• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed X: The step into other worlds

"W-we should go back..." Zora whispered weakly. She forced herself off the ground and groaned. She couldn't decide. Did she hate her, or did she truly feel sorry? Oh what she would give to have Rhythm here to talk to right now. Or at least so she could hug him. She needed a hug.
"Zoraaa..." Spirit muttered.
"S-sorry..."
----------------
"Raiquen, I'm Fairwind... Shut uuuup..." And the voice cut off with a snore.

Raith floated next to Zora, stared at her for a couple moments, then floated out of the open rift. Aidan sighed, and followed quickly.
------
Raiquen blinked. The first thing he did was slam his head on the wall.
"Nope, not dreaming. Must be crazy. Good night." He muttered, walking into his room and closing the door.

Zora looked up, and then ran out of the rift with the others. The questions filled her mind, and she needed sleep badly.
-------------------
Windfall covered her mouth.
"Be quiet. You'll wake everyone. I'll explain in the morning good night."

Raith blinked, and looked over the treetops.
"It's nearly dawn. Let's go quickly before they notice that we're gone."
"Agreed." Aidan said, running ahead.

Windfall simply shrugged, then went back into her room and fell asleep as soon as she hit the pillow.
---------

Zora also dashed back to the house, and when she reached it, she silently slipped inside the back door. Where she entered the first room she saw. The questions were still swimming around in her head. She had been distracted, so she hadn't noticed that it was the wrong room (I'm sure Markku could guess who's) until now.
"Must've gone into the wrong room...That's right, mine was next door...Oh I wish I could hug him without waking him up, but... oh well..." she whispered tiredly. Too tired to care. So she lay down on the floor next to the bed and she fell asleep there.

Raith floated into his room, but he knew that there was no use trying to sleep, so he left his door open and laid down on the bed. This was the first time in quite a while he hadn't been floating, and it felt relaxing to him. He jumped as Aidan shut his door quietly, but regained his composure momentarily.

Spirit was the last to get back, and she just walked in through the front. No one would care. She saw that the door to Zora's room was still wide open, and figured either she was too tired to notice or walked into the wrong room and fell asleep there. So she shrugged and sat in a chair. She wasn't tired.

Raith heard someone come in, and glanced at the clock on the wall. It was a bit early, but ideal for waking up. He rose and floated out into the main room and saw Spirit sitting on a chair. He sat a few seats away.
"So...how were you notified that we had left?" He asked casually.

Spirit glanced at him.
"I sometimes get weird visions when I sleep. The one before this was of my sister kissing a tree, then I woke up and there she was. I dunno, I guess I'd seen a little bit of the fight Zora was in, woke up and ran off in the directions Zora and Aidan's shoeprints had gone off in. Then I found that rift, went inside, heard the fight and the rest is history." she explained, "And after all that I'm still not tired."

"Hm. If you're not tired after all that..." Raith muttered, but he didn't feel like finishing. He sighed and stretched a bit, then failed to find another subject for conversation.

"Well then..." Spirit sighed, "I suppose the only thing to do now is just sit here until it's late enough that the others wake up." she glanced at the clock on the wall. It wouldn't be for a couple of hours yet, though dawn was beginning to break outside.

Raith exhaled solemnly. He might just fall asleep here while he was waiting for the others. Sighing, he laid back in his chair and let his mind wander.

Spirit yawned.
Guess I'm more tired than I thought... she thought to herself. It was gonna be a long wait and Raith already looked like he was gonna fall asleep. She figured she might too, if she didn't find something to amuse herself.

Raith broke his stupor and leaned forward, leaning his head on his fist.
"Hm. I'm hungry. But I suppose we have to wait for that girl to wake up..."
Meanwhile, with Rhythm's door ajar, frigid morning air blew in and flowed over his body, making him shiver and slowly awaken.
"Hrrrh..." He groaned, turning over and trying to get back to sleep. That was when he spotted Zora asleep on the floor. Rhythm thought about waking her, but decided against it and closed his eyes.

"No, I believe I saw some small snack foods laid out on the counter." Spirit muttered, standing up. That's when she noticed the door ajar.
"Better go shut those..." she said to herself, striding down the hallway making nary a sound. She slowly shut the door to the room Zora was supposed to be in first, then before shutting Rhythm's, she peered in. Sure enough, there she was. Curled up on the floor.
"That's what I thought..." she mouthed before pulling her head back out and closing the door all the way. She then went and sat back down.
Meanwhile, Zora awoke to the sound of the door shutting. Figuring someone was awake, she closed her eyes again, shifted around a bit, shivered slightly and fell back asleep. She truly was exhausted, and you could see it.
