• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed X: The step into other worlds

"God, calm down." Rhythm groaned, "I'll just be on the roof, then." he muttered, standing up and stepping outside. When he was out of the house, he jumped up and hovered up just enough to sit on the edge.
"That man is crazy." Raith muttered.

"Meh. He'll be back in. Soaked, but back in." Spirit sighed, staring at the pair of legs that was dangling down.
"Probably thinks it'll wake him up." Darkness agreed.
"Probably..." Starlight mumbled.

Rhythm laid down on the roof, hair wet and dangling in front of his face. His clothes were drenched, but it cooled him off. As the rain hit his body in mesmerizing cadence, he nearly fell asleep on the roof.
"Whatever. His choice." Raith muttered, considering whether or not he should go back to his room.

"Yes, it is." Spirit murmured, "He can get drenched if he wants."
Darkness yawned.
"Think I'll go stand out in the rain myself for a minute. It'll probably wake me up." with that, she grabbed her trenchcoat off the hook by the door and went out.
"Meh." Starlight muttered.

Rhythm was drifting in the middle of sleep and conscious, when he heard the door shut.
"Eh? Whozzat?" He asked, sitting up and not able to see because of his hair.
Raith rose up and floated over to the coffee machine. He stared at it for a moment, then pressed a button and it started up.
"That was hard."

Darkness glanced up.
"Calm down. It's only Darkness. Were you sleeping up there?"
Spirit stared.
"How the hell was that hard?"

"I was hoping the rain would wake me up. Appears to be working." Darkness sighed. She certainly felt soaked, and that was enough.
Spirit snickered.
"You are aware that it was the little red one, right?"

"Mmm..." Rhythm muttered, sitting up as someone called his name. Finally brushing the hair out of his face, he saw a blonde-haired man step out of the trees, soaking wet.
"Took long enough to find you."
"Hullo, Marshall."
Raith blinked at the coffee maker, then sighed and laid his head down on the table.
"It's always the red one..." He muttered, straightening up and pushing it.

"Oh. Hello Marshall." Darkness muttered, shaking the wet hair out of her face.
"Oh hey, look." Starlight mumbled as she watched out the window.
"Hm..." Spirit grunted.

"You guys keep switching places so quickly. It's hard to keep up." Marshall muttered, looking down at his drenched self.
"And now I'm soaked. Just great."
"What, don't like water?" Rhythm asked, cracking a smile.
"Hisss." Marshall imitated, "So, anyway, can I go inside now?"
Raith looked up from his glaring at the coffee maker.
"Hm?" He floated over and looked out the window. "And who might that be?"

"Was just about to go in myself." Darkness stated, "Come on." and she opened the door for him.
"That, sir, would be Marshall. Rhythm's brother." Spirit explained.
"Yes and I wonder how long he's been out in the rain. He looks soaked." Starlight pointed out.

Marshall eagerly walked in.
"Finally out of that rain..." He muttered, brushing his hair aside.
"Didn't look this big from the outside...Where'd Rhythm go?"
"Probably back up onto the roof." Raith muttered, floating out of the kitchen. "Hello, I'm Raith."
"Er...Pleased to meet you, I'm Marshall."

"Yeah we know. The floating is a bit strange at first." Spirit mumbled, "And he doesn't even know how to work a coffee maker. Good to see you again."
"Yup, same goes for me. And I don't think he ever even left the roof. I can still see him up there." Starlight sighed.
"Good morning..." A voice groaned, revealing itself as Cyndra. She blinked at Marshall a minute before realizing who it was.
"Oh... Hello..."

"Why is there a pair of legs hanging down off the roof...?" Cyndra asked groggily.
"That'd be Rhythm." Darkness answered, "Don't know why he's still out in the rain though.
"Mornin', all... Rain woke me up..." the voice of Kirita mumbled as she staggered out into the room. Her hair was an absolute mess, but she looked well-rested.
"Whossat?" she asked, pointing at Marshall.

"This is some dude named Marshall." Sephii said, "I think I might have heard your name before."

(Make Falar come. Zora, didja tell him?)

"I'm the winged dude's brother." Marshall explained.
"Simple enough." Raith muttered, looking up as he heard footsteps in the aisle.
"Hello all..." Aidan muttered, his blue hair as messy as it could be.
