Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • I was just trying to think of a gimmicky FF9 idea and the only dungeon with a real gimmick is Ipsen's Castle, but having all the weak moves be strong and vice versa is just stupid and game-breaking.
I doubt it'd be allowed, for some reason.
We could battle on it if you want :D It's better than my Ipsen's Castle idea anyway.
    Rough arena description:

    "Abandoned Stone Factory

This arena is situated in the dilapidated warehouse of a factory employed at one time years ago to make evolution stones. It was evacuated about 20 years ago- possibly after some sort of accident, nobody knows. All they do know is there's radiation from the stones they worked with everywhere and the place is in terrible shape. After a lot of inspection and research by guys with Geiger counters and space suits, the radiation was declared harmless to humans and Pokémon. People who insist on entering for whatever strange reason are now allowed to do so.

However, the radiation, though harmless, has some... interesting effects on Pokémon. Due to its intensity it can randomly mutate Pokémon into an entirely different species. Each round, both Pokémon will evolve at random into anything from Magikarp to Tyranitar- anything as long as it belongs to an evolutionary family. There are also samples of the factory's erstwhile stock lying under the rubble, meaning that Pokémon have a 1% chance of discovering a random evolution stone (3% for Pokémon with Pickup)."

Still needs ironing out but there's the gist.
    S'ok, I already shotgunned a Slowking/Nidoking called Dalton :D

And tonight I thought up an awesomely fun idea for an arena that I'll never be allowed to use but I'll have a damn good try someday anyway.
Or some gimmicky arena I've yet to envision. Well, I've yet to think of one that WORKS anyway. But I think Pokémon named after Final Fantasy characters should get some advantage, yup. *shot*
    Aw DDD:

    I KNOW RITE :D
When I'm not barred from challenging any more and I finish the match I've arranged with blazhawhatserface, we should do battle. On some sort of Final Fantasy-related stage :3
FF7's pretty great :D In fact I've named three of my ASB team after characters from it.

    Have you got it yet?
Um, so... you know Dreams of the Past, right?

Yeah, well, here's what Kali and I were thinking we could do with our characters. I'll just copypaste what was said, 'cause I can't explain it any better:

"But basically, Zemhal, Mourmedy, and Tanya could all be rival executives from the same company, all looking to enhance their own power at the expense of the others, and from that starting point, she could have figured out what Tanya was planning at Union Cave, sent your spy to watch it unfold, and be there to try to take the sleepers away from Tanya"

Your thoughts? I want to try it, and so does Kali, but like, yeah.
    I called Robo R-66Y.

    LUCCA: "What's your name?"
ROBO: "My serial number is R-66Y."
    LUCCA: "Cool!"
MARLE: "What do you mean cool?! That won't do at all! Come on Chrono, let's give him a better name!"
    "...R-66Y! Perfect!!"
I know >: He's my favouritest character in the game.
Though I did name him Glenn in my New Game+, hoping it'll lead to some amusing lines.
    Second form is HARD.

I beat it with Magus, Frog and Crono. Basically I spammed Luminaire, Dark Matter and Water II, and cast Frenzy and Aerial Strike on the pod that absorbs magic. EVENTUALLY, I wore it down and beat it. Though at one point Magus and Frog were taken out and Crono only had 300 or so HP. But it was preparing to regenerate the pods I think, so I had time to heal them.

In the ending I saw, Frog turns back into Glenn D:
    >w<

On another note I complete Chrono Trigger today ^^ And might have nearly beat Revenant Wings too, had Mydia not just managed to cling on and beat me D:
