Yeah, that's a good way to learn words and phrases and things. I only stopped learning a while ago, but I've forgotten loads. I wrote down and learned a bunch of really awesome phrases from a friend's Japanese Travel Companion-thing a while ago, but I think I've lots all my notes. I liked being able to say "Do I have a STI?" In Japanese. D:

Oh, I live off comedy animes with no plots, they're the best kind :3 I prefer character-driven stuff to plot-driven stuff any day. It's normally way funnier.

I've never worked with clay you'd make bowl and stuff out of on a pottery wheel, but I used to adore making stuff out of kiddie mouldable clay. Hee, that was so fun~

A dictionary is good as far as the vocabulary goes, but I think it'd be much easier to have lessons or to have specialized textbooks to help you learn the sentence structure and things. it's much easier than English, but still damn hard :/
I'm hopeless at making sentences and using proper tenses and stuff, though. I was decent at everything else in Frnch class except for that. Well, that and my appalling accent XD
