• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • I actually read The Three Musketeers. I found it very good even if it was a bit dense.

Maybe it's just my school. At least two of my senior friends had a shitty sophomore year. I don't wanna discourage you; you're in Germany! Everything is probably upside down there (disregard that it resides in the northern hemisphere and that I've been there).
I graduated and got a job, but despite that I'm still doing my usual thing of wishing I could do [skill] and have [hobby] but I can't and give up whenever I try.

Did you see my post in the dream thread from a couple of days ago?
Yeah it'll be easier with him gone

ONE OF MY CLASSMATES INFORMED ME THAT I'M DRINKING FOR HER SO THAT'S...SOMETHING

It's Chello because it was a nickname. also that class sounds amazing
I HOPE SO MAN SHE SEEMED OKAY AT DINNER YESTERDAY

AND YEAH!!!! DRUNK!FLORA SCARES ME BUT EVERYONE'S LIKE "WE'RE GONNA GET YOU THIS KINDA SHOT" AND OH MY LORD ALSO WHAT SINCE WHEN ARE YOU TEN

i haven't actually played cello! i'm a voice person. that being said...if you can think of any other electives you really really want, the band thing might not be a good idea, but if you can't, then I'd say go for band and see if you like it!
Spanish lit, to me, is a tad drier (usually because in Spanish we focus on older literature, or maybe it's not as interesting). Of course, I read English out of school, plus I was proven wrong by El Corazon de Voltaire (Voltaire's Heart) by Luis Lopez Nieves (who's coming to our school on September 8th). It can vary a lot, just like in English.

This year is so much better than sophomore year. I can feel it already.
OH UPDATE A FRIEND INFORMED ME THAT HE WAS DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK AND EVEN SENT ME THE FULL TEXT OF THE THING WHERE HE SAID THIS
I WAS UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT WE WOULDN'T NEED THEM RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE WE WERE SENT NOTHING

IT'S NOT CAST YET BECAUSE WE START ACTUALLY DOING SHIT FOR IT IN SPRING (THEREFORE NOT CAST TILL DECEMBER)

YEAH I'M GLAD HE WON'T BE HARASSING ME BUT TBH I DON'T KNOW IF MY FORMER ROOMMATE AND I CAN SALVAGE OUR FRIENDSHIP (OR AT LEAST GET BACK ON BETTER TERMS AGAIN) UNLESS A MIRACLE HAPPENS SO THAT SUCKS
TAP IS ACTUALLY REQUIRED FOR MY MAJOR BUT I'M SUPER EXCITED EXCEPT I DON'T HAVE TAP SHOES YET OOPS

WE'RE DOING SLEEPING BEAUTY! I THINK WE WERE GONNA DO MY FRIEND'S (YOU KNOW THE ONE) VERSION OF PRINCESS AND THE PEA BUT THEN WE CHANGED MUSICALS AND DID ONE OF THAT INSTEAD.

ALSO ASSHOLE EX-FRIEND PROBABLY GOT KICKED OUT OF SCHOOL BUT HE HASN'T SAID ANYTHING REGARDING THAT AS FAR AS I KNOW? I JUST KNOW THEY LEFT HIM OUT OF THE EMAILS.
    THAT DOES SOUND EXCITING

I'M TAKING ADVANCED MUSICAL THEATER WHICH IS COOL AND ALSO TAP AND WE'RE GETTING READY FOR OUR SENIOR SHOW!!!
WHOA I HAVEN'T BEEN ON HERE IN WEEKS WHAT

I'M DOING ALL RIGHT KINDA PANICKING ABOUT SCHOOL BUT THAT'S NOTHING NEW HOW ABOUT YOU???
Hey! Just wanted to let you know you should post in your battle vs MrKyurem before the DQ comes.
Shit, man. That's a lot of people.

It doesn't! I'm actually sad that I don't get to read more Spanish since I'm not nearly as fluent as I am in English.
Oh shit, 600? At my high school, there are about 400 students (rounded down) alone. The school has a high, middle, elementary, and preschool, so yeah. 600 is tiny for me.

They are. The literature is read in Spanish and English classes.
    Oh my God.

Good luck with that. You're gonna need it.

Usually in Spanish, the reading is exactly like that- dry and boring. This particular book isn't, and neither was one we read in 9th grade.
Five years wouldn't make that much of a difference, but maybe lol

And definitely, I'd rathr live a boring yet safe life.
    Fanservice=money, that's why.

Holy moly, Batman! I pick my classes in May of the previous year. Of course, you're going to a school in Germany, so that explains that.

I don't particularly mind havjng to read a lot. We have to pick a book per month (total of ten), and then present it or something. We'll hear later about it, i guess.
The only one I've watched in its entirety is Kill la Kill. Once you get past all the fanservice, it's a really good anime!

I'd watch it, but I have too many things going on. Streaming ceases to exist for me during the school year.

That's pretty cool. I'll get to read it once school's over, since APUSH and APLit are read-a-thons.
