Ah, it's alright. It'll just mean I'll have to work a little harder/procrastinate less. But I'll only take one of those battles for the moment, so choose which one you want reffed first and I'll claim it tonight and post the thread tomorrow.

Detect should generally be calculated the same as protect, yes; flavor-wise the extra energy cost for avoiding stronger attacks would just go toward getting out of the way faster instead of putting up a stronger barrier.
Quick and wide guard would be about the same, yeah.
Hey, uh. You're using my reffing scale, right? If so, there's actually a special ruling for the energy cost of protect/detect that says they only cost 4% base if nothing attacks the user, so I'm not really sure where you got 8% from unless you've switched to a different scale.
I know there are a lot of TM's. It's just that most of them can't be used for most pokémon: since mega punch was made into a tutor, the only pokémon that could possibly use mega punch are those from gen IV or V, since anything else that could have it would have gotten it from those tutors.
Also, is Meursault okay with this? You don't make any indication that you actually asked him anywhere in your post.
