• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • Do you still want to ref that battle? It doesn't look like it is going anywhere on the E-Ref end of deals. I know you have the Metronome Contest going, but felt like I should ask.
Eh, probably I'll get around to putting up an official discussion thread or social group or something if people want somewhere similar to chat.
... bah, pretty much forgot about the metronome contest until stalking bluzzy today.

should be able to get the rest of it done by ... saturday. (not that it's likely to happen, we are about as efficient about this as ... well, see negrek? less than that, on smaller projects.)
OK. I can help if you need an extra judge, but I'm sure blazhy and the others will respond if you remind them about it.
Alright. I am going to call an E-Ref. This is nothing against you, but I want to see another refs version of the battle.
    Mr. Fancy Pants,
This time I'm asking you on my own, how is the reffing going?

    Le Sabre
if you're referring to my most recent one...
I wonder how long Negrek will take to reduce me to a smoking pile of rack and rubble
Why not just spam myself, in that instance? It would make the extra pages gained seem rather hollow, but, it gets the job done. And I wouldn't have to worry about annoying other people as much.

Hrm... maybe, although reflecting it in the Sugimori or TCG art wouldn't be that bad. I think I prefer the scaly!arms to mortarms. (Yeah, that's probably it. It looks sort of like an unduck-mammal-thing now, as opposed to an unduck-salamander. And, looking at it, I'm pretty sure the mouth is the main reason I dislike magmortar.)

Fine, then! I'll start with you! And the next person will come later. How limited is my LIMITED TIME? Until another stalker outspeeds me to claim the prize?

How far are you in the conversation, then? It might not be too late to turn back! At a certain point, though, you have to be interested in the discussion; otherwise, the stalking is rather silly. There's not too much information to be gained in a message saying only "*TOSSES PIE GRENADE*" or anything similarly random and preposterous.

... That would actually be pretty nice. And I don't bother with the New Posts search. Even better, though, would be a VM count. I'm curious how it correlates with my regular postcount.

It's getting a bit more inflated, though. Did I ever say anything to the extent that it happens often for me? Soon, it'll be Kusari-length. It'd give the stalkers a challenge, I suppose! And I'm quite certain that you're right. This will never get past the length it is now, and it is practically microscopic. Your computer cannot even comprehend the idea of magnifying the text to the point that it is large enough to read. Before you could do that, you would enlarge the rest of the screen to the point that a single letter takes up all of the space. (All of it.) And look, I'm putting in obligatory references again. At least I read Homestuck! I think I have an awful habit of unintentionally implying I read/play/whatever something when I don't. I don't quite remember getting called out on it, but I know it's going to happen eventually. I need to read/play/whatever a lot more things, probably. "Waste more time playing video games and watching anime" is not the best short-term life goal, though, so I... will think about the prospect.

You stole the spot from blazhy, too! Well, more accurately, I messed with my signature to be more BfA and less everything else, and then I decided you were right. It's never not the time to mention that Rayquaza is awesome.
True. If I really wanted to get somewhere, I'd start up another conversation with someone who has either way more pages than me, or a lot less. (Maybe, to make your stalking life more difficult, Kusari. It only has about 17 pages of VMs.)

Exactly! I really liked how scaly a magmar's arms are, and it couldn't have been that hard to translate the texture. (Also, is it just me, or do magmar's post-gen-III sprites look particularly odd/awful?)

Hey! What if I want some candy, too? Am I supposed to stalk all of my old conversations? Because that would be just horrible. I don't want to look at myself from two years back! (I wonder how well going through my first few pages of conversation and deleting everything I said would work out.)

She did say it was super-long, which was warning enough. And I better tell Kusari to reply! The work of a stalker is never finished.

A pretty short one, too, but I wouldn't worry about it. I tend to hit it with a few particularly thick paragraphs, rather than something like this. Unless we make our conversation as long as the page, we'll be fine.
