• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • I was going to post it a minute ago but then I had to log in again and now it's gone. Damnit.

Now I have to rewrite it.
I have a copy, but it's shit quality, so yeah, if you have a download link that'd be amazing! ^_^ *hug*
    HOLY SHIT YES.

    ^_^ Thank you! *glomp*

Also, yeah, I've actually seen firsthand how Bubble Man is portrayed in Japan...in fact...Here's a particularly entertaining example. :3
Okay. ;_; I didn't mean to take that long, but between being suddenly dragged out of the house to go to some farmer's market without warning and having to gut out my room on short notice, I didn't get as much time as I thought I would.

Oh, and I actually did a complete rendition of the original idea, but hell, it's still a crossover, and hell, there are still no human partners.
Hi Maley. I'm about to type up the first post to the RP, just so you know. I'll have it in the Idea Center soon.
Hmm... Well, in that case... I don't really recall the bosses in Empire of Dreams that well, but I do remember that the second form of the final boss was rather difficult.

The King of Sorrow's first form can get rather difficult, as well as Cursed Leorina in Klonoa 2, and Polonte the Hatchling form 2. I don't recall all of the bosses in the handheld games unfortunately, and I don't feel like trying to solve any ridiculous puzzles right now, so I'm not gonna play them at the moment >.> (The puzzles near the end of Empire of Dreams can get ridiculous sometimes x.x)
Well, unfortunately, Klonoa 2 has no extra bosses. Just the two extra stages. The King of Sorrow... The first part of the fight can be a little difficult, especially if you're not careful. The second part isn't hard, it's just a bit of an endurance match. In fact, it can be a bit easier than most bosses in the game, mainly with the ability to do damage at least 3 times at any given time you pick up an object.
Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention, Klonoa 2 is a little longer than the first. Depending on how you play, it generally takes about a weekend just playing through like your average gamer. Blowing through in a speed run, it should take about a day to a day and a half.
Ummm... Well, I find it to be a little harder than the original. It's still easy, and is a relatively short game, but some of the puzzles can be a little confusing, as well as one of the stages, and the bosses do gain *some* difficulty toward the end of the game, but they're still a little easy.

If you've got the strategies down on your mind like the back of your hand, the first several bosses shouldn't even take more than a minute. Another thing with the stages is that instead of saving villagers, you recover Momett Doll parts, but it's the same concept really, although in some of the stages, you really have to look for them. You also need to actually actively seek all of the Dream Stones in each stage as well.

Also, collecting all of the Doll pieces in Klonoa 2 will unlock 2 fairly difficult bonus stages, Chamber O' Horrors, and Chamber O' Fun, that have no bearing on the game whatsoever except to be difficult, and to be Time Attack stages of sorts.

    I hope that helps you out a bit, since I'm generally not the one to go to when asking about the difficulty about a Platformer when I find every Platformer I play to be relatively easy. If I find Megaman easy, imagine how easy I find Klonoa to be xD;;
Sadly, I'm still working on it. And I don't like posting RPs before I know what the hell I'm doing with it, but I could try and hurry...?
Probably either tomorrow or Sunday, I think. But yes, you can reserve beforehand~
Hm, alright. I hadn't actually considered that. I'll be going with idea #2, then. Thanks~
Like I said before, it's just a sliver of an idea, and there are still some things I'm debating on. Um, maybe you can help? What I've established so far: Bunch of adolescents (I'm leaving it open, but generally you assume most people will be playing characters at least under 21) wake up in a strange alternate dimension/dream world filled with fictional characters. Now what I'm debating on is, whether we have a sort of partner system with characterxhuman, or, a slightly more original idea I had, the humans actually turn into said characters. They would, for the most part, retain their personalities (although I'm considering that possibly said character could have an influence on that), their own memories, etc.. I'm actually somewhat biased to the first idea, but thoughts?
