I was watching the series in lieu of rereading the first three books so I could read the fourth and fifth, but now I think I'm going to reread the whole series anyway... rip my free time

Oof, I should probably let you know that a sleeping Pokémon cannot be Taunted, and that extends to most (if not all) other emotion-based moves.
How does the Unown slot machine thing work? Does it use Hidden Power each action, and what type is the Hidden Power? Does it take damage whenever its master does, or only from AOE attacks and things specifically aimed at it?
Also, for the Cherubi effect, does the terrain last for the duration of the round or for the regular six actions?

The Aeris limit break you're talking about is the one where everyone gets healed a bit, right? I used that for only a little while, I didn't usually have her in my party x3 Red XIII has an awesome design and his story is good too - it made the canyon a more interesting place for me.

I also used to swim competitively but I was, like, nine. It doesn't really count. x3

And you can't pause in FFVII's battles? Does the Start button pause (or am I remembering something completely different, which is too possible, blargh fried brain)?
And do you have a favorite character yet? Out of the early ones I liked Tifa because of the randomness of her Limit Break.

You can go ahead and give out the regular prizes for a ref test battle, I think, since it went on long enough. Experience should be awarded as normal (I'm assuming that's what you did).
Also, you'd pit Ron DeLite against Luke Atmey without letting him fully evolve?! horrible
I-I don't know where you heard that... some of his Pokémon are unchanged...
Ron DeLite has a STAB advantage over Luke Atmey though, he should stick to fucking whales
