• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • Right, that one. Sorry, I'm confused--you're just letting me know in general that you don't mind future waits, or had you actually not seen it until now?

If nothing else, you can PM him about the DQ; he might have it set to email him when he gets PMs, and if he sees the email he may come back. /shrug
Ahahah, heh... actually, I did ref the next round already, back in early November. (Unless it doesn't show up as posted for you? I can see it...?) I just didn't give you a DQ warning because you'd mentioned not feeling well at the time, and haven't gotten around to saying anything since because I haven't been feeling so great myself. :P But if you're ready to give commands then go right ahead, and if you can't see the round then I'll repost it. Sorry about not mentioning it sooner, heh.

(Or maybe you guys did post and it's me who can't see your commands, bluh. I dunno.)

And thank you! I really enjoy your reffings as well. Speaking of which, could you maybe give Lucas a DQ warning in my battle with him? I just remembered that one too hahaha whoops.
Well, I'd say there would be considerable space in between the two at default; if you're aiming at both then there would definitely be a 30% chance.
Depends on where it was aimed at! All pokemon will be sent out in the middle of the arena to start (no real reason, it's just simple); if the icy wind is aimed at a single target that isn't particularly close to the bushes then no. So, say, if you were aiming at Tahoma; tropius are a pretty large target and it would be simple enough to make sure it just doesn't hit the bushes on the way. If you were aiming at Calibri, though, charmander are much smaller and might have a chance depending on location. I might as well hammer out a random number, so let's say 30%.
    Helloe~

Just to say that I might take your battle against Effercon (and I won't make your bunny energyfaint). Are you still interested?

EDIT: IF Mendatt is DQ'd, which is highly probable since he hasn't been on since a while. At worst you'll have to wait for Skyman vs Zapi to finish...
"Zhorken temporarily hung up his Pokeballs, while Rarity was jailed for perjury"

    o_O What happened?
Yes, who scores the last hit matters. If something faints by energy, then if that wasn't caused by something a pokémon did (i.e. attacked energy directly, spited, something along those lines), then the last pokémon to attack it gets the KO. If it was an intentional energy KO, then the pokémon who caused it gets the point instead.
Pokémon get one EXP for being sent into battle, plus one additional for each pokémon they KO. So you can't do that anymore, no.
I wouldn't worry about it too much; freeze almost never comes up. It's more of a "deal with on a case-by-case basis" thing, really.
Well, where did the attack hit? Whatever the attack hit, that would be what gets frozen. Typically that entire limb would be completely immobilized. The only attacks that can cause full-body freeze are attacks like blizzard that strike... the whole body. "Several actions" depends on how/whether the pokémon tries to remove the ice, but would be between three and five with no intervention.

Freeze doesn't fade or have a set duration like the other statuses, but in general it doesn't last very long since a frozen pokémon just smashes the ice or uses a fire attack on itself or something right away. It shouldn't last more than five actions or so.
Could you be more specific? I mean, this is the basics:

The freeze status is usually less dire in ASB than it is in the games. It is rare that the pokémon will be entirely encased in ice and unable to move at all. Usually, a couple of its limbs will be immobilized at most, unless the opponent specifically concentrates on freezing it all the way. Freeze will naturally fade after several actions as the pokémon thaws, but there are a multitude of ways to speed up the process, and being struck by a fire attack will outright eliminate the condition.

    What would you like clarified?
