@Eifie, do you have thoughts on missingno and Dodge's responses to your pokes? / specifically, curious for your thoughts on this thought:
I think missingno's response is maybe slightly towny, because it feels pretty brazen to actually type out, effectively, "I have no thoughts and I am aware this is suspicious", whereas he seems like he would want to go under-the-radar as mafia and also has at least enough experience with the game to be aware that it'd be less sus to make something up. I'm not sure if I'm making too much out of it, since their other posts haven't inspired much for me - I guess the thought process for mafia missingno there would have been something like "no one is having thoughts, so to blend in I will also profess to not have thoughts"

tbh I mostly wanted to try to help the newer players get into the game more than I was looking for much from their responses. I dunno if I can get much out of them.

re: your thought, we've both tried to apply this read many times before and it has turned out to be solidly non-indicative. I've definitely seen newer players who are mafia brazenly declare to have no thoughts whatsoever.

hm, i don't think these things were necessarily opposed? i did have the same question as you. but i think it was +town for her to bring it up as a point of discussion at a stage where nothing was really happening, and her response to your post also made enough sense to me. i will say that i am a bit unsure if that was meant to be an FoS on keldeo but i also have a tendency to misread mf's intent so i'm tempted to give the benefit of the doubt atm.

any particular reason why Mawile? I can think of a couple, but let's hear it from the wet horse's mouth first

anyway I can't remember if anyone asked me for I was feeling about it now but I read MF's ISO and everything I thought has kind of evaporated lmao. I mean it literally did give me a jumping off point to start asking people things and getting them posting at least a little game related content so. that sure was a good thing.

I do have a thought but in full awareness that MF and I end up in a slap fight (game-wise!!! ) basically every time we play together I think I should try to simply be normal

That said, I'll second Mawile's request for the reasons MF had thought of for keldeo picking Mawile. Not because I think they'll be enlightening, but I bet they'll be funny.

Okay fair, I will reset on him, but 2. it was a read specifically relating to whether his persona as a socially conscious player would be able to do that fearlessly, not him as a new player, but 3. I agree that if he is mafia, he is playing up the "I got nothing" angle, so 4. let's just let him cook since he hasn't returned yet. Also, yes, I think that is silly, he clearly is around and reading/posting, so I think it's fair to wolfread them for similar reasons to anyone else (but let's continue this conversation after they answer my question)

I kinda think if mewtini is mafia, her attitude toward MF makes MF more likely to be town, but I have no particular reason to suspect or trust mewtini rn.

As for your question now that I am no longer too high and too sleepy to function, probably mewtini? #VibesOnly no real reasoning behind it, I suppose. I don't typically like to toss out trustworthy/untrustworthy thoughts on a Day 1/Round 1 No Murder Yet type thing, so I really haven't thought about it much. Day 2 is the backreading & overanalysis day.

Hmm...I'm not sure on who I'd place a vote on, don't really think anyone is particular sus right now.
If I had to pick who I find trustworthy, I guess mewtini has been sounding pretty consistent with how she did the last few games, and she was town on those. Which doesn't rule her out, but at least makes me lean to trust her a bit, I guess?

Twitter mafia is played in DM group chats, but players are also allowed to vaguetweet about the game. Tweets themselves tend to be mostly memes and aren't helpful, but the group chat format definitely lends itself to bickering in a way that I find pretty similar to IRL mafia. I also played with a group of friends from a specific fandom, so we all sort of knew each other already, and we ended up playing so many games that we also got a pretty good feel for each others' patterns and such in different roles. I imagine that forum mafia will feel less like being in a sorority Facebook group, LOL

Wow, being able to vague tweet about an ongoing game sounds fun lol. How do you think you will approach this game not knowing as many participants as well?

All right, I'm home and done with things and able to have proper thoughts finally.

I also noticed MF claiming to have a night action, although what I personally get from that is, like, a signal that she's a town power role (if she were genuinely wondering if she'd missed submitting a night action as mafia, surely she'd just look at mafia chat and whether any discussion had taken place, and would deduce easily that she had not just missed a night phase). Giving that signal so plainly out of the gate does feel pretty performative to me, at least from an experienced player - not actually an instance of sincere confusion but a conscious decision to come into the thread and indicate she has a power role, which could be done by a townie wanting to bait a shot, etc. or by mafia to appear town.

MF's prodding about the Mawile vote feels vaguely tryhard, in that I found the randomness of it obvious enough and when it's fairly obviously random there's also not much to discuss about it on its own (only about Mawile and others' reaction to it), so I'm sort of like what kind of poking were you even expecting to have happened. But I also think MF reads scummy to me a lot even when town, so I'm not immediately certain it's actually alignment-indicative. I am at least having some feelings on MF all in all, though.

Mawile's initial nonreaction I find innocuous, the no elimination vote on the basis of not wanting to get hammered I feel a bit stranger about because it vaguely suggests being antsier about getting voted out than I'd quite have expected from town with some experience? Like, the day is 72 hours and probably people aren't about to just shrug and let someone get eliminated off one random vote given at the start, or randomly pile on that person just because they're technically in the lead, so the countervote feels defensive/paranoid.

I think I feel good about missingno?'s play so far, newbie just going along with what other people are doing and not really wanting to stir the pot by questioning how people are playing the game makes good sense to me and probably more so than for a mafia newbie who would be more aware of being scrutinized for whether they're solving. But obviously I do not have any kind of actual meta info on how he plays.

Keldeo feels towny but also Keldeo is responsible for one of the most powerful times I've ever townread someone who turned out to be mafia, so I am permanently wary.

I don't think I know how to read Eifie at all, though there more by virtue of it has been a long time and I cannot remember whatever impressions I've had of her play before.

No one else has stood out much to me so far, will probably go back and ISO more people later. So far, roughly, I trust MF and Mawile the least, missingno? the most, neutral by cannot get a good read on Keldeo and Eifie, neutral by no standout impression on others?
