• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Chasers of Emotion (the second)

The muttering continued.
Frustrated that he couldn't get back to sleep, Grok sat up. "Shut up," he muttered, although due to his almost-deafness his voice was altered to the point where it was almost unrecognizable.

"Good," Solar said. "We can head off now. The scientists are getting closer."

"I'm Ame. Who are you? Can you turn Pokémon?" Ame asked the one who had just woken up. She began to look in the direction that Solar had been. She definitely saw something near the horizon...

"Let's go then," said Yamikurou. He looked in the direction where Ame was, and there was clearly something coming into view.

Kamikaze followed suit with his friend. He could make out the outlines of something, but he didn't know what.

"Those are the scientists, right?" he asked.

Tim looked out to where some of the others were staring. Something was coming, and whatever it was was almost certainly bad.
Even if it isn't the scientists themselves, it wouldn't have been hard for them to persuade the locals that we are dangerous - or even in danger ourselves - and need capturing.
"We have to go now," he said in his monotonous voice, "and ideally we need to hide somewhere, preferably somewhere they won't expect."
He looked around for somewhere which would provide a good hiding place.

"How about the town?" Ame recommended. "As long as we're all human, they won't be able to find us."

Solar nodded. "Ame's idea is good..."

Ame blushed slightly.

"...But we need to do a lot in so little time. Either everyone needs to work fast, or we're all going to be caught."

"What do you propose we do then?" asked Tim, "because if we don't move now, we will get caught out here, but can we get to the town in time. I for one can't, unless you have any really good ideas about how to move us very fast."

"Someone carry that guy!" Ame said. "Let's go!"

She, along with Solar, began to dash towards the town. They would make it if the others followed quickly enough. But somehow, Ame wasn't sure. After they got to the town, they would need to find something to do. Like a job, perhaps. She nodded to herself, and Solar and she just kept running.

Someone carry that guy? That'll be me then, thought Tim, as he stooped next to Grok.

"Come on, we're moving now," he said as he heaved the other man over his shoulder and followed the others.

"Well," said Kamikaze, "Shiftry's winds can go extremely fast, so I could knock down a few trees to slow them down... or to boost your running speed, whichever you like."

"I say slow them, but don't make it look like the attacks are from us; we don't want anyone to find our approach suspicious. We can get away with running away from someone, but we don't want to draw attention to ourselves more than we have to."

"Of course I'm just the 'dumb muscle' of the group, and don't have any real say in what we do, so it's your call, I suppose."

"Can you do both?" Ame asked. "But then again, the townspeople might get mad at us... Can anyone turn into a Pokémon that's not rare, can run fast, and is strong enough to hold at least two of us?"

Solar just ignored the chat.

"I asked, can you do both?" Ame growled, even though she was in human form.

"Actually, it would be wisest to just speed us up," Solar remarked. "The trees all coming crashing down would make us look too suspicious."

"Wait... that's right," Ame said. "Just use the wind to speed us up, then. Unless you think otherwise, then I think that the former is a better idea."

((Cryptica, can you please lengthen your posts so that they are at least two full lines combined? They're getting pretty short and monotonous lately, and when you have short posts, we get short posts too. :/))

"No tree crash it is!" said Kamikaze.

Yamikurou caught up with Ame. "He'll do it soon, don't worry."

"Make me happy or something," he said. "I can't do it."

"Why ever not?"

"Well, we're having a long, monotonous conversation. Scratch that idea. We'll try something different: no boosts whatsoever!"

The two followed Solar and Ame.

Ame got an idea from their conversation.

"Oh, so you're gonna just let us all be captured?" She growled intimidatingly at Kamikaze. "Do you want that?"

Solar twitched his ears, and suddenly laughed. It startled Ame, but she did nothing more. Since when did Solar laugh so easily...? Did she look funny doing that?

"Are you going crazy?" She asked Solar worriedly.

He didn't answer, and kept running.

"Of course not," said Kamikaze, but he was a bit annoyed. He shrugged and kept going.

"You know," said Yamikurou, wanting to start a different topic, "I really do like Absol. Long fur--"

"Shiftry too," Kamikaze interrupted.

"Shiftry too," he echoed, and continued talking. "Sharp blades are awesome."

"Razor Wind and strong gust combo for the wind!"

"I could carry all of you, but I'm rare, so... sorry for not being able to help," Masquerade said, turning fully human andwalking to a tree, on his toes like Mewtwo walks.

Tim almost staggered, but recovered, and was breathing heavily from running with Grok over his shoulder.

"What if one or more of us ... stayed human,... some others ... turned ... into pokémon, and those human .... gave 'orders' ... to the pokémon? You know,... like a trainer."
