• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Create a new thread or bump?

I'd like to make a new thread, but it seems such a thread already exists. This thread is old, however, and doesn't entirely cover the topic I want to cover. Should I remake the thread, or bump the old one?

The rules say that if a thread is "fairly old" (i.e. at least a month I believe) it's best to let it die. I'd say you're best off making a new thread.

It depends on how much you actually have to contribute to the current thread. As far as I know, the exact amount of time since the last post is fairly irrelevant.

it would be most productive to just bump it or make a new one and mention the old one rather than make this thread

If it isn't quite the same, it's better to create a new one. If it's exactly the same and you just have something new to contribute to it, you might as well bump it.
