.: Full Metal Cookies vs moon-panther :: Round Three :.
2vs2 Single
Style: Set
DQ: Standard week
Damage Cap: 30%
Banned Moves: OHKO's, Direct Healing
Arena: Enchanted Forest
Almost every Faerie Tale has a forest... An enchanted forest. The battle will take place in a clearing, surrounded by huge trees that are impossible to bypass. There's a small pond in the clearing's centre, providing a spot for water-bound Pokemon. The trees seem almost impervious to fire, and will not burn. Every three rounds, a pair of golden mightyena will appear from the trees, attack the battlers with one random attack, and flee.

.: Actions :.
Though still somewhat unsettled by the howl, Ming closes her eyes and remembers how Jin performed its last move. She, being a psychic-type herself, uses her understanding of mental energies to break down exactly how it used that move. She memorises it and opens her eyes again, and points at Jin with a hand. Extending her psychic powers, she wraps its body in her mental energy and simply alters its metal-like cells to prevent healing. This will last until it is returned to energy form, she knows, when it will be returned roughly to normal.
Jin, still muttering under its breath, stands back up and faces Ming with closed eyes. Multicoloured, glowing spheres pop into existence around it, dancing beautifully and reflecting off of Jin’s surface. Ming can’t help but watch them, awed by how beautiful they are, and stand stock-still as they form a beam and spin toward her. They then surround her. She giggles, reaching out to touch one. They seem to dance in her vision, making it hard to see anything else… but it doesn’t matter since they’re so pretty to watch, right?
Abruptly, a growl cuts through the battle, and automatically the trainers and Ming look for the source. Between the large branches of a tree, a gold-and-brown mightyena glares at the intruders. Effortlessly, it jumps down into the middle of the clearing, followed by another. They remain where they stand, however, and with a sigh the referee walks toward them to try to convince them to leave.
Meanwhile, Ming is still looking for the source of the growl; the lights seem to have turned everything blurry, the blurs around her all seem the same. She knows, vaguely, that she should be targeting Jin, but with it lying on the grass like that, it’s really difficult to find. She can’t even look for anything sticking up from the grass… she stumbles toward something that looks vaguely like a low shape on the ground, but trips over one of the rocks from Jin’s previous attack.
Jin mutters something again, but this time it’s followed by opening its eyes and blinking sleepily. It then stands back up, looking around. It spots a pair of oddly-coloured mightyena, but then it finds its opponent slowly picking herself up after lying face-down. It blinks again before its shadow rises up to cover it in darkness, and disappears from sight once more. As before, it strikes Ming from behind before reappearing behind her.
They then both hear loud snarls, and one mightyena rushes past the referee and toward the battlers. The other digs incredibly quickly, disappearing into a hole in the ground that wasn’t there before. The mightyena above ground leaps for Jin’s side, tossing it away from Ming and biting and clawing at Jin. Ming blinks, and turns around, having been quite sure that she heard something behind her. Weird, she thinks, before another mightyena hurtles out of the ground and crashes into her. The mightyena lands awkwardly on top of Ming, then scrambles to stand up with a paw on Ming’s head. It growls a warning while Jin’s new opponent does the same, but then they both back off. They stare at each other, nod, and suddenly ran back for the trees and disappear.
Both pokémon are quite winded by the attack, but it managed to temporarily knock Ming’s vision back to normal. At the very least, she can now see Jin almost perfectly. She calls out to Jin to attract its attention, and stares it straight in the eye. She sends out more psychic waves at it, and smirks when its eyes droop shut and it falls face-down onto the grass.
This time its murmurs are muffled by the grass, but it once again stands back up, eyes closed. As it continues to mutter, a strange purplish sphere appears in front of it, created purely from a strange, ethereal energy. The energy seems to struggle to escape from its ball-like shape, though it never manages to disperse entirely. The ball hurtles toward Ming, striking her in the stomach and causing her to double over. Jin then falls back down onto its face, still murmuring something nobody can quite catch.
