How do you recolour?

It's not very challenging and it doesn't take a whole lot of skill to do it. All you need is either a) people telling you what colors they want or b) realizing what colors don't look bad with another.

Well, let's say you've just made a scratched sprite, and you need to make a shiny version. You would need to recolor it then.
 
select the colours like in the eraser trick then click a button, because i'm cool like that

and the best bit is it nevers misses anything

Unless, of course, you don't cover the entire sprite.

But yeah, its really easy and shouldn't be called a spriting style, really...
 
Typically eraser trick, but sometimes I use a mix of both for more advanced sprites. I have GIMP, but I don't use it for spriting, only coloring drawings.
