Ever

wants to play mafia
Pronoun
ve/they/it
I walked the edge
I watched you fall
Away from the world
Away from it all

I looked below
I saw your wings
I watched you fly
I heard you sing

You called to me in every dream
Struck my shelter and pulled at my seams
I fought your cry each lonely night,
Resisted your will and put up a fight.

You want to fly, to soar, to flee
You want to move on
But I'm still finding me

The day I swore to myself I would be normal
I tried to fit myself into society's mold
And found it was much too small

It pinched at the corners
Squeezed on the sides
But I made myself fit

I had no choice
No remedy
No cure for me

And she told me
Helped me see
That my complications were what made me...me

I never stopped trying
Trying to be them
I try to this day
But I know it's in vain

My past has changed me

My future will shape me

And I will be me.

You do indeed write poetry stuff. And it is quite good! I especially like the last one. I identified really strongly with it. Please write more? :3

I really like you poetry stuff. And I agree with what Rose said abot the last one.

Thanks guys :3

TOMORROW

I thought I had found what I was looking for
Thought I had struck gold
But I hung on much too tight
And now my world is shattered

I should have known it wouldn't last
But I turned away and I wouldn't believe it
You presence is fading before me
Without you, I'm as good as gone

It never lasts, try as I might
But I've never gotten used to it
And every time,
It breaks my heart a little more

Your departure was the final blow
Who knows if I'll still be here tomorrow?

There will be no comfort as long as you stay
Just beyond my grasp
Tormenting me with your existing
And ravaging me with your words

Forever was the word I spoke
But now the light is fading fast
My every word to you is strained

You don't love me like you once did
And when have you said it?
In words, never.
In your new attitude towards me

I have nothing against your new friends
Only against myself

But the day I see my life reflected in the screen
Is the day I die

Who knows if I'll be walking tomorrow?

It's really, really good, Ever. The last one makes it very relatable, even if you have no experienced that feeling before. Please write more! :3

Almost everything I write, excluding RPs, is somehow related to me.

I've always been divided
First in two, then three
I know division
The constant pull of all my worlds

But never like this

I never expected this
Never anticipated seven worlds
Never even realized they were all my doing

But here I stand
At the crossroad to eternity
Shattered
And pieced back together countless times

One was my home
My first sanctuary

Two was my friends
My social life
And the cloak I wore
The shield of laughter and smiles
Ever undershadowed by the cold

Three was my second sanctuary
Of light and of smooth lines
Of aliases and false security

Four was myself
Behind my walls
An insecure girl watched the world
Removed from the words her body spoke

Five was my friend
Who helped me through the dark times

Six was the boy I adored

And seven

Seven is my final sanctuary
The place where no one enters
And I am safe

Seven is my dream

When the my six realities failed
I set off for my final destination
In the deep reaches of my mind
A paradise flourished

In my dreams,
Pangaea formed again
And I saw him for the first time
I loved him as I always told him

But until my last two worlds fade
I'll be here
Holding on
To my last wish

Well, that didn't really turn out how I expected. Took some unexpected turns, too. I may edit this later, I dunno.

Well, well. Ever's been writing a song! A love song, very complicated. I've kind of got a tune in mind, will post when I figure it out. I nkow it doesn't all make total sense, but songwriting is hard, okay. And so I guess I'll post this in Poetry because... a song...is like poetry? I dunno, I didn't feel like making a whole new thread. So anyway, here goes!

I dream of a world
Where there's nothing to holds us down
I dream of a life
When nothing keeps us on the ground

And I know when I see you
You'll know that it's me and I'll say

Once upon a time I was a girl you were a boy
Fighting 'gainst the world's team
Once upon a time we were separated by 2000 miles
But bound by a dream.

And I realize
My dreams are really naught but dreams
And I realize
Nothing in this world’s as it seems

But I keep breathing, breathing, breathing,
And we gotta keep dreaming, dreaming, dreaming.
You know I ain’t leaving, leaving, leaving,
But we gotta stay strong

And keep this love alive
Oh, keep it, keep it, keep it
Alive

These are awesome poems. The one about the seven worlds, the fourth one reminds me of the fourth wall. The fourth wall seperates TV from the reality, and you rarely can ever break it. I don't know if this was intentional or not, but you were refering to the fourth wall. XD!

Anyway, these are awesome poems Ever!

Your writing continues to amaze me. It's soooooooo gooooooood! I can't wait to see more.

I think what I like about your work is that although I would not be able to identify with the situations on my own, I can identify really strongly with a lot of the things you write.

(Btw there is what I think is an error in the one about worlds? "When the my six realities failed"?)

Finished the first song! It's really short, I know, but whatever. The end got a little less... poem-y and more song-y. And I has a new song. Tis much more poem-y that the first. I haven't really got a tune for this one yet, but we'll see, I s'pose.

One day I’ll fly far from this city
My feet will leave the ground and I’ll
Be free to soar to you
My life can be new

When the ground falls away
And my spirits are high
My soul can start fresh
And I will fly

When I turn a new page
Nothing will ever be the same
Because, starting now,
It’s a whole new age

I once believed I was just a girl
Never free to explore the world

But now I see

There’s nothing stopping me but my imagination
Nothing to keep me down
I am my own salvation
And I will not stay on the ground

I used to think the world was against me
But now it’s clear to me
My only obstacle is my cognition
I can finally see

Nothing’s gonna stop me now
I will fly
As far as I’ve a mind to
And no adversary
Will dare to intervene

I once thought the sky was the limit
But now I see I was wrong
The only limit is the one I create
I will stand strong

This melody
The words I sing
Take me to a time and place when I
Can be myself

So watch me spread my wings and fly from here
There’s nothing that will stop me when I
Truly free myself and take that
Leap of faith I need

And I’ll be free

SO, I wrote this song for my best friend, Lezlie, known here as cheesecakelover.

You have my shoulder when you need to cry
I'm here to wipe the tears from your eyes
If you need me

I'll be here to give advice
With sugar and spice and everything nice
When you call

Oh it's the least that I could do
For a friend like you
Oh yeah

You've always been so kind to me
Even when I'm moody
You know me better than I know myself

So I'm here for you
Too see you through
The rough spots in your like

We'll be friends forever more
When you come knocking at my door
It won't be locked
Walk in, make yourself at home
Here in my heart

Oh it's the least that I could do for a friend like you
Oh yeah

Another song, because I am ADDICTED to writing these things.

In silence we sat
You and I
I knew your name
You caught my eye

Did you feel the spark?
That shimmer of affection
I saw the start
Of something beautiful

We all have something we can't live without
We hall have something that makes us want to shout with fury

I know mine

You are my one and only
You make me smile
You give me peace of mind
If only for a while

But I hate myself
For letting myself get me
I just can't seem to put my feelings on the shelf

I need you to save me from me
And I need you to keep me breathing

Did you feel the spark?
That glimmer of affection
I saw the spark
Of something beautiful

These are really, really, good Ever. They aren't hard to understand. I can really tell what you're writing about.

^ Perks of having a girlfriend who writes songs!

MOAR LOVE SONGS!

A thousand ways to say good morning
A thousand ways to say bonjour
A thousand ways to say hello
But yours is the only one I want to hear

A thousand ways to give a hug
A thousand ways to kiss
A thousand ways to say a thousand words

And the ones I'm gonna say today are
Please don't leave me

A thousand ways to walk away
A thousand ways to leave
A thousand ways to tell someone goodbye

A thousand ways to shed a tear
A thousand ways to die inside
A thousand ways to break my heart
A thousand ways to cry

Please don't let it be today

I could tell you a thousand reasons to not to let me go
I could write a thousand songs for you

But you know
There are

A thousand ways to give a hug
A thousand ways to kiss
A thousand ways to say a thousand words

And the ones I'm gonna say today are
Please don't leave me

Woot, repetition is catchy!

Song I wrote after re-reading Flyer Fox and Stay Grounded. Somehow I end up singing this to Listen to Your Heart by Roxette.

Take to the sky, little bird
You need to be free
Take to the sky, my friend
Don't you worry 'bout me

You've let the problems of all those around you
Keep you down

Spread your wings, little bird
And rise from the ground
Spread your wings, my friend
And fly

You've let the world hold you down
For far too long

And I know you
Are a caring little soul
But now
It's time to truly let go

Take to the skies, little bird
And rise from the ground

Oh I'll be waiting here for you
There's just one thing for me to do
And when all of this is through
Don't you worry 'bout me

You've let the problems of all those around you
Keep you down for far too long

Take to the skies, little bird
And rise from the ground

These songs are addicting and seem to burst out of me :3

So, this song has a bit of backstory! See, I was going to try out for the volleyball team this year, but tryouts fell on the same day as rehersal, and I couldn't make it. BUT THEN! I realized something. I would never be great at volleyball, no matter how hard I tried. But the other things I did (singing, dance, flute, songwriting) came naturally to me. I realized that I knew what I was good at and I should word hard on those things instead of trying to be good at something I'm not even that passionate about! The stars and stripes refers to singing the Star Spangled Banner at a baseball game (which I have done TWICE with my school!) This song was originally supposed to be about singing AND dancing, but it kind of turned out to be more about singing. Whatever, I like this one a lot.

I'll never be the girl to make the winning shot
I'll never be the girl to serve the winning point
I'll never stand on the field with my arms held high
Unless it's for stars and stripes

I might not be the type to win a game
But give me the stage and I'll score all the same

I belong where music flows
Where people dance
And spotlights glow
Give me a mic and send me a cue
And I will sing a song for you

Music makes my world spin
These notes that turn me upside-down
Lift me from the ground

This melody
These words I sing
Keep my young heart beating

Music lifts me up
Fills my thoughts and dreams
Keeps this young girl hoping

I belong where music flows
Where people dance
And spotlights glow
Give me a mic and send me a cue
And I will sing a song for you

Music makes my world spin
These notes that turn me upside-down
Lift me from the ground

So today, I was biking, and my brother was complaining that I rode too slow, so I wrote this song!

This is for my parents when they don't approve
This is for my brother who's just so rude
I'm sorry

I'm sorry I'll never ride my bike as fast as you want me to
I'm sorry that there are some heights I just can't climb to

Sorry that I'm afraid of bees
Sorry that I can't climb tall trees
You're just gonna have to deal with me

I apogolize that I don't want to be a doctor
Apologies for not wanting to go to law school
