• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

What's the plot of Dreams of the Past? It sounds interesting, and I'd probably join if it was remade.

How I love Ctrl-V. :P

Pokemon, trained to be the best fighters of all and evolved so that they are truly terrors in battle. Those same Pokemon, held in specialized sleep-chambers to ensure that the next Champion would have the honour of having them as his team. Around them, the world collapses, as ambitious humans squabble. Some influential people want the world for themselves, and don't wish to share with restless trainers. The Pokemon League is forgotten, the Elite Four in disgrace, and no Champions come forth. Mechanical weapons are created, and destruction reigns as trainers and Pokemon are hunted down by those who'd rather live without a reminder that so much money goes into supporting trainers who give nothing in return. Until, at last, the turmoil ceases, leaving the regions relying on Pokemon for simpler tasks: rebuilding the gyms and cities that were in the conflict, hunting for food, and finding suitable places to expand settlements. A chance dig near Union Cave in the Johto region reveals a strange set of rooms. Curiosity is what drives the ones doing the dig to discover the sleeping Pokemon, but most of the world wouldn't be too thrilled to have them awakened.

And then stuff with legendaries was being considered, as well as throwing Lance in it (because Pokemon Special Lance is awes- *shot*).

It truly was one of the best RPs I've taken part in. There was this whole deal about how some pokemon, (namely my character) despise the humans and seek vengeance on them when they awaken. My character would later have a conflict of priorities when he finds out his life was saved by a human when he was younger. It was really epic.

What? Rift in the Dimensions is the best RP you've taken part in, disloyal scum.

Hrm. If Exo thinks it's that good, I might join. It sounds interesting, and I've been looking for a good Pokemon RP.

Hm. I'd want to prod Arylett into seeing if she can be our evil human of doom again. And I'd like to have at least two more positive votes. x_x

I feel uneasy about this because the last remake failed utterly. D: Hopefully it won't happen again...

Lady Skymin will smite all of you. D<

Well, since not all RPers view the Idea Center, you could probably get away with starting it now. Other people are bound to find out about it once you do. I once started an RP with only two other members from here approving of it, but then five more members joined (keep in mind the member limit for that particular RP was eight).

You really think it's good? XD I'm flattered, but surely there were better ones. I'll make it soon, methinks. Got chores to do beforehand.

XD I shall try, but I am only human. And a human with bad self esteem at that.

Still, it's up. I'll see if I can be more coherent when my internet isn't darting in and out every 40 minutes.

I'm going on a trip and then I'll be a bit busy starting Tuesday, but I might as well put this here now lest I forget.

How about something in the colonial age of the Americas? Except with Pokemon? We'd have colonists and natives. Within the colonists, there are two major issues, treatment of natives, and loyalty or independence.

The natives might be split into camps favoring trade, war, or assimilation.

There might even be two colonies, which may or may not have the same heritage in the Old World, which fight or band together in a struggle for independence.

Could go a lot of ways, I think. Any ideas to add?

Uh.. we need a completely ridiculous RP.

Where everyone has to be a Mary Sue/Gary Stu.

And everything must be cliched. :o

I don't know if I could morally do that as a writer. =O I mean, trying to make your character and the situation cliched and make them too lovable and all. I would vomit or constantly have to stop myself from changing my form/posts. xD

But it would fail so much it would wiiiiiin DDD:

And trying too hard to do something people do naturally is awesome. Thinkaboutitreally..?

It would be pretty interesting. Even though everything is cliched, it would be totally unique because no one EVER makes an RP where you're supposed to have Mary Sue/Gary Stu characters.

I personally doubt I could actively make a Mary Sue/Gary Stu. My (non-RPing at least) writing is too bleak, I'd screw up and take at least a few flaws.

Moreover, Dragon you are now evil for giving me a glint of hope that someone would respond to my idea but instead posting dreck. D=
