Xaldin immediately disregarded the newcomers.

"Yes, yes, yes. I pretty much figured that much. But, as you might know Buzzsaw, I am a mercenary. And I need to be paid. So how much are you offering...?"

Yes, he knew it was rude, but he needed the money to solve all of the Orphanage's problems. Most likely, he is rich. So he will have a large payout, that will definitely fixed up the Orphanage.

Scyther jumped towards the proclaimed mercenary. Were Buzzsaw not any faster, Scyther would have made it. While his blades had been stayed, his mouth couldn't be.
"Money?! If Former gets his suit there won't be anything left to spend it on! He'll kill you, and everyone you know, because he finds it *fun*".
"Scyther, that's enough. What is your asking price, I'm sure I can meet it. Now, does anyone else have conditions for their services? I don't want to stay up here all night."

Kay, now Masquerade, stood at the foot of the appointed meet place, staring up at the large structure. Cookie stood beside her, scanning the area for anyone who might notice them. She didn't spot anyone who looked like a threat, so she turned her gaze to match her trainer's.

"Let's get up there, we're already late." Masquerade hissed, pointing a hand towards the roof. The hand tensed up briefly, and a vine shot from the flower on her wrist, wrapping around a protruding part of the roof. Masquerade held out a hand to Cookie, who gripped it in her own.

As soon as the two clasped hands, the vine started to sink back into the flower, pulling them upwards with a good deal of speed. When they reached the top, the vine released, and Masquerade let go of Cookie's hand. She landed with a soft clacking sound on her feet, Cookie landing a split second after.

"Masquerade reporting for duty." She cooed. "What's the 'sitch?"

"Nope. I just want to adventure and the chance to keep this dust ball safe."

As well as get more idea's for my comic...but he doesn't need to know that I will be putting our adventure in ink and colour.

If he finds out, he may try to stop you.

And do what? Walk up to me out of his suit and and say 'Hey, I'm Buxxsaw. Stop writing stuff about me.'

Moon laughs a little from her inner joke, when the flash of green caught her eye. She stared at the vine that was wrapping around a anchor on the roof, dread boiling and bubbling in her gut.

Dear lord. that her...

With annoyed sigh, she waits for the flower-woman to reach the roof.

"...Hello. Masquerade."

He calmly eyed the two.

"They make such a strange pair, don't they Nighty?"

"Yes, I know that Former might level the city. And, no, I am not that selfish. I only choose to keep 10% of my 'paychecks'. The rest is none of your business. Anyway, my price is 100,000$. Just give it to me after the mission."

And with that, he left to go to the far corner and leaned against the wall.

"Hey." The shiny Swellow's voice caught Ciel off guard once again, and she grumbled something as Hunger landed in front of her. "There's a bunch of people, we better get going.." Ciel smirked up at the tower.

"This is the stupidest idea I've ever had," she sang quietly, and looked at the claws on her hands. Time to go climbing. Turning to the wall behind her, Ciel dug the claws in and pulled herself up, making quick work of the wall. As she found herself on top of the building, Hunger flew up beside her.

"You sure you want to do this? It's not the best idea ever.."

"I don't want to do it. But there's nothing else to do tonight, huh? We can't really go out, with Former rampaging.." With a grin, she spread the link-suit's wings and leapt off the building. The feathered constructs quickly caught the air, and with a thought, Ciel ascended towards the roof of the building, Hunger at her side. "You know, I love doing this," she called to the Swellow, and landed on the roof.

"I'm here," she muttered, folding her wings and stepping back to stand against the wall. Ah. Time to start taking notes about the people there. With a look at Hunger, who flew above the roof and looked down at the people, Ciel pulled her mask down a bit and nodded to the guy with the Scyther link-suit, who must be Buzzsaw. No one else could fit the name.

Sid turned to the 'Buzzsaw' person and listened to his question.

"Well, If you mean money, no, I'm fine. But, if we find any safes or something, I'd like to reserve the right to search them," said The Spectre. "I had some things stolen from me, and I'd like to get them back."

Jake was a little surprised that Kay hadn't asked him to come with her, and as it neared midnight, he began to get a little worried. He already had put his Flygon suit on, and was waiting for her to come back to speak with him, but she hadn't done so yet.

"Why isn't she back yet, Kali?" he asked his partner Flygon, who was sitting on the floor next to him.

"Maybe she didn't want to involve us... It's going to be dangerous, you know that."

"Yeah, but I thought we were a team? She might need me!" Jake sounded rather annoyed. "All right, that's it. She didn't say not to come. Let's just go and see what we can do to help, Kali!"

The Flygon sounded a bit unsure, but just nodded. "All right. Just know this isn't going to be like practice, or a small-time crook."

"Yeah, I know. But it's also our chance to prove our worth!"

With that, Jake stormed out of the door, and took flight. Kali followed, closing the door after her, flying after Jake. As they could soar through the nearly-empty sky, instead of having to traverse the always-busy streets, it wasn't long before they caught up with the rest of the costume heroes. And just as Kay was arriving on the roof, the Flygon pair began their descent and landing.

Markha noticed that this "Buzzsaw" guy was getting jumpy, and she backed away slightly, her hands in front of her. Fireclaw narrowed her eyes; there was nothing to be afraid of... she could take on a Scyther... but before the Kangaskhan could step forward, Markha held out her arm, blocking the Normal-type. "Anyway, I'm Dynamo," Markha said. "I don't really have any conditions, since I work late at night for pretty much nothing anyway..."

Fireclaw shrugged in the background, standing just behind Markha. She started shifting her feet, raring to go. If you knew Fireclaw, you knew that she was hot-headed and always ready for a fight. But Markha was good at controlling that.

The human shook her head. I'm Dynamo now, she said, about to remind them that she had just introduced herself. Hopefully, they had heard her, because she probably wouldn't be repeating what she had just said, just in case.

"I'll meet your price, Swordsman. Okay, listen up. The most important thing is to keep Former's suit from him. He's going to hit the Central Station with everything he's got. He's promised a huge cash reward to the person who brings him his suit". Buzzsaw looked quickly at the mercenary, with the kind of glance the pierces
"If you betray us, they won't be able to identify the body. Got it? I lost far too much the last time Former was loose, and I won't have that happen." Scyther nodded his agreement.
"Okay, everyone, we need to control as many of these criminals as we can and we need to get to the police station *now*. I wish we could have met under less stressful circumstances." Buzzsaw took off, Scyther close behind, they leapt from building to building, until, just a few blocks away from the station, a huge explosion caused two apartment complexes to burst into flames.
"Scyther"!
"I know"! They jumped into the building, using their super-human speed to leap from floor to floor. They would grab a small child here, a trapped man there, and carry them down to street level, for the ambulances to take care of them. As Buzzsaw made one last look through the building, he came across an unconsious man, in a purple link-suit.
"Probably a Koffing."
"Actually, Wheezing, but the suits are so unpredictable". Before he even had time to register he was being spoken to, another explosion, and Buzzsaw was knocked unconsious, and thrown from the building, falling through the air, from 20 stories up.

Ciel yelped as the building shook, and looking over the edge, saw that that Buzzsaw guy had fallen.. What will you do? Are you going to save him, or let him fall? It would be so easy to do either, and if you let him die he'd be one less superhero in your way.. Rolling her eyes, Ciel leapt off the building, going through the list of people that were there in her mind. She'd just have to know which ones she'd met before.. And angled herself down so she was below the guy. Her wings wouldn't be able to take both of their weights, and might even rip off if she suddenly unfolded them..

Oops. Should've thought it through.

"Well that was quick. A teleport should work...if that flying one can't catch him in time, yes Ming?"

"Yes...we should get to the ground and help the others."

Both white and green figures nod and disappear in a flash of light, reappearing in front of the exploded building. Both figures lift their hands and start to use psychic force to slow the fall of debris and aid in making sure they don't hit any of the innocents. They look up as Halan jumped from debris to falling debris until he landed next to them, his eyes flashing as he used his aura sense to see who else was in the building. He then mutters to Ming, who relays. Moon raises his voice to call over to the others.

"There are about seven people in this building. Those are the living ones left, Halan can't see the dead when they have no aura. Move out and save those people!"

Ming then focuses back on the falling mess and Buzzsaw, slowing their descent.

Come on flyer...catch him.

*Sigh*

"Come on Nightslice, lets go help him."

And with that he was about to use teleport, but he saw that someone else was one it. So instead he teleported in front the Weezing guy and both Xaldin, and Nightslice simultaneously used Night slash in front of him.

Taking a few precious seconds to think, Ciel slowly unfolded her wings and was carried upwards by the updraft. Biting her lip, she angled herself downwards and grabbed Buzzsaw, flapping her wings as hard as she could. Their combined weight brought them down in a less than graceful landing with Ciel on top of the guy, but at least they were both alive.

"Didn't know you cared," Hunger muttered, dropping out of the sky beside the two. Ciel stood up in a flash, and looked down at Buzzsaw.

"It's hard not to," she muttered. Right now would be a good time for them to run away, since there didn't seem to be anyone else watching or something. Well, saving that one life was a piece of work, on the way to redeeming herself. "Hey Hunger, you think I should change professions? And become a hero instead of a thief?"

"Pfft. What do you think? How would we survive?"

"Yeah, I know. Just saying." Smirking, Ciel folded her wings and sat a distance away from Buzzsaw. She'd be out of sight until he woke up, and would decide whether or not to show herself after. Hunger hopped after her, sitting behind her and starting to preen.

Buzzsaw awoke with a start, jumping to his feet, and his hands instantly changed into the Scyther-like blades. When he realized that he was no longer in immediate danger, he looked around.
"How... did I survive?"

(OOC: Just a heads up, I may not be able to make a post tommorow, and after the 7th, I could be so busy, that I won't have time to post. Keeping in mind the interest this RP has, if I become too busy to keep up, would anyone be interested in becoming the new Dungeon Master of the game?

Sid zipped down silently as a column collapsed, plummeting towards a rather large woman. He grabbed hold of the falling piece of hollow granite and turned it intangible. Rematerializing it a few feet away, The Spectre threw a Luxury Ball onto the ground. In a burst of diamond-studded black light, a Dodrio, all-black, appeared.

Sid pointed at the frightened woman, and two of Trecé's three heads nodded, scooping her up and galloping out of the battlefield.

Markha shifted her feet, nervous at Buzzsaw's stressed tone. They had to get to the police station, but Markha wasn't that fast... still, she followed Buzzsaw across the many rooftops in the best way that she could. Soon, she and Fireclaw were adjusted to this jummping, but she was alarmed when an explosion went off. She let out a small yelp, watching as Buzzsaw rushed into the building, frozen with fear. Suddenly, fire blew from another section of the building, and Markha's instincts told her to dive in, but for once, it was Fireclaw who held her back. "Buzzsaw's got it," the Kangaskhan whispered, before her eyes widened.

Markha's gaze followed Fireclaw's, and she saw that Buzzsaw and his Scyther were falling, unconscious, from high up in the building. Stepping back, Markha was ready to jump and try to save them, but somehow, they slowed. That was odd, Markha thought, relieved at least that they were safe. Now, where was the police station again? There were so many buildings in this section of Orchard city, which was strange to Markha, and she couldn't identify them from each other. She sighed with somewhat of a growl, looking back towards the others. Guilt stabbed her as she realized she hadn't done anything to help, so she decided for good. With Fireclaw watching after her, she leaped into the charred building, ready to fight off anyone who might be in there who was a criminal. Her head flicked from side to side, looking through the clearing smoke. Suddenly, there was a thud behind her, and Markha whirled around, flinching.

To her surprise, Fireclaw had followed her. "I can't leave you in here, without contributing some," the Kangaskhan said playfully, grinning. Immediately, Fireclaw took the lead with an arm forward, ready to punch anyone who ambushed them. There was a corridor ahead, and she headed through sideways, her eyes flicking from Markha to the hallway. They ducked down in case a fire was going on, but luckily, they got into the next room without encountering any flames. Immediately out of the hallway, there was a stairwell, down which they hustled, although at least taking care not to trip. They skipped a door by accident, but on the next floor, there was an unconscious man in a purple suit. "Weezing?" Fireclaw asked, her ears pointing towards the man.

Markha nodded, only half sure, and listened for anything else. But there didn't seem to be any other humans or Pokémon on this floor.

((OOC: IMPORTANT! I've been accepted to a program which will allow me to travels across Canada over the next 9 months. Unfortunatly, I can't expect to keep up with this RP. If anyone wants to take over, PLEASE send me a PM, before this Wendsday.))

Buzzsaw was quite sure that everyone in the building was safe, so he took off again. Racing to the police station, Buzzsaw wondered what had happened to everyone in the time he was unconcious, but he couldn't worry about that. When he arrived... it was a scene of chaos. Officers thrown everywhere, SWAT and even the Arcanine link-suit had been tossed aside.
"No."
Buzzsaw leapt into the building, rushing to the High Security Vault, where the door had been torn right off. Inside was a man in a Gallade-Link suit. His eyes glowing red, he had Former's suit.
"STOP". But this, of course, did nothing. The eyes glowed even more, and Buzzsaw was thrown against the wall by some unseen force. Just as he thought it was going to happen again, a green blur jumped into the room.
"Do not hurt my partner!"
Scyther had hit the man with a Fury Cutter. Again and again, Scyther struck, without mercy. But this foe was too much, and Scyther too was tossed aside.
The man in the Gallade Suit walked calmly out of the room, holding Former's suit. Buzzsaw tried to crawl after him.
"No...No". And for the second time that night, Buzzsaw fell unconcious.

As soon as Markha saw Buzzsaw exit through a window, she headed down the remaining stairs as fast as she could and raced after him. The police station wasn't far, but it was frightening how messy it was there. People everywhere... many officers unconscious... even someone in an Arcanine Link-Suit appeared to be defeated. Fireclaw's head flicked to the man in the Scyther Link-Suit, her eyes tracking him as he dashed into the building. Wanting to help, the Kangaskhan partners went inside and searched for anyone who was still unconscious -- and innocent. Fireclaw could feel a strange force from nearby, and her skin crawled with awareness that something was horribly wrong. Awkwardly, she followed Markha as they poked blindly through the darkness of the main room, their ears sharp for any cries for help. But all was silent... except a thud on a nearby wall. Alarmed, Markha gasped, trying to find a door. But Fireclaw wasn't sure; the presence was even stronger. "I don't recommend going in there," she said, and Markha turned to her questioningly.

"Why not?"

"There's something... odd... maybe we should stick to the other rooms for now."

Reluctantly, Markha nodded, although curiosity still pricked her about that strange force that she had felt indirectly behind that wall.

Xaldin quickly dispatched the Weezing-man. He then went after Buzzsaw. He had arrived just in time to see a man in a Gallade-Link Suit. He mind was suddenly assaulted by odd memories that he did not remember. He saw a kind man playing with a small child. Laughing and playing with him. Then it suddenly dawned on him. He was that child. He shook his head, and teleported in front of the Gallade-Link Suit man.

"I was paid to guard the suit with my life, and I will stop you!"

He charged, blades flashing. his opponent was very difficult to defeat. His mind went into overdrive. Slash, parry, dodge, block. But eventually, he was beaten, and his mask shattered, luckily blocking him from a slash at the face, revealing his face.
