Markha shifted her feet, nervous at Buzzsaw's stressed tone. They had to get to the police station, but Markha wasn't that fast... still, she followed Buzzsaw across the many rooftops in the best way that she could. Soon, she and Fireclaw were adjusted to this jummping, but she was alarmed when an explosion went off. She let out a small yelp, watching as Buzzsaw rushed into the building, frozen with fear. Suddenly, fire blew from another section of the building, and Markha's instincts told her to dive in, but for once, it was Fireclaw who held her back. "Buzzsaw's got it," the Kangaskhan whispered, before her eyes widened.
Markha's gaze followed Fireclaw's, and she saw that Buzzsaw and his Scyther were falling, unconscious, from high up in the building. Stepping back, Markha was ready to jump and try to save them, but somehow, they slowed. That was odd, Markha thought, relieved at least that they were safe. Now, where was the police station again? There were so many buildings in this section of Orchard city, which was strange to Markha, and she couldn't identify them from each other. She sighed with somewhat of a growl, looking back towards the others. Guilt stabbed her as she realized she hadn't done anything to help, so she decided for good. With Fireclaw watching after her, she leaped into the charred building, ready to fight off anyone who might be in there who was a criminal. Her head flicked from side to side, looking through the clearing smoke. Suddenly, there was a thud behind her, and Markha whirled around, flinching.
To her surprise, Fireclaw had followed her. "I can't leave you in here, without contributing some," the Kangaskhan said playfully, grinning. Immediately, Fireclaw took the lead with an arm forward, ready to punch anyone who ambushed them. There was a corridor ahead, and she headed through sideways, her eyes flicking from Markha to the hallway. They ducked down in case a fire was going on, but luckily, they got into the next room without encountering any flames. Immediately out of the hallway, there was a stairwell, down which they hustled, although at least taking care not to trip. They skipped a door by accident, but on the next floor, there was an unconscious man in a purple suit. "Weezing?" Fireclaw asked, her ears pointing towards the man.
Markha nodded, only half sure, and listened for anything else. But there didn't seem to be any other humans or Pokémon on this floor.
