Scientists all over the world study the amazing creatures known as 'Pokemon'. They have abilities that, at times, seem to defy all the known laws of our world. Some keep them as pets, others raise Pokemon to battle, in attempts to become Pokemon Masters, travelling far and wide across the globe. There are countless ways that Pokemon influence humanity. We don't know everything about them yet. That is why people like me, and other professors of the world, study Pokemon, and work beside them, to learn more about them, and ourselves. In the course of this research, we have come up with countless inventions, the creation of the Pokeball, the technology that allows us to store Pokemon, and items, as data, in computers. But this latest breakthrough, made by my team, and myself, should help humans understand Pokemon in ways never before possible.

For the longest time, humans have tried to understand Pokemon. The languages of each individual species have been recorded. But the invention of the Pokemon Link-Suits may lead us to one of the largest and most sudden breakthroughs in understanding these amazing creatures. The principles behind the suit are very complex, so I will explain them in the simplest terms. The suit, in its most basic form, resembles a grey rubber ball, just slightly larger than any Pokeball. When that ball is brought into contact with a Pokemon, it copies the DNA of the Pokemon, and forms a mental link with it, then shapes itself into something that can be worn by humans. It usually resembles the Pokemon it has formed a link with, though I have seen sudden mutations in the suits. When the suit is worn by a human, the person is then linked to the Pokemon by the suit. They can understand each other almost perfectly. This allows us to understand Pokemon in a way that has never before been possible. But, that is not the masterpiece of my suits. The suit then allows the human wearing it access to the same abilities as the Pokemon! Think of the advances that can be made, when a human as access to the mental powers of an Alakazam? Or how much safer construction work could be done, if a human had the same strength as Machamp?

It has its limits, of course. Each suit can only bond to one Pokemon, and one person, and they have a sort of 'lock', which prevents a Pokemon or human from linking with another suit. And we haven't studied everything. We don't entirely know what happens if a person is wearing their suit, while the Pokemon evolves. In our lab, the suit simply went through an 'upgrade' and become more like the evolved state of the Pokemon. Though, I have heard stories about my suits being unable to take the strain of evolving, and would then turn into little more than grey goop.

The Link-suits are the next step in Human-Pokemon relationships. I have even heard stories of trainers who use my suits, battling against each other, alongside their Pokemon. Even more curious, is the stories of people who are using my suits to battle crime, costumed crusaders, with the powers of Pokemon. It's almost enough to make one laugh. Almost. If you didn't realize one simple fact If people will use these suits to fight crime, just as many, if not more, people will use them to commit crimes.

Still, I maintain that my invention is likely one of the greatest advancements that the world has seen this century. I hope that the human inclination towards violence won’t waste what should be a revolution in our understanding of the beings that walk this world alongside us.

The purpose of this roleplay is to assemble a team, powered by the Link-suits, with the intent of battling crime in Orchard City. This is not a restriction on the nature of your character. It is not required, and would be pretty boring, if everyone was the penultimate ‘good guy’. They may in fact, simply want to control the underworld themselves, and this team is the best way to eliminate the competition. They could be out for revenge, or any other possibility that you can imagine. But there are certain rules that must be obliged:

No God-Mode, people. No controlling other characters and your character must have some form of weakness, and not be omnipotent.

No Legendary Pokemon. Those are for the bad-guys, I’m afraid.

Your powers must come from the Link-suit, though you CAN have abilities not given to you by the suit, but these must be things that humans can actually possess. Typical things superheroes have access to include: great wealth, specialized combat training, and the ability to look good in spandex.

Keep the language, and actions of your character within reason. Language may be acceptable in certain situations, but if you’re dropping F-bombs every 3 seconds, you will be dismissed from the Roleplay. Also, immoral and illegal acts are 'allowed' but please keep it appropriate. Use your best judgement, PLEASE.

You may not kill any other player characters.

You MUST have at least one human player character. The maximum number of Pokemon play characters is 6 per player.

Try to write a good amount in each post, and try to check over your spelling and grammar. I’m no grammar Nazi, but if you’re typing ‘u’ instead of ‘you’, it really doesn’t look good.

No references to the real world. By that, I mean, your character may enjoy the video game systems, but by mentioning specific games, it tends to ruin the games world. Same basic rules apply to novels, manga, and television. Your character can love ‘Action shows’ but cannot specifically love ‘24’. Understood?

Okay, onto the applications. I’ll take four of them, see how that works, and try to add more as time goes on. The following information is required, be as creative as possible. My information is also included

Name of Character(This can be their Alter-ego’s name, or their Secret Identity)

‘Buzzcut’, Also known as The Green Ghost, The Cutting Crusader, and the Insect Investigator.

Real name: Rune Owen

Biography of Human Character:

Rune was a detective like any other, before the Link-Suit. He put away some of the biggest gangsters in Orchard City, and was respected in both legitimate, and criminal circles, for his ability to track down anyone, no matter where they hid. With his Scyther, Rune was always able to keep a certain level of control over the growing number of criminal organizations. Team Rocket, Team Galactic, and the countless smaller gangs all knew that when he was on the case, it wasn’t long until the gig was up. After the Link-suits made it onto the black market, some of the smaller gangs used them to break out the big-wigs he had locked away. So he decided to fight them with their own weapon. He used his contacts to obtain one of the suits, and by forming a link with Scyther, he began to fight crime, no longer a mere investigator, he uses his vigilante alter-ego to put away the criminals too powerful to do so legally. As ‘Buzzcut’, Rune strikes a new kind of fear into criminals, who know now, that even the law cannot protect them.

Physical/Emotional description of Human Character, including their costume(This may also be a picture with a small write-up, if you want):
Rune wears many layers of clothing in his professional clothes. A stained navy blue shirt and a dark red vest, worn under a brown leather jacket that goes down beyond his knees. Brown pants, rather tight, to prevent tripping, his entire outfit is meant to hide the bullet proof vest he always wears under his clothes. He has a face that could best be discribed as 'Kind'. The sort of face you would look for in a war-zone,if you were seeking help. You can trust this face. However, it is also worn, and you can see the strain of the countless terrible deeds he has seen performed. Short brown hair, bags under his eyes, and a constant 5 o'clock shadow make him look older than he actually is.

'Buzzcut's' costume his very highly based off the Scyther that formed it. Multiple green plates act as protection against bullets, wings allowing for limited gliding. It makes Buzzsaw look like a very muscular upright Scyther. The costume can switch between the famous blades of Scyther, and regular hands. Buzzcut can use several abilities known by Scyther, including: Cut, Quick Attack, and Double Team.

Pokemon (At least one is required, the Pokemon you have formed your link with) & Bio’s for the Pokemon:

Scyther, Male. Scyther has worked with Rune for 10 years, bringing down criminals. Scyther always favoured the violent approach, so acting with Buzzsaw has been more along the lines he's always wanted. Scyther feels that those who commit crimes nothing less than deadly force, even for the most minor offenses, and without Rune to control these urges, Scyther would quickly lower the number of criminals in the city, however he would also add himself to the most wanted list. Scyther suffers from a bullet wound to his right arm, and so relies on his speed even more than others of his species, to make up for the lost strength.

Okay, I'll allow the reserves, unless I get some truely amazing submissions in the meantime. So be quick with those submission folks.

Name of Character: The Wandering Swordsman, Swords of Swords, The Wild Katana, Tactful Leader, Black Swordsman, and Blade Master.

Real Name: Xaldin Coreen

Bio: As you can tell from the alias, he is wanderer. his only companion is his Black-coloured Gallade. He was raised on the streets as a orphan. with only a sort of X-shaped pendent that his father supposedly left for him before he died. Also, he left for him the child of his partner, a slightly bigger sized Gallade. Apparently, he also left him twin blades, which he now uses. The scabbards are black and white. At the age of 14 he learned to use them from a family friend, although, he refused to take up on the offer to live with him. When he was 17, he became a wandering merc, the only thing that as keep him alive...
He has black, messy hair, and a usually a straight, hardy face. He is about 18, and when the time demands it, he can effectively use a small strike force to take down the target. He usually takes to himself and stands alone, save, for his Scyther. Also he needs the money, to fund a dying orphanage in Orchard City, so he has to stay, and goes as far a 2 miles away from the city. So, he does anything to get money. Even if I means killing his in inital employer. He personally has has now love for the crime in the city, and he will only take down criminals if he was hired to do so, or they steal from him, or the Orphanage.
When he saved enough money to by a Link-Suit, he instantly linked up to Nightslice, without a single thought. Now know as the Wandering Swordsman, he has the (roughly) body of a Gallade, but does not have the elbow blades. He knows various cutting attacks, has limited Psychic abilities and evasive maneuvers due to being linked up to his Gallade, Nightslice. Also, in combat, he likes to use speed, and agility to confuse his opponents, then goes in for the kill. As the Black Swordsman(another alias) He wears a mask (Similar to V for Vendetta), and wears a pitch black cloak to hide his true identity since he has made enemies over the year.

Pokémon:Nightslice;Male
Nightslice was born into the hands of Xaldin and had lived with him ever since. Like his partner, he favors evasive tactics over head-on attacks. Usually, on assassination missions, they can easily sneak past guards and whatnot, without a single clue. He tends to be like his partner, And only hatched when his partner was only 14. He also has a scar over his eye (but he can still see through it) he got from protecting his partner.

Also, in Pokéballs, he has a Weavile(Darkace M), Umbreon(Tenebrae M), Scyther(Zander M), Lucario(Aura F) and a Charizard (Flarestorm M)

Perhaps a bit more direction for the character Xaldin, why he would stay in Orchard, and what sort of opinions he has on the crimes in the city. Sorry to force that, but it's sort of important from a plot standpoint.

Wait! I changed my mind... can I switch Pokemon to Gallade? And can you have other pokemon in normal pokeballs?

Name of Character: The Spectre, Shadey

Real name: Sidious 'Sid' Grimes

Biography of Human Character:

Sid is generally appears to be the stereotypic irresponsible rich boy, mooching off of his parents and doing who-knows-what-else. The 'what-else' in question is, in fact, crime-fighting. He has always had a (un)healthy obsession with inventing and tinkering, creating little hunks of metal and plastic of a purpose only he knows.

After a bank robbery led to the theft and probable destruction of the blueprints and prototypes of much of his early work, Sid was angered. He would have called the police, but he knew what would of happened. "We'll see what we can do"'s to his face and "Why doesn't the brat buy new stuff, we all know he's rich enough"'s behind his back. So, using his considerable resources and equally considerable cunning, he finally got his hands on a Link-Suit and used it on his childhood Pokémon, now a Dusknoir, and set out to find his stolen property. He still hasn't found his missing inventions, but, along the way, he picked up crimefighting. Stopping a mugging here, a little arson-preventing there, and soon Sid was a full-fledged vigilante.

Physical/Emotional description of Human Character, including their costume:

Sid is slender and pale, but not overly so. He's not too tall or too short, and he generally fades into the background of a group if you aren't looking for him. He has dark brown hair and blue eyes that he's quite proud of. He's nearsighted and so wears rather thick glasses with gold frames. Sid has a rather elfish face, an upturned nose and eyes along with a thin mouth and nose. His hair is short and unstyled. He's young-looking and always seems to look a bit in over his head.

'Shadey's' suit is dark grey, almost black, with a lighter gray, thick vest. He has two rather large, elbow-high gauntlets, really that are able to phase through objects other than lead and a few other, less-common metals. The gloves also are able to shoot energy spheres, similar to Shadow Balls. He wears a mirrored visor over his face, and said visor has a visible, pupil-like yellow reticle. He has a gray, fedora-like hat that covers his hair. Sid's costume also had a light gray collar. He has boots that allow him to hover a few feet off of the ground. Sid has a series of puches running down his legs, filled with assorted gadgets and similar items, including, of course, Pokéballs.

Pokemon (At least one is required, the Pokemon you have formed your link with) & Bio’s for the Pokemon:

Dusknoir, Male, 'Spook'. Given to Sid when he was a Duskull, Spook has a working knowledge of how all of Sid's inventions work. Spook is lighthearted but critical, and very protective of his Sid. The Ghost-type tagged along on Sid's first foray into vigilantism, and ever since has not allowed Sid to go out on his own.

Dodrio, Female, Trecé. An all-black Dodrio of exceptional speed. Bickers often with herself.

Mime Jr., Male, Teeter. Youngest member of the team.

Name of Character: "Masquerade"
Real name: Kay Baker

Biography of Human Character:

Kay's family was poor, so she vowed to work hard and get a good job to help them. She managed to get into an excellent university, and studied hard to become a Prosecuting Attorney. She rose to the top of the business, and is well-known to criminals and the people alike.

But she wasn't satisfied. She became sick of seeing criminals get away with their crimes, so she decided to... deal with them herself. She managed to get her hands on a Link-Suit, and used it on her Roserade, Cookie. She took to the life of a vigilante crime-fighter well, taking down violent criminals while still keeping her identity secret.

Physical/Emotional description of Human Character, including their costume:

Kay is usually fairly quiet, but will take charge of a situation without a word if she feels those around her are to incompetent to deal with it. She will speak if she believes what she has to say is important enough, and is very to-the-point about it, and extremely blunt. She has a tendency to use more complicated words, and to speak down to others. She has a take-no-prisoners outlook, and would prefer to severely cripple or kill offenders than put them in jail, to make sure they don't do it again. She is actually fairly graceful in combat, preforming dance-like maneuvers to avoid attacks and to launch her own.

Kay is a very slight person, weighing under 100 pounds and standing 5'5". She has mousy brown hair that falls to mid-back and large grey eyes, and a thin, delicate face. She wears large glasses and usually has her hair up in a bun. She seems very nonthreatening, but looks can be deceiving; she can launch a damaging kick with her strong legs, and is a stilled combat dancer. Her hands and arms are very thin, and her body is fairly curvy, with a very female figure. She typically dresses in business sort of clothes, white blouses, that sort of thing.

In costume, however, she looks much different. She has a pale green mask over her eyes, like a Roserade's, and her hair is let down, part of it swirled up to resemble the rose on a Roserade's head. She has a yellow choker. She wears long pale green gloves that start at her mid-upper arm, and have roses sprouting from the wrists. She wears boots, the same green as the glove and mask, that start mid-thigh, which have yellow toes. She has a long dark-green cape that falls to her ankles, which is connected to the choker. The only covering her torso has in a green strip of cloth that resembles a leaf that starts at her tailbone and ends just between her breasts, and another that starts at one breast, wraps around her back, and ends on the other. She can extend thorny whips from the roses.

Pokemon & Bio’s for the Pokemon:
[Cookie] Roserade (Female)
Cookie has been with Kay her entire life. She is the child of Kay's mother's Roserade and was given to her as a 5th birthday present. She stuck by Kay's side though good times and bad, and would defend her with her own life.

Other Pokemon:
[Kate] Glameow (F)
[Edward] Persian (M)
[Gyration] Hitmontop (M)
[Kaine] Lopunny (M)
[Madame] Jynx (F)

Would anyone like my character as a sidekick? I'm planning to have a young orphan boy, with a Flygon partner. I gtg now though, so I'll get my form up later.
