Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Glaceon, of course! Seriously, these pieces of writing are crazy awesome.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

I request...a fossil Pokémon (like Omanyte, Armaldo, Cranidos, etc.). It doesn't matter which one, as long as it's a fossil.
I apologize if you already did this, but I never saw it...

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Sorry, Zapi. I completely missed that one.
Nightmare
My thoughts are blurry as I wake,
Thinking of dreams that I just had,
Nightmares I must soon forsake,
For they will probably drive me mad.

Dreams of losing footing,
Of falling into tar,
Of my friends shouting,
My name, 'Omastar'!

And a black enveloping darkness,
That swallowed me whole,
A strange, suffocating darkness,
That cut me, deep in my soul.

But past is the initial scare,
And I will soon forget,
There hasn't been a nightmare,
That I remember yet.

But wait...I cannot move,
Limbs heavy no matter what I do,
The sky above is only a roof,
Of sterile gray-the nightmare begins anew.

Strange creatures pry me from my jail,
Ones the like of which I have never seen,
Tall, lanky, with strange faces, looking frail,
Making strange sounds, I have no clue what they mean.

They look to me expectantly,
Minutes roll slowly by.
Until they grow bored of me,
And take away the sky.

Everything is stolen,
Enveloped in red,
My eyes grow shut, swollen,
And I am surely dead.

For this is not sleep,
Though it feels much the same,
For I am awake, see,
This state-it has no name.

Then, the darkness surges away,
And I can see the world again,
But to it I have naught to say,
All I see is a filthy animal pen.

Strange creatures look at me,
Clearly Pokémon, these,
Some I recognise-Pinser, see!
Others strange, though all are pleased.

"You are the first" they say.
"Tell us, what's it like there?
How is it different from today?
What Pokémon haunt the land and air?"

I don't know what they mean, at first,
But soon the truth comes out-
I have been taken from my time, cursed!
That's what this is all about.

I died, millions of years ago,
But I fell into pits of tar,
I was salvageable, though,
And I have traveled far.

Many of my kind have been found.
And we shall be released-
To rebuild our species in new ground.
There! Aren't I pleased?

But no, I'm not pleased,
Instead I am filled with dread.
Everyone I ever knew-
Friends and family, dead.

I wish they'd never brought me back,
I wish they'd left me in my home,
Because now I am doomed to spend,
The rest of my days alone.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Pikapika...
Aggression
And the blood riles in my veins,
Yeah, this is a fight I will win,
Electricity drives me insane,
Yeah, and I'll win this fight in thick or thin.

They'll all scream bloody murder
But I'll already have dug the grave,
Before they can take it further
We'll flee this place before they rave.

All your life he's been crushing,
Your spirit and I won't let him,
All my life he's been brushing
Me away. I won't forget him.

Long after I have struck the final blow,
I'll wonder if he figured out enough to know,
Will he even remember me as I strike him down,
Will he understand why I do it as he touches the ground?

He stands there, the brutal bastard,
And the plan is going to disaster.
Our blood is mixing from the fight.
He's exhausted, I'm alight,
With the fire of what I'll do tonight.

I ram my frame into his skull,
Like rocks ripping a ships's hull,
I wonder if he's sober enough to feel?
The damage done will take weeks to heal,

Should I do it? Should I kill him?
It always seemed kind of right,
But I don't want to be the villain,
To strike him down after the fight?

He's clearly not quite done yet,
I just can't let him recover,
So I hold and attack and...and...
Don't let go until it's over.

And they'll all scream bloody murder
I can't even dig the grave,
We'd better push on a bit further,
Who knows how far they'll chase?

And I know I had to do it,
But that doesn't exactly make it right,
I'll just have to get through it,
Save the whispered words for night.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Both of those were awesome! The Pikachu one especially. But I wondered, who was he trying to kill? His trainer, or another pokémon?

And I feel sorry for that Omastar now :'(

Umm...once you get around to it, try one about Snivy.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

When you have time, can you make one about celebi, if you haven't

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

If you don't mind, I would like one about Sawk. He's my absolute favorite.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Lifetime
We were the same,
In every way,
Life was a game,
We just seized the day.

Totally alone,
But for each other,
Always home,
With one another.

And I screamed,
As he captured you,
Never dreamed,
Didn't know what to~

So I threw myself down,
And offered myself to her,
That lifted her frown,
And the world became a blur.....

And the days they were long,
And the days were filled with joy,
Happy days of work and song,
Her Pokémon, her, and that boy...

One day, I battled a powerful Snover,
The battle I soundly one,
But the rock covered in moss and clover
Evolved me into a Glaceon.

And she was kind, and filled with Joy,
She was so proud, thrilled with me,
But that cold-hearted, brutal boy,
Convinced her to set me free.

'It's only right' she said,
But she already had an Ice Type on her team,
I'd rather be done and dead,
Then have you taken from me.

The days they were long,
The days they were empty,
I spent them totally alone
No Evee had come there but me.

I was suited to the cold,
But from comfort I refrained,
My heat had this hole,
So every day I trained.

Freedom was a prison that had taken me,
Away from you, and I couldn't stand.
I'd rather be a slave with you than to be free
On my own. So I slave with my hand,

And as the days grow longer,
And numbered 'till again I see you,
I'll make myself just a little bit stronger.
And then for you I'll come and rescue.

Because I will wait for a lifetime!
Work harder and harder until I can,
Yes, I will train for a lifetime!
Show them both just who I am.

And yes, the days are numbered,
The days until you will be free.
Until I walk, unencumbered,
And take you away with me.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Chains Of The Father
I am God, I created all.
Man, Pokémon, everything.
But restrained by a mere Pokéball.....
To kill him, I would give everything.

You came up to me with a sacred flute,
And attacked me with your mites,
You threw a 'Master Ball', took me as your loot,
Surprise, it seems, outstripped my might.

I am trapped in the very web of my own creation,
Regretting every human I made,
Why did I make this parasitic race an intelligent nation?
My fury shall never abade.

Here I am, a slave to the man I made,
Here I am, a slave to a fool,
He's gambled his life away, fame the trade,
Thinking he could use me like a tool?

I shall make him Immortal,
Command Raikou to permanently paralyze,
Send him to a personal hell,
Gaze every day at the pain in his eyes.

My Genesect shall slice him to ribbons,
My Palkia scatter him across dimensions,
My Dialga cause him to suffer through all time,
All day, everyday, without halt nor intervention.

As soon as he dies, and I am set free,
As soon as he slips and lets me escape,
And if he grows wise, tries to dispose of me,
The universe, all time, all the world I will rape.

Nothing will survive.
Everything would shatter,
No one alive,
No universe for it to matter.

You came up,
Chained me.
You gave up,
Refrained me.
You will pay,
I'll slay you.
You will die and die-
'till I'm bored of you.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Excellent! That's basically how I always thought Arceus would feel if he were caught by a trainer. I never understood the concept of keeping a god in a pokéball, lol.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Sorry guys, but until I've played Black/White/Twilight, I'm going to refrain from Generatio V Pokémon. All I could learn from them would be from Bulbapedia, and that just isn't enough.

I know I'm not exactly writing them with Superspeed, but I have other Projects on my mind as well, such as my upcoming Website, Cloyster Cave. I promise I'll get through them all, and then post the results on Cloyster Cave as a Poetrydex, with a Poem for every Pokémon. As soon as I make it, that is, right now it's just a concept.

I'd like to thank you all for being so supportive. All I've got is praise. :talking:

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Oh yeah, I think you said that before. Sorry, I forgot...do Sceptile then instead of Snivy.

And it's perfectly okay that you don't have all the time in the world! In fact, I think you've been writing these pretty fast, for such good poems. Idk, maybe I just procrastinate too much :P

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

your poems are wicked cool! if you havent heard, i'd like a celebi request.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Filled with Joy with a capital J? Strange. And it seems that another anime character has been incorporated: First Cheryl, now Paul.

I would like to request Magcargo.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

Celebi action.

People say time is like a river,
Strong, in one direction,
The truth in this but a sliver,
I have learned, upon reflection.

That time is like a storm of thunder,
Full of swirling winds and lightning,
All fractionality tossed asunder,
By the winds of time-most frighting.

We all think our journey's straight,
One line, forever and always unchaining,
But when the winds rise or abate,
Our lives are constantly re-arranging.

It is like an unholy swamp-land,
Where our rivers merge and split,
Some dry out, and become still sand,
Where other's burst out of it.

The rivers flow fast and strong,
No matter how you fight the current,
You'll see it's been steering you all along,
That's the truth that I have learnt.

But there are anchors that exist,
The river's mouth, the storm's eye,
A great number, too many to list,
With much more power than I.

For though I can sail against the river,
For though I can fly against the wind,
My power in comparison is but a sliver,
To those who take very time and bend.

Who warp and shape the field,
Who always rewrite the rules,
That humans have searched-and failed!-
To find them, the bloody fools.

Most destinies avoid these beings at all cost,
Changing countless lives, altering the void,
But some are steered, without ever being lost,
Too them, so that not even they can avoid.

Powerful people, armed with knowledge,
Gained from an outside world of things,
Who amongst themselves pledge,
To capture these great beings.

They IV hunt and EV train,
So that these beings can't win,
Use info from a computer brain,
Surely that is a sin.

Not even I, with my ability,
To run, can escape.
For though, I truly tried to flee-
Capture was my fate.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

I second the Latias request from before. But if I could make a suggestion, refrain from making it too much like what one would expect if they'd watched the fifth movie. Explore her, not her and the other one.

Re: Inside The Minds Of Pokémon

These poems are amazing. I love them all, especially Celebi's and Arceus's
I'd like to request Dialga. :)
