Ponyville had seen better days, that was for sure. Everything was bright and happy the day before. Everypony was happy, everyone was alive...whole...complete. But not today, today was not a happy day nor was everypony alive and whole.

At the town's center, on top of the fountain statue, was the dead pony speared on the stone horn of Princess Celestia with a message written out before the fountain.
