Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.
Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.
Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?
I can't remember the term for this, but you know that thing where people try to brew up explanations to force things to fit into what they already have as a worldview when something comes along that doesn't fit? Or else dismiss them out of hand or whatever? I saw the episode as being about that kind of thing the whole way through. I didn't even think of it from a theism standpoint until I saw people being indignant about it. :P^ Here's why.
You have to be blind to not notice the pro-religion, anti-atheism overtones running throughout the episode. I'm not just saying this because I'm an atheist, as I still would think this way if I wasn't - I'm saying this because it seems to be rather harsh on atheism and obviously promoting religion. Also, for the core audience of this show, I don't think it's fair to them to bring in such blatant indoctrination.
