• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

R/B/Y Oddly Learnt Moves

BynineB

WII WOULD LIKE TO DIE.
Now, I was browsing through a couple of websites, and I noticed that there was a TM for Skull Bash in RBY ( a move I had not known to exist.) Looking at which Pokemon could learn it, I was startled to find that Staryu could be taught this move! Eager to confirm this, I tried it out on my Blue version. Lo and behold, a Staryu with Skull Bash!
Has anyone heard of other bizarre moves that a Pokemon probably shouldn't learn?

Persian learns Bubblebeam in R/B/Y. Then it learns Water Pulse in later generations.

Rampardos also learns Surf. Which is the same along the lines of Rhydon.

Meowth and Persian also learn Water Gun in R/B/Y, and I think I remember NidoranM/Nidorino/Nidoking (and probably their female counterparts) learning it too.

^ That reminds me, Gastly learns Ice/Fire/Thunder Punch through breeding...
