• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Pandemic

Time to act then, decided Kev. He had heard shouts from nearby and it appeared that whoever had caused the blood flow had either been innefective, narrow-focused, something else, or some combination of those factors. He didn't want to have to do this, but needs must, so...

He punched the chains where they reached the floor. His hand was battered, and ther was a little blood, but he had been right. He could get through the metal.

He did the same with the other chains. By now his hand were raw, and he had to rip up some of his old prison uniform from the corner of the room to bing them, but he was loose.

He moved over to the door.

Bring it on...

After the cages were all unlocked, Marissa slowly stepped out of her's. She stretched and brushed some of the dust off of her.
"So...what now...?" she asked the group.

"I heard a voice calling for help!" offered Oyasumi. "Should we look? The room's locked, and the alarms disarmed, so we have a few minutes to spare."

((Repost because my other one went bye-bye somehow!))

Mysti got back up. The scientist had left, so why not check in on the others? She went down the hallway, and tapped on the window to let them know she was here.

Emese poked her head out of the cages and sniffed.

"What do we do now..? We can't try to bust our way out, we'll be caught." She said, an arm still around herself.

She wobbled again, but didn't fall.

((social group~))

"But we can still attack." Miles said, "IF we get these plugs off."

He tugged on the cups on his cheeks. They didn't budge.

"I just heard tapping outside, I'll go check that out while someone else goes and finds the source of the screaming." Oyasumi said, walking into the outer lab.

As he reached the doorway, he saw Mysti peering into the window. He quickly unlocked the door, pulled her in, and closed the door quietly behind them.

He sighed as the lock clicked shut.
"What... were you doing? You almost blew our cover. And pay no mind to the corpses in the corner, they're part of the Feng Shui."

"I'll get wires off of people," Evelyn replied, grasping the burning wires on people who hadn't already taken them off, and tearing them off with brute force.
"Miss, uh... I'm sorry, what's your name? Well, there's not much we can do. Hopefully, we've reduced their numbers enough to have a chance. There's not much we can do anyway. We're becoming more and more dangerous in their eyes, right?" she muttered. Evelyn walked over to Emese and holding her up.
"Oyasumi, you didn't get caught like we did. Did you look around for an exit?" she asked.

Oyasumi walked back into the room, dragging Mysti behind.
"The one we made earlier is just a little ways around the corner. They hadn't sealed it off prior to my arrival, and I doubt they have had time."

He looked bothered.
"Still, have you found the source of that screaming?"

"Well, Sorry for wanting to come help!" said Mysti. She used her tail to fwack some wires off of some people.

"I feel sick. Sick sick sick." Emese mumbled to herself, leaning into Evelyn. The poor girl's face was all scrunched up like she was in pain, and she was very pale.

She bobbed her head back and forth slowly, like she was keeping her mind off of something.

"Good enough, then. The front exit it is," she murmured, almost to herself.
"Don't worry, miss. It'll be over soon," she told Emese, trying to sound soothing and like an older sibling or a mother. She looked ahead bitterly. Talk. It was all nothing but talk. Honestly, where would they find a doctor who could cure the virus or whatever Emese had? If the scientists issued notices offering rewards for their capture, who would aid them?

(Is Emese... pregnant?)

(
Unbeknownst to her, her unborn baby was also affected…

So yeah)

Miles rubbed his cheeks for a second before glancing over at Emese.

"Hey, girl, are you okay?" he asked, "You don't look well."

"I'll be ok. Don't fuss. Fussing make it hard to pretend there's no pain... Just forget..." Emese mumbled, standing up on her own.

"See? All better."

((yeah, she is. ^ ^; ))

Miles stared at the girl in confusion.

"Well, I'm here if you ever need help." Miles said.

He smirked a bit.

"Which it obviously looks like you do." he snickered.

Timothy shouted.

"Is my door unlocked yet? I wasn't paying attention." He slapped his tail against the bars again before loosing a Charge Beam.

Aria nodded at the one who had pulled her cables off, withstanding the pain. She then shocked herself to clear it. "Let's go. But where?"

Marissa thanked whoever took the wires off of her.
"We should get moving," she said. "Maybe we should split up? We need a plan or something..."

The Charge Beam had electrified the bars slightly (not doing much harm to Timothy, fortunately), but otherwise mostly broken through them and dissolved in the air. Timothy managed to crawl out of his cage and stood next to Marissa, looking around.

Kev looked over the door, and noted that it opened outwards. Not overly surprising when he could almost reach both walls at once with his arms outstreached, but helpful for him.

He kiked the door. Hard. It rattled, but didn't give, so he kicked it again, and once more, sending the smashed lock scattering on the floor as the door swung open on the hinges.

That was pathetic, he sneered, stepping out into the blood-soaked hallway, wouldn't have held a baby that door. Now where were those voices?
