• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed Pokemon: A Shadowy Past

Vendetta heard a bang behind him. One of the boxes containing expensive, delicate Shadow Transmitter parts must have toppled. He entered the office to investigate.

As I finsihed off the last grunt, I should have felt horrified by what I'd done.

I didn't.

Instead, I... I'd rarely felt so alive in my entire life.

I treasure moments like these, I thought, Here and now is where I can fufill what they had created me for... destruction, but the destruction of the ones who turned me into this amagalmation of human and pokemon.

I noticed someone was coming towards the room so I quickly ran to the opposite side of the room and hid behind a random object. What made me do that? That was completely against my will! I thought, now holding my breath again.

((Zora, Mia is talking just like Jolt. =P Or Mewtwo.))
"I'm... I'm fine. And I think I... saved... Blade..." Kou slowed down after reentering the room and realizing that the Blade she was holding was a decoy. "Oh Arceus, no..." she whispered. "We lost Blade! All I got was a decoy!" she yelled out.

((Really? Oh dear... xD))

"H-he'll be fine..." Mia muttered, "We need to go before more Midnights arrive. They know we're here now. I knew it was a bad idea to come here, that's why I live in that cave in the desert." She eyed a few dropped wallets of some Midnights. "They left money. A lot of it, by the looks of it. We can pick up supplies and head back there."

((Hard to get away from doing that, huh? =P))
Kou nodded. "I live in the desert too. But more like a nomad. I just came into town for supplies." She picked up a wallet. "So..." she said, "Are we united in destroying Midnight?"

((Probably is. :D))

"We are united." Mia affirmed. "I swear on my life that I will get revenge on them for doing this to me, to us." she picked up some of the money scattered about. "Grab as much as you can. We'll need it."

((Even Kou even has a bit of Jolt/Sand in her. Just not the slightly insane parts.))
"I'm not sure anyplace is open..." Kou said, "But we can't stay the night, they could find us." Kou paused for a moment. "Mia, you're lucky to have a time before being a Shadow Trainer to remember, even if it brings you pain."

"I suppose I am..." Mia sighed, staring at the ground. She didn't like to think about it - after all, her parents could've suffered the same fate as her, and that was a fate she thought worse than death.

"But now isn't the time to dwell on the past. If there isn't any place that's open, we'll go and pic up supplies from a different town in the morning. We shouldn't be caught around here more than is necessary."

"Right." Kou said, "And we'll save Blade and kill off Team Midnight. They're going to wish they never did this to us." Kou grabed her stuff and a wallet and headed out.

"Exactly. From now on, we are Team Antithesis." Mia declared as she followed her out, her pockets full of dropped money. She didn't really think it was a good name, but she had come up with it on the spot. "For now, at least." she was too distracted to notice that her hair was a barely noticeable darker shade of green.

((Her heart has started to reopen, if you couldn't tell.))

Vendetta entered the room. A box containing the delicate aerial of his Shadow Transmitter was on the floor. He ran and got his bass. He started strumming on it. Any Pokémon in the vicinity would be turned Shadow and forced to reveal themselves.

Alison bowed slightly to Vendetta again as he left them and turned to Wisp.
"I'll contact you when we make preparations. For how, I'd like to train some of my weaker Pokemon so we have a higher chance of victory next time," she stated commandingly. As she was about to leave, Alison looked back at the two.
"Oh, yeah... Would you know why Cirra is a shadow Altaria now? Just a few days ago, she was neither a shadow Pokemon, nor was she evolved. I think it was probably some prank or a token of appreciation from a higher up member, but do you know what happened?" she asked, not knowing that she had a doubtful and worried expression.
