Dragon is impatient, haaaah. Darksong, Cryptica, if you're still alive, try to finish your forms :<

So since we don't have anyone to be Abbot or Abbess(any one..?), we'll open at a time when Redwall's deciding on an Abbot/Abbess, or just doesn't have one for the hell of it.

I choose you, pre-made post!

It was a rather cold day, for the early summer. The sun was high above Mossflower, about noon, and there was a whistling sound coming from the trees to either side of the dirt path. It was getting annoying.

"Damn it," Frozen hissed. "That sound.. If I hear any longer, I'll rip someone's tail off." Storm clenched her teeth.

"It's annoying me too, but that's.. the tenth time you've said that. Kindly shut up." Frozen snorted, and stabbed at the sky with her staff.

"Why're we going to Redwall, anyways? Huh? Huh? I've heard it's a nice place and stuff, and has great food, but it doesn't seem like the kind of place you'd want to go for a while. Just after you traded that barrel of cordial for that useless scrap of parchment, that scroll," she glared at the otter; it was her favourite kind of cordial, "you suddenly had a burning desire to go to Redwall. Whyyyyyy?" Frozen groaned, drawing out the word.

"Well, you'll have to wait 'til we get there. I can tell it's the only way to keep you and some others focused on something for long enough, and it's nice that we have a destination, and a kind of goal for once." Storm explained. "Relax, it'll be fun, to take a break from trying to find our own food and living on dried rations. Hey look, up ahead!" She pointed, and grinned at Frozen. "It took us a while, but there's Redwall. Hey," she called to the others behind her. "Up ahead, there's Redwall! Look sharp, we don't want to have to perform for our food," Storm joked.

A minute later the group, and two wagons had pulled up to the main gate.

"Well, let's hope we don't get stuff thrown at us," Storm said with a grin, and knocked loudly on the gate. "Helloooo, anyone there? Group of travellers at the gate!"
((Cue anyone in the Abbey to come open the door, or you all to talk among yourselves, and ignore us~))

The clang of metal-soled boots against the hard dirt road filled the air, as a large, somewhat menacing figure stepped out of the second wagon. A very tall, somewhat broad ferret, adorned with an armored chestplate, stood up beside the wagon and looked ahead toward the gates, his double-bladed battle axe held vertically like a cane, the blades close to the ground. It had been a while since he had come to Redwall, and Sablepaw took a little time to remember the scene of the gates. After taking a deep breath, he grunted and turned to the pair that had stepped out of the first wagon. "Well, this had better be worth my time, or I'll expect compensation in gold," he spoke up to Storm, in a low, gruff voice, crossing his arms while keeping one hand on the end of the handle of his axe. He turned his head back to the gates and waited for them to open.

"Sablepaw." Storm acknowledged the big ferret with a nod. "I hope what I have will interest you, but I can't say for sure." She realized she was standing outside the gates of Redwall with a big, armed ferret, and with a fox somewhere in the wagons, she couldn't remember which one. Frozen nodded to Storm, thinking along the same lines.

"Hey, Sablepaw," she started. "Maybe you could put your axe.. in the wagons, or not carry it around like that.." She turned to Storm. "I think if they don't remember us, even vaguely, we might leave with a few arrows or swords sticking out of our sides."

A tiny sinkhole appeared to form just inside the gates of the Abbey. However, instead of causing mass damage it turned into a short mound, and a head with smooth, black fur and a bare snout came up from the tunnel, followed by a pair of long claws. Ashclaw turned to the others. "G'day, zurr, ur ever how miny of yum ur there." He quickly disappeared back into the tunnel he had dug, avoiding the sky's beaming light, whether it was present or not.

"Well, seems we are to be stuck outside until someone answers our humble knock on the door. What a shame to be kept waiting, but it does bring more meaning to the goal at hand."

A sleek black raven lands in the trees, looking down at her fellow travellers. She glances at the wagon that housed her friend Kate and wondered if she was asleep at this time of day. She ruffles her feathers and glances at the large gate that protected the abbey's residents from armies and predators like herself. She wouldn't eat the small mice, that's not part of her plan...but she could scare a few into fetching her some water for her parched throat.

Her head then snaps up as a familiar wave flows over her. She smiles as she senses the presence of her bother close by.

"...Where are you..."

---

A wise owl lifts his head and looks down from the roof of the abbey, observing the group outside. He spreads his snow-white wings and glides to the wall of the abbey next to the gateway.

"May I ask why you've come here? If it's for a place to stay, you'll have to surrender your weapons, as is the law of this peaceful abbey."

Storm looked up at the owl. "No, we're not here to stay, but we'd like to speak with your Abbott or Abbess. We'll put down our weapons, though," she looked especially close at Frozen. "But really, don't try anything," she whispered.

An especially light-colored badger was lumbering out of Redwall Abbey to collect herbs, her nose up, and was about to open the gate when the ground softened under her. Startled, she flinched back and gave a shout as a friendly-looking mole appeared out of the ground. "G'day, zurr, ur ever how miny of yum ur there."

Before he promptly disappeared back into the ground, Snowstripe gave a small greeting. "Good day, Ashclaw." The badger continued out of the abbey, repeatedly scenting the air as she entered the forest. A main goal was poppy seeds, but she also needed some juniper berries, and honey if she was lucky...

"Good day, Ashclaw."

The dusky black mole heard this voice. Rather soft, but also friendly and... daggerish. He surfaced again, this time in front of Snowstripe.

"Glad to be greeted by yur, misuss"

If moles could blush, he would be smoldering pink. For one thing, Snowstripe had left, and he was talking to air. For a second thing...

"Zurry 'bout the holes there..." Ashclaw told himself. "I'll tuck care uv 'em." He dived back into the soil, leaving no evidence of the hole except for a tiny patch of soil.

The owl turns his head as he studies the travellers, judging if they are friendly or not. One of his talons scratched at the stone wall before he made a decidtion.

"I'll open the gate. The one that runs this place should be in the building it's self."

He then hops off the wall and behind the gate, grabbing the beam that closed the gate with his clawed foot and lifts it from it's holder. He then grabs the handle with his beak and opens the gate with a old creak.

"There we are. You may enter if you please."

------

The raven watched the ordeal of the "Gatekeeper" and the one that ran this band of travellers. She stares at the Owl in wonder, trying to figure out if it was aillusion or not.

He looks like my brother...but why would he be here in a abbey of mice?

She slips off of her branch and lands on one of the waggons, the one that held her fox friend.

"Awake. We are here."

Storm nodded to the owl, dipping her head slightly. "Thank you. It's been a while since I've seen Redwall.. everyone I know.." she trailed off. "I think I know the way, but maybe you should accompany us." She motioned with her arm, and the wagons began to move through the gates. Storm looked up at Ming, looking at her carefully.

"And Ming, please don't eat anyone, we're here peacefuly."

Ming puffs out her chest and looks down at Storm, a insulted look in her eye.

"I wouldn't eat these mice. I do have self-control after all."

She settles down at the waggon moved, ducking her head as to not bump it on the gate. Her eyes glance back up at the owl, the feeling of him being familiar raising within her. But before she could comment on it, the Owl spoke.

"Ming...It has been a long time, my Sister. Welcome to Redwall."

Her eyes widen.

"...It is you Kammu...."

"Just saying," Storm said with a grin. Frozen whipped her with her tail.

"Shut up. Being obvious is my job." She paused, looking at Ming and the owl, apparently Kammu. "Brother..? Wait, how's that possible, an owl and raven being siblings-" Storm whipped her with her rudder before she could be heard, causing Frozen to stumble.

"Shut up, asking logical questions is my job. Maybe one's adopted."

Kammu looks down at the feuding twosome, tilting his head even more.

"Aye. I'm the adopted one in a family of Ravens. I am Kammu, often called the Ghost of the Dawn for my...odd appearance and attraction to the day."

Ming turns her head and chuckles, ruffling her feathers a bit.

"He's an odd ball at most. But he is extremely wise...but he's an owl so it makes sense."

She then turns and looks back at her brother, tilting her head as well.

"But why are you here? Wouldn't you rather eat the mice rather than live with them?"

Kammu lets out a soft chuckle, moving out of the way of the waggons as they pasted. He glances at the stone building of the Abbey and softens a bit at the sight.

"I'm here because I feel I must. Something is to happen, and it will happen here..."

Ming rolls her eyes, a bored look on her face.

"You're doing that fore-seeing thing again. Stop it, it's rude to destiny and fate."

A soft squawk could be heard as a raven-coloured bird half-flew, half-stumbled out of a tree. "Huh. So dis be ze location. Bloddy liars. Seems quite alright." Pecking at her plumage, more out of comfort then grooming purposes, she hobbled over to the gate. "Hullo? Anyone there?"
Silent.
"Huh...I'll leave my weapon..see?" With that, she hacked a little until a small, schipped spearhead came out of the bird's beak.

((Hey hey notice the group of travellers at the gate with the wagons DDD:))

Storm looked up at the two again. "Maybe you could get everyone here, instead? I don't want to seem to be in such a big hurry, but the sooner the better." She turned to Frozen. "And you, my useless friend, why don't you go wake up the others, or bring them out here or something?" Frozen gave Storm a mock bow, and climbed into the first wagon.

"Hey, hey, the big otter wants you all up, she says she wants everyone gathered around. We're at Redwall, already." Before anyone could twitch, she was gone to the second wagon, repeating her message.

Sablepaw grumbled, "Fine... whatever." He lifted up his large battleaxe and placed it back into the caravan. He really didn't look too happy to be leaving it behind, but at least all was not lost. The Ferret still felt confident that he could defend himself if attacked. He stepped up to the gates and walked in beside the wagons, glancing at the Raven. "Well, Ming was it? I'd gladly share the mice if things turn sour." He gave a short chuckle before returning to silence, looking around at the abbey. It's been such a long time since I was last here... brings back memories...

Ming smiled at the Ferret, Sablepaw if she recalled correctly, and glides off the top of the wagon. She lands on the grass into the Abbey's walls and looks around a bit.

"Indeed. I do hopw you would share if there was any truobles. But I doubt these mice will give us much trouble."

Kammu watches them and shakes his head, knowing that his sister was only joking but wasn't sure about the Ferret. He spreads his wings and flies to the large building of the abbey, landing next to a window that serves at the Abbott window. He knocks on the wall and lowers his voice.

"Abbott of Redwall. We have visitors. They will be awaiting your presence."

A old mouse walks to the window and looks down at the travlers, noting that they have discarded their weapons. He turns and nods toward Kammu, a soft smile on his muzzle.

"Thank you...please. Allow them into the building. I'll be waiting for them in the great hall."

Kammu nods and takes flight, landing next to the doorway of the Abbey. He lets out a loud hoot to get the traveller's attentions.

"Enter through this door. The Abbott will address you there."

(hope you don't mind that I did that...)

With a yawn, the fennic fox poked her head out of the wagon.

"Oog. What did I miss?" She said, slipping out and landing with a soft thud on her paws.

She flicked her tail behind her a bit then picked it up, brushing dust from the tip. The tips of a pair of deadly Tiger's Claws gleamed in her bag, razor-sharp and ready. After stretching, Kate walked towards Ming, stopping next to her.

"We here?"

Ming lets out a soft laugh, draping her wing over the fox's shoulder. She pokes the bag with her other wing.

"Yes. We are here, but you have to drop your weapons. Abbey rules and all....which reminds me..."

Ming spreads her wings and examines her wing blades. She starts to un-clip the bands with her beak and lets them fall to the ground at her feet.

"Now that that's taken care of. Guess whose here~"

She point her feather tip at the owl near the door.

((Mm, I was hoping someone would volunteer to have their character be Abbott, but.))

Storm looked back at the wagons.

"There likely won't be room for the wagons inside, so we'll leave them by the gatehouse. Everyone out," she called. Frozen hopped down from the second wagon, and strode to Storm's side. With another look at the others getting out of the wagons or milling around, they walked into the Abbey.
