• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open SPECTROBES: A New Era

Mark followed the leader, Star, into the sleek ship. El, Em, and En, the respective heads of his Grilda, followed him close behind, half-sliding, half-waddling.

Frederick dashed into the ship, and then slowed down. He went into the green pod to heal--who knows what they would encounter--and "save his adventure."

"How many of us will be driving the ship?"

"Just two," Star replied. "I need someone for mechanics. Navigation is covered. Anyone know how to fix things, just in case?"

Frederick shook his head. "Sorry, but I'm not good with that. My friend Jerome is, but he's not anywhere near at the moment. If only we had him here..." he sighed quietly, and leaned against a wall.

Vai shrugged.
"Not here, either. Can't we go, and hope nothing bad happens?"

((EDIT: Oh wait, we're going to Ziba? >=D I know what you're trying to do... Crap.))

((I'm not trying to do anything. We already have the demag unit.))

*timeskip*

Slowly, the spaceship came to a stop. "Looks like we're here."

Star hopped out of her seat, brushing herself off. "Now to look for Morty."

"Who's Morty?" Frederick stepped out of his current spot, which was still leaning against the wall. "Is he some sort of person. Why did I ask a question like that? Of course he is."

((Aw, that would have been... never mind.*headdesk*))
Vai stretched her arms in the air, and stood up.
"'Kay, let's get some fresh air," she said to herself.

Star headed out while explaining. "Morty is Professor Kate's assistant. Kate's research can't continue if Morty can't help out, so we have to go to the western side of this planet and rescue Morty. Apparently, he's trapped in a group of vortexes, probably one for each of us."

"That makes sense," said Frederick, exiting the ship. He stood outside, raising his hand slightly towards his Prizmod. "If they were outnumbered by us, what would be the fun of it?" He scanned the area. "I don't see anything, but Zoza might be able to find something.

"Hmmm, don'tcha think that'd be a bit too convenient?" said Mark, talking over the excited yaps and growls of El, Em, and En. He looked around and said to the main group, "How come not everybody has their Searchers out? El-Em-En is mine."

"Whoops!" Star said softly. She let out Heraku, her Vilar. "Here, you can walk with me, buggy."

She nodded towards her Weedle-like creature. "Yes, Buggy is his nickname."

After taking a few steps down the stairs, she asked the red worm, "Can you see anything?"

Blue light emanated from him for a moment, but other than that, he didn't react.

"Nothing, hmm? If you found something, you would stand on your head."

She shrugged, continuing west. Star was embarrassingly short compared to the others.

"Good idea." A0-002 appeared next to Frederick, and started glowing slightly.

"Did you find anything?"

Nothing sparkled near A0-002, at least not for a moment.

Then, there was a blue glint about three inches in front of Frederick's feet.

"Some kind of mineral," Star confirmed. "You might want to check it out."

There was nothing in El-Em-En's range, but Star nodded towards Frederick. "Usually, they're only in certain places."
