• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Spirits return...

Derish didn't know the move dig but he still could dig. He dug a small pit in the ground and ran his claws through the grass to find several twigs he piled the twigs into the pit and blew an ember on them. The imeditaly caught on fire."Cross fire off the list." Derish said.

((@Darksong: We're not against a wall, unless there's walls randomly placed throughout forest clearings. So.... Yeah, there's no wall. But there are trees.))

Derish was walking around in the dome when he accidently stepped on Firebird. He bent down and picked the Zubat up by the scruff of her neck. He carried her over by the fire and set her down. Derish began to lay down when he got an idea."Rock Tunnel! Dosen't it come out somewhere near Ceraulean city? If it does than it's the fastest way to Mt. Moon!" Derish got excited about something that could e completely wrong.

Angelo turned towards derish "That is a good idea. We should go tommorow morning! Only problem is it's as dark as night in there... We would never find our way out..." Angelo sighed as his hopes went down

((Hints at firebird's echolocation))

Xhan lay unconsiouss on the ground, and yet, he was conosiouss. He could hear and smell everything going on around him. Yet he couldn't, nor did he want to, move. He and the Marowak in his mind simply sat, staring at eachother. Xhan stared blankly, and the Marowak, whose name was still uncertain, watched him carefully. .... Why? Why can't I move? Why do I not want to? And why doesn't the Marowak try to kill me? The Marowak suddenly spoke up.
"I'm not killing you because to kill you in your mind would cause your body to decay and rot! I'd be back in the underworld before too long! I must live in peace with you, as all my brethren must with THEIR hosts! I would not hesitate to kill you, but my new life depends on it!"
Xhan continued to stare at the Marowak. You obviously had a rough life, huh?
"You don't know the half of it!" The Marowak spat at him.
What's your name?
"....Maraxus."

((Bats don't have scruffs. In fact, only dogs and cats do.))

Vanish wandered around aimlessly.

"Can't ghosts see in the dark?"

Firebird awoke at that moment. "What are we talking about? Getting through Rock Tunnel?"

Suddenly she perked up, flitting into the air. "I can guide us with my echoes! I can't see anyway!"

((You don't have to say that you're hinting to her echolocation. I can think, you know.))

Derish got an idea of how to get through rock tunnel. "Okay, from my undertsanding humans have large portions of tar. Tar makes great fire but it smells bad. Anyway if we get some large sticks that you beasts with thumbs can hold we should be able to make torches. Also someone find me a freaking rope or something I'll be like a bat in daylight. O sorry about that bat comment." Derish said. Suddently Derish felt a little hungry.

Xhan stared at the Marowak, who was obviously getting irritated at his staring. "WOULD YOU JUST WAKE UP, YOU IDIOT?!?!?!" He shouted, jumping to his feet. Xhan simply shook hi head. Maraxus clenched his bone tighter. "Grrrr...... WHY DON'T YOU JUST WAKE UP AND GET ON WITH YOUR LIFE!?!?!? WHY AM I SO INTERESTING TO YOU!?!?!?" Maraxus' left eye twitched. "IF YOU DON'T WAKE UP I'LL KILL YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!"
---
Xhan's head snapped up. "HU-WHA-WHO-WHERE-WHE?!" Xhan sat up, wiping his forehead. "Wait a minute.... Oh, right..." Xhan had momentarily forgotten where he was and what he was doing. Shrugging, Xhan stood up, felt dizzy, nearly fell, and regained his balance. "I'm good, I'm good... I'm okay.... I am okay, aren't I?" He asked nobody in particular.

"You're fine," Firebird replied. She turned her head to Derish. "That's all right. But just as long as everyone stays close to me, we should be fine."

Angelo helped xhan stand up "Are you ok xhan? While you were out we found out how to get to mount moon. We will have firebird lead us through the tunnel with echolocation."

((And also if this is the same marowak that haunted teh tower in B/R/Y/ Then it's female. As it's a mom. And sorry if i insulted you dark. I was just saying because there is also a houndoom who could use his fire))))

"Uh, I'm fine, according to Firebird. But I don't suppose a torch would be a bad idea either?" Xhan didn't need a torch, due to his ability to see auras, but it might be helpful if Firebird would scout ahead and tell them when the cave forked, went up, down, and if there was anyone ahead, and the rest of them might be able to see. Xhan fingered his scar, thinking of anything else that might be needed. "I suggest we all just go to sleep. If you sleep, that is." Xhan added, remembering Vanish. "I'm going to stay up a little while longer, as you can if want." Xhan pused, thinking of an excuse to leave the clearing. "I'm going to go find water. I'm dying of thirst." Xhan turned and walked from the camp, and closed his eyes and began sensing auras. Hopefully, I can find water. I need a drink, and soon.

Vanish appeared to faint, but kept his eye open. He stared up at the sky as if there were some magnificent comet in it.

"I'll just stay like this until we're ready to go."

Derish layed down. He closed his eyes and tried to keep his mind off of things. He hoped that none of his nightmares came more than usual. He closed his eyes and fell asleep quickly. He snored like a pig though.

"But it's nighttime! Can I go hunt instead?" Firebird asked. Peremptorily, she flew to the west, where there might be more bugs to catch.

Angelo watched firebird fly off "Oh no... i can't protect her outside of this dome... Dang it..." Turning to vanish "You do not have to stay awake vanish... as long as i am awake no spirit will come through this dome..."

Xhan stared into the woods. No sign of water. But there had to be water somewhere. After all, rain wasn't present all throughout the year. Finally, just as he was about to go back, he heard trickling water. Smiling to himself, he rushed after the sound, until his feet sloshed in ice-cold water. He jumped back abruptly, partially from surprise, and partially because he wanted to stay dry. He serched around breifly, and frowned at the sight of a bunch of humans with burning sticks in their mouths. Opening his eyes and squinting in the darkness, he spotted a water bottle-about 1 liter's worth-next to one of the humans. Although he didn't want to, it was nessecary. Sensing auras once again, Xhan crawled into a tree, and moved silently from one to the next. Once above the humans, he jumped down, kicked one in the head, turned around and elbowed one's chest, tripped one who was rising to his feet, swiped the water bottle, and ran.the three who hadn't been touched were spinning around, trying to figure out what was wrong. Xhan thoroughly cleaned the water bottle for saftey reasons, and filled it with the water from the river. He drank what he needed from the river, and headed back to camp.
