Open Symbols and Signs

Indigo's eyes widened. This was exactly what he wanted to hear. The explanation he was looking for. The numbers were far more important than they seemed. It made his eyes glow with excitement. This 'Hub' was exactly what he needed. With it, he could finally escape the world that gave him so much stress.

"If you cannot lead us, can you at least tell us where we need to go?" He asked, much more excited than he would've liked.

The hound stares at Indigo silently, a finger tapping on the cover of his book. He then breaks into a smug like smirk, getting up to his feet. "I never said I could not lead you. But it vill take quite the time to get vhere that old bird is. Ad for your earlier questions about veapons..." The hound now laughs under his breath. He lifts a glass from the table and walks to a sink in the corner. He fills the cup with water and turns back to them. "Vhy need veapons vhen you have magic?".

The glass in his hand start to make a soft cracking sound as the water inside freezes into solid ice. He turns the glass upside down to show that it is no longer water. "Ve do not need veapons."

"yes very well magic hound, but I cannot do none that," Nikolai said," I think most of us cannot but I may be wrong."

"Magic? You're nuts! We don't have magic." Xavia snapped, "Just because you can...freeze stuff doesn't mean we all can!"

Xavia bit her lip. Hopefully the wolf wouldn't get angry.

Ryan felt his heart start beating faster. Magic? No freakin' way... That's AMAZING! "So are you telling me that I could shoot fireballs from my hands? Or, you know, something along those lines? Laser-beam eyes? All that junk?" He didn't understand why other people were so... Uneasy, for lack of a better word, about magic. This was something he figured would be incredible, and shouldn't be taken poorly.

"You each vill obtain a power vhen your marks are deciphered. For now, I vill ask as your guide, though you shouldn't fret. This vorld is peaceful, more so than yours from vhat I hear." He chuckles under his breath, placing the glass on the table. "Can I can do more than freeze a glass of vater. But that is for another time. Ve should get going if you vant to return to your home."

He then walks to a lone coat hanger, plucking a cloak from the hook and fastening it around his neck. "Ve are not far from where the Owl is...and you should not fear maigc, for once you restore the gateway...vell, I'll let you figure that out on your own."

Indigo's eyes widened even further. The thought of magic was amazing. His father always said there was truth behind fiction, but this proved it. Indigo was quick to reach the wolf's side and stand beside him.

"Please, sir. Lead the way.." He said. It was getting very difficult for him to conceal his emotions.

(cribs I think you x3 posted, that is what I see in my browser)
"ah home yes Nikolai wants to return there," Nikolai said and walked over to the hound, he noticed the hound didn't do anything with the gun clip so he stuffed it in his bag

Trevor, after dazing out for what seemed like an hour or so, walked into the building many others had previously strolled into to find out more valuable information. Luckily, he ambled in at the exact time the wolf had begin his little lesson.

---

After the wolf had finished speaking, Trevor was absolutely astonished. The thought of him controlling unbelievable powers - magic - just from the bothersome mark that had appeared out of nowhere a few weeks piror to all of this. He could also sense the others' bewilderment, mainly Indigo's.

And so, Trevor left the wolf to lead him and the others to the owl that they had heard so much about. "What is going on here," Trevor mumbled under his breath.

He smiles a bit before drawing the hood over his head. After opening the door once more, he glides out into the street. Glancing at the sky, he could tell it was still early. "Perfect...not many vill see you yet. Ve must move fast if ve are to avoid trouble. Not many are too keen on the vorlds reuniting at the hub. Come now, children. Ve have much to do."

With that he starts down the road toward a single path that looks to lead to a forest.

Nikolai wastes no time and heads after the hound,"So sir, what is ze Owl like?"

(I mean to say 'ze' it is like 'the' but with a Russian accent)

"Ha. You make it sound like we'll be jumped any second. Thought you said this place was peaceful..." Ryan mumbled under his breath. That thing about numbers... What does thirteen mean? Am I going to die? Boy, that'd be a nice way to end. Death because of ridiculous superstitions about a freaking NUMBER. "Teenager dies unexpectedly: 13 to blame." What a stupid headline.

(gaah, catching up again. Though, I was gone for a few days so I couldn't post anyway)

Tasha was kind of surprised at this... pleasantly surprised, actually. Magic? Really? All because of the 42 on her shoulder? Well, that's kind of cool. Really cool. "And what kind of magic?" she wondered to herself. "Fire? Or water, maybe? Invisibility or flying?, that kind of stuff? Either way, it will probably be really nice..."

She started following the hound as he walked towards the forest, eager to find out more about all of this.

Xavia followed the wolf.

"...Why can't people see us?" she asked, finally getting more comfortable with the world, "Are they like...gonna go crazy and attack us? Do they find humans as monsters?"

If so....I wish I had my knife. she thought, But apparently, I have magic...

You didn't have to ask Indigo twice to follow the wolf. In fact, he practically ran towards him at full speed with the intent of following him to the very end. He had been given his taste of magic and he would stay until the end to get his fill of it.

Still, he was a little worried about the forest. If animals walked around like humans, the beasts in forests must be quite more... beastly.

"Excuse me, sir." He called after the wolf, still with a monotone. "Is there anything that I should worry about in this forest?"

"Like i said before, there are still members of this vorld that vish to keep the worlds apart. They fear another var vill break out and that our vorld vould fall if it ever started. They vorry about their children and family, friends dying because the vorlds are connected." He responds, looking over his shoulder at the others. "Thing is, you are only here because your vorld is ready to be reconnected. There may be var in your vorld, but it seems it vill be a long time before they turn their gaze to the hub. You do have countries that seem to respect boarders and peace."

His eyes then locked on Ryan, a low chuckle leaving him. "Ve may be peaceful, doesn't mean vw don't know how to defend ourselves if ve must. You continue to call us 'animals', you are not far off that, for we still have our instincts of survival. If I need be, I vould tear into the throat of the one threatening me vith my fangs....course, I could alvays freeze them too and do a matter of other magics. Vhich I vill, for you all, that the magic you weild will reflect the mark you wear and whom you are. Magic is a personal thing as well. Mine reflects my origin of a frozen northern land, a place that is known to serve Vodka. My powers are ice that never melts in the sun and cold winds that cut through any hide and armour...and may I ask what this streltzy you speak of...?"

He then glances down at the man to his side, asking what may be in the forest. His eyes travel to the brush ahead, his mouth a firm line. "In the forest are all matter of beings. There are very few that travel this way in fear of the things that dwell there. For some reason this place is also a favourite spot for that blasted Owl to take his walks when musing. At the time, you do not have magic, so i will be your guide through the dangers ahead."

"A frozen place that serves Vodka!" Nikolai said very happy,"sounds like back home in Soviet Russia, mmmm Vodka."
