Elise quickly drew two circles, small and side by side, then connected them with a loop. She had been doing this for quite a while now. She traced over her sketch of a cherry, more carefully this time, making them perfect. They would be a delicious snack later. If only she had her colored pencils with her. Alas, she only had her pencil and eraser, along with a small, thin book of an unknown subject. She had only brought it along to be a table for her drawings, as it's usually quite difficult to draw on top of nothing.
Looking up, she realized that everyone had gone into the auditorium. A few minutes ago they were swarming, herding around the door and waiting to get in! How she managed to be so unalert was slightly alarming to her, but she quickly stuffed her supplies into her coat pocket and snuck into the crowded room. The announcer had already started talking! Elise sheepishly took a seat next to a boy with a purple shirt and green pants.
After that little incident, she took out her pencil and paper and starting drawing cherries again, ignoring her neighbor completely. She was listening to the announcers, though, but that was not obvious.
Suddenly, it was like a bomb was dropped on her. Elise looked up in fear, wondering what happened, and a moster was standing before her. It seems like a student had challenged him, and he was explaining why that was a bad idea. He told them to find their dorms. Elise put her art supplies away once more, but stayed where she was. She didn't want to be the first one up, for many reasons. One of them being she had no idea where her room was. Oh well. She would find out soon enough, hopefully.
((Confused, generally reclusive characters are so much easier to introduce late! :D))
