Me again.

I've got through Leafgreen to the point of setting up to trade with Hoenn, and so the monotype will end (my brother's going to want his other pokemon back, so everything apart from Venusaur and maybe Haunter will be replaced by Pokemon from his previous save files.

Final team:

venusaur
Female, Level 54
Razor Leas/Tackle/Leech Seed/Synthesis

Haunter
Male, Level 53
Shadow Punch/Confuse Ray/Shadow Ball/Thunderbolt

Nidoqueen
Male Female, Level 53
Shadow Ball/Earthquake/Flamethrower/Strength

Crobat
Male, Level 53
Wing Attack/Bite/Poison Fang/Confuse Ray

Venomoth
Female, Level 53
Psybeam/Gust/Silver Wind/Psychic

Tentacruel
Female, Level 53
Waterfall/Acid/Surf/Ice Beam

Nothing much happening in Emerald, I've been working on the Pokedex and looking around the battle frontier

I'll start a Ground mono in my Ruby soon.
Planned team:
SwampertFlygonGroudon
I figure it'll be more convenient to use three, since they're coincidentally the best three Ground types in the game. Though, can I trade in a Nidoran from my Leafgreen? I personally love Nidoking. Even if he doesn't get Megahorn in RSE. Though I suppose I could trade back at Lv. 41(?) and use the move tutor.
EDIT: Since this probably won't be answered soon, and I want to start soon, I'll just say "screw it" and do the damn trade.

I'm starting a steel type run in Pearl(accually I started on Sunday but kept forgetting to post). My planned team is Empoleon, Wormadam(Steel forme), Steelix, Lucario, Bronzong, and Bidoof as a HM slave.

Made lots of progress since my initial post. I've scrapped Flygon, so my team is as follows:
Swampert
Lv. 53
Surf, Earthquake, Ice Beam, Return

Nidoking
Lv. 53
Sludge Bomb, Dig, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam

Nidoqueen
Lv. 53
Earthquake, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Thunderbolt

Groudon
Lv. 50
Fire Blast, Earthquake, Solarbeam, Brick Break

Just got through Victory Road, and I feel comfortably high-leveled and will take on the Elite Four later.

I think I'll start a Rock monotype on Crystal. However, it doesn't save right; thus I have to leave it on and my play time will count for real hours.

Started: Thursday, July 16th, 2009, sometime in the afternoon

Planned team:
Tyranitar
Graveler (I can't trade since I don't have the right cable)
Onix
Rhydon
Corsola
Sudowoodo

... I'm so going to be defeated by the Fighting gym x(

Edit:

Name: Stone [♀]
ID No. 21192 -- Money: $3219 -- Play Time: 37:37
Achievement: Defeated Falkner -- got the Zephyrbadge.
Badges: 1

Remember that Flying mono I was doing? No? The Grass mono? Not at all?

On my Emerald Grass mono I'm in exactly the same place and will never touch the game again unless it's to start a new file.

My FireRed Flying mono is going okay. I don't really have a set team yet because I don't usually plan that far in advance. I beat Brock with little problem due to Charms' Metal Claw and Free's Confusion. Now I'm in Cerulean City, leveling Echo and Gyara, trying to decide whether to take Nugget Bridge and my rival first or whether to get Misty over and done with. I'm probably going to evolve almost everyone first, except Free and Charms.

Team:
MAGIKARP Gyara Lv.16
ZUBAT Echo Lv.16
SPEAROW Annie Lv.17
PIDGEY Tini Lv.17
CHARMELEON Charms Lv.17
BUTTERFREE Free Lv.17

I'm just starting a Flying monotype on Crystal. Don't have a planned team yet. I'd rather just go along with what happens, with maybe a few members in mind, probably Skarmory and Xatu for sure.

Game Started: Wednesday, August 16th, 12:34

Initial Report

Game:
Crystal

Leech Life
Supersonic

Hoothoot
Male, Lv. 11
Peck
Growl
Foresight
Tackle

Notes: Not much to say. Beat Falkner. Got the Mystery Egg. Talked to Earl. Yep. Can't wait for Zubat to learn a better move.

I'm going to start a Ghost Monotype Run on Platinum once I have SoulSilver to send my 'mons over to.

the team will be the following:

Gengar
-Shadow Ball
-Dark Pulse
-Hypnotize
-Focus Blast

Mismagius
-Shadow Ball
-Calm Mind
-Thunderbolt
-Pain Split

A lot.

Just decided to start a WATER monotype in Ruby, here's how it's going:

Money: 8964
Pokédex: 2
Play Time: 1:25

Team

Marshtomp
Zuzu() Level: 17

Beat Roxanne with no problem at all :D! Planning to get more Pokémon soon though; probably something like: Gyarados, Kingdra, Walrein, Starmie, Tentacruel, and Swampert in the end.

Game Started: Wednesday, August 16th, 12:34

Second Report

Quick Attack

Zubat

Bite
Supersonic
Leech Life

Spearow
Male, Lv. 16
Peck
Growl
Leer
Fury Attack

Notes: Just beat Bugsy. Easiest battle I've ever had with him. Uhhumm. I lost my first battle, against the hiker who calls you about Dunsparce, because I wasn't paying attention.

Update on my WATER mono in Ruby:

Trainer Card

Name: Sephy ()
Badges: 2
Money: 13744
Pokédex: 5
Play Time: 4:50 (It's a bit high because I left it running while I was watching a movie...)

Team

Marshtomp**
Zuzu() Level: 21
Attacks:
Mud Shot | Rock Tomb | Water Gun | Bide

Magikarp*
Gyara() Level: 10 (Lots of training needed!)
Attacks:
Splash

Tentacool**
Doku() Level: 9 (Needs a TON of training)
Attacks:
Cut | Poison Sting | Supersonic

Beet Brawly in a snap (Usually have a bit of trouble with him...), just training in Granite Cave for a while before heading on out to Slateport. Just so you know the little asterisks by the Pokémon's sprite indicate type, no real reason for having that it's just for the hell of it.

Once I find my copy of Emerald, I'm going to start doing either a Fighting or Grass mono. Obviously, I have no idea what my team is going to be.

I think I'm going to do a normal type mono on Gold. Since I use an emulator for it, I tend to just fast-forward through everything, so I should be to Red in about 2-3 days.

Planned team:
Furret
Pidgeot
Girafarig
Miltank / Tauros / Stantler
Ursaring

Finally got around to starting, but I have a bit of a twist on my mono-type run.

Unevolved Poison Mono-type File
Cartridge: Fire Red
Trainer: Io
Badges: 1
Pokédex: 5
Time: 3 hrs, 16 mins

Ekans
Ekaterina -- Lv15
Wrap ~ Leer ~ Bite ~ Poison Sting

Zubat
Zelda -- Lv16
Bite ~ Leech Life ~ Astonish ~ Supersonic

Nidoranm
Nero -- Lv16
Peck ~ Leer ~ Focus Energy ~ Double Kick

Nidoranf
Doreen -- Lv16
Scratch ~ Growl ~ Tail Whip ~ Double Kick

Bulbasaur
Bubba -- Lv20
Tackle ~ Sleep Powder ~ Leech Seed ~ Razor Leaf

I'm at least going to try to keep them unevolved for as long as I can.
