Closed X: The step into other worlds

"We just have to keep trying to get it out of her." Darkness sighed.
"I can help with that." Spirit mumbled.
Zora stared straight into his eyes. Stunningly blue, like she'd come to find solace in. Her stomach was in knots, but somehow his touch seemed to ease the unpleasant feeling.
"Rhythm... I think I might be..."

"I knew you'd see it like that." Aidan said, smiling.
"We'll get it out of her." Raiquen said, right before Melody walked back in. She shook her hair dry.
"Oh man, it's really exhilarating out there..."
Rhythm reached his other hand up and stroked her hair a few times.
"Then don't be afraid...Go ahead..."

"I was out there earlier. It really is." Darkness agreed.
"Quite." Spirit muttered, "Perfect weather to wake you up if you stand in it."
Zora swallowed hard. This was it, and she was ready.
"Rhythm... Will you marry me?"

"Really." Melody said, walking over and sitting down.
"Melody, did you just hear what Zora asked...?" Aidan muttered, staring in their direction.
"I think I might've..." Raiquen said, also staring.
Rhythm closed his eyes for a moment. And for that moment, he had one last quick consideration. When he opened his eyes, he smiled warmly.
"Yes, I will."

Darkness, at the question, looked over slowly. Spirit's head snapped to the left at it, and Cyndra nearly dropped the cup of coffee she had poured herself. Kirita, Starlight and Hera looked at the couple with their mouths agape. At the answer, Windfall and Fairwind stared at first. Then Windfall started clapping slowly. The rest followed, applauding as Zora hugged him even tighter, looked up and kissed him passionately. This was quite obviously the happiest day of her life.

Raiquen blinked in astonishment, then as the others stared clapping, he followed suite. Aidan, Melody, and all the others began to applaud also. Rhythm was surprised at the sudden kiss, but he returned it nevertheless. His choice was made, and he didn't regret it one bit.

Zora broke away after a few moments and grinned widely. Meanwhile, Darkness grabbed Windfall's infamous purse and pulled out a tablet and a pen.
"Alright, we need to plan this thing, and I'm gonna help. And of course since she asked, Jax can too." she proclaimed, "First off, when are we going to do this?"
Zora looked up at Rhythm, the grin not leaving her face.
"Well... when do you think we should?" she asked him.

Rhythm stared at the ground and thought. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't even come up with a simple estimate, let alone an exact day. He straightened up and looked at Zora innocently.
"I simply can't say an exact date...Maybe you should choose..."

"Oh, um... What about right here say... tomorrow?" Zora asked, "I mean, I know it usually takes longer to do something like this, but-"
"Well, I already have the stuff in Windfall's bag here, so if it's alright with Rhythm I say we're go." Darkness muttered, cutting her off and nosing through said bag as she did so.

"Wow, um, alright. I guess that'll work." Rhythm declared. He was a bit astonished that they planned to have something as intricate as an unexpected wedding set up by tomorrow. But since he's known them for quite a while, he should have expected something like this.

"Alright then." Darkness stated, "I promise you, I will make it a day to remember for the both of you." She turned to the others at that moment.
"ABOUT FACE!"
Cyndra, Windfall, Spirit, Starlight, Hera, Kirita and Acacia lined up as quickly as they could, each saluting. Fairwind didn't, as she was a bit confused at this practice.
"OK! Windfall and Hera, you two are in charge of the decor once we've got a basic idea down!"
"Yes ma'am!" Hera exclaimed.
"Kirita, Acacia, you two will be in charge of the food, got it?"
"Yeah, I got it." Kirita muttered.
As Darkness continued assigning jobs (Spirit and Starlight were to help with the seating, Cyndra and herself were doing outfitting and the like), Zora blinked.
"I swear that class she took did something to her..."

"Er...What kind of class-you know what. I don't wanna know." Rhythm muttered.
"I want to know." Melody said.
"I'm starting to believe the claims of insanity." Marshall muttered, still sitting on the ground. He then looked around.
"Hey, Falar disappeared. Where'd he run off to this time?"
"Perhaps he fell asleep again." Raith suggested.

"Nothing important, just some summer classes she took last year. Can't remember what she said they were for... Think it had a bit to do with- That's right, she had to retake Consumer Ed during the summer and there was that thing with learning how to plan weddings in a rush..." Zora muttered tiredly as Darkness turned toward the hallway.
"Now, I've some things to mark down. I'll consult with you two later." and she trotted down the hall into her bedroom.

((Since we all know what's going on with Markky [;~;], posting to keep the thread alive...))

"Well it's probably going to be at the same place the wedding is, so yeah." Zora sighed, "I'd imagine they'd do the ceremony out front, then have the reception in back."
"Sounds accurate." Spirit muttered, before turning to Starlight, "OK, we gotta get the seating arrangements set up and call everyone."
"You got it." Starlight agreed before they both ran off toward a room. Kirita and Acacia were already working in the kitchen, and Windfall and Hera had also run toward a room.

With all the moving people, Rhythm blinked dazedly and let go of Zora, falling awkwardly into a seat.
"NOW I see how they can do all this so quickly..." He muttered. Raiquen couldn't help but laugh.
"Why aren't you helping them?" Rhythm asked, still dazed.
"I know nothing about weddings." Rai responded, "And I don't plan to learn about them anytime soon."
