• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed X: The step into other worlds

Zora glared at Deax and groaned as Cyndra lifted her arm and measured it.
"Whatever." she twitched as Cyndra moved behind her, "Stop that, Cynd... It tickles..."
"Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me, Miss Thang!" came the reply, "I know you did not just call me that!"
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't."
Cyndra merely grunted and continued her work as Darkness peered out the door.
"Wonder how the boys are doing?"

Both Rhythm and Aidan appeared as if out of nowhere into the hallway.
"Yeah, so like I was saying..." Aidan began.
"Not so loud!" Rhythm said, and they continued their conversation in rushed whispers. As it finished, they walked out into the hallway and sat in separate chairs as if nothing had happened.

Darkness watched them intently until they sat, and when they did she walked out, leaving Cyndra to measure and fit a now-agitated Zora.
"Right. Did you manage to find one in a suitable size?" she asked them as she too sat in a chair, across from them. Though she DID eye Fairwind and Windfall as they rushed out the door with a stack of invitations.
"Spirit must've put 'em up to it..."

"His suit." Aidan replied.
"Or rather, how it needs to be made specifically. But apparently Raith can handle it." Rhythm said.
"Hmwha?" Raith muttered at the mention of his name. He had previously fallen into a light sleep.

"Most excellent!" Darkness exclaimed at this news. She had been about to round on Deax for following her, but decided against it as Spirit shuffled out.
"The invitations are sent. Windfall's going to deliver them to the addressees personally."
"More excellent. Have you done the seating charts then?"
"Starlight's finishing those up."
"This is great. It's going better than I expected. Just hope Hera doesn't mind that you sent Windfall off."
I don't think she does... Speaking of which..."
At that moment, Hera stepped out of the room with some papers in hand.
"Anyone seen Windfall?"

"She, uh..." Rhythm began, then paused.
"She left to go deliver stuff, I think." Aidan finished for him.
"I still have no idea what inspired her to leave in this hurricane-ish weather." Raith muttered.

"I think Spirit put her up to it. But come on. She's Windfall. She'll be fine." Darkness muttered as Hera glared.
"Well that's just great. I needed her."
"Can't you plan a bit by yourself?"
"No."
Darkness then neglected to respond to her, jumping as she heard a crash in the room Zora and Cyndra were in.

Darkness immediately dashed to the source of the noise, to find Cyndra trying to help Zora off of the floor. The stool she'd been sitting on was tipped over, and it appeared that Zora had managed to somehow accidentally make the waste basket flip up and land on her head.
"...This is not fun." her muffled voice muttered.

Rhythm looked into the room, only to lean out and facepalm. Somehow he knew something like this was about to happen.
"Aye..." He muttered, walking away from the room and slumping back down.
"Do I want to know?" Raith asked.
"You'll find out soon enough."

Zora stood up and glared at Cyndra. This was to no avail, however, as she still had the waste basket over her head. She tried to pull it off, but it seemed that it was stuck. Cyndra snickered.
"I got the measurements anyhow, so go. The dress'll be ready by tonight."
"Whatever." Zora growled, walking toward the door and crashing into the wall. As soon as she DID find the door, however, she stormed out of the hall and tripped over the chair she had been going to sit in. The force of the impact dislodged the waste basket, and she blinked at the light in the room.

"Jax, one of these days you are going to push me too far, and then I'm gonna have to... never mind." Zora muttered, crawling up unto the chair she had tripped over. It had made her ankle hurt, so she massaged it as soon as she sat down.
"Ow... You know, if Cyndra hadn'tve kicked the stool that wouldn't have happened..."
"Oh suck it up." A voice called from in the kitchen. Kirita soon stepped out, untying an apron as she did so.

"Wasn't a very nice joke..." Zora murmured.
"Seriously. Suck it up." Kirita sighed, "What happened anyway?"
"Cyndra kicked the stool I was standing on, knocked me down, where I twisted my ankle and ended up with a waste basket stuck on my head."
"Ouch."
"No kidding." Darkness interjected, "But even so, how's your job coming, Kirita?"
"Fine. Acacia told me she'd do the whole thing, which leaves me jobless. Which is fine with me." she flopped down in a chair.
