Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed X: The step into other worlds

"...He's made it fifteen." Darkness muttered.
"Damn it!" Kirita cried.
Zora didn't reply, only watched out the window. She wanted to go out herself, but given what had happened to Windfall she knew it wouldn't be such a good idea right now. Maybe if it warmed up.

Darkness and Kirita glanced over their shoulders at Jax, and then Darkness turned back to her watch and Kirita moved to watch out the window with Zora, who didn't appear to notice.
"Good God..." Windfall muttered, "If you saw what happened to me, why the hell did you go out there...?"

"I wanted to see if Rhythm was okay." she said, "Going out in THAT."

(Lemme guess, this is Frost's doing)

Rhythm quietly sat down on the frozen grass, the wind ruffling his white pelt. He came out here to think, and that's what he intended to do. As the rain hit his body softly, he laid his head down on his paws and closed his eyes. Nothing seemed to disturb him.
"Good lord, he's going to come down with hypothermia." Raith muttered, staring at him through the window.

"Someone get him out of there." Deax moaned, "I don't want another one to care for. Zora, how long was this snowstorm going on for?"

"It's rain, you dunce." Zora muttered as she looked up, "It's been going all day, and is starting to change over into freezing rain." she then stood up and moved for Windfall's purse.
"Zora what are you doing?" Darkness asked.
"Grabbing my coat and going out there with him. Might try and convince him to come in before he gets sick." she pulled a dark violet winter coat out of the bag and put it on. She then proceeded to open the door and walk out.

Rhythm opened one eye and looked towards the door to see Zora. Raising his head, he stared at her questionably before standing up, shaking himself, then trotting over to her.
"Oh man...They'd better get in here soon." Raith muttered, looking at the clouds through the window.

((No, it's not. He might have the name for it, but he's just a regular person. Although he has awesome pants. >>))

Zora, seeing Rhythm come over to her, crouched down to his level and shivered.
"Is freezing out here..." she muttered, glancing at the clouds overhead and then back at him.
Darkness watched them from the window.
"They're nuts if they think they can stay out there much longer."
"No kidding." Fairwind added, startling Darkness. She hadn't seen her come up from behind.

Rhythm curled up next to her, staring into the darkened trees. Soon though, he switched his vision and stared up at the clouds. The rain felt good to him, and gave him space to think, but if he stayed out here much longer, he would get sick.
"I'm not going to worry about them. It's their fault." Raith muttered, floating away.

Zora continued to stare up at the sky. But she blinked as she saw something a bit unusual. Was that... a snowflake that was floating down toward her? As it landed on the tip of her nose, she was certain that that's what it was.
Darkness just continued to watch them intently.
"They'll be in soon, I can feel it."

"Get out of there!" Deax yelled out the window.

(Should I make a character that is controlling this weather?)

Rhythm raised his head and blinked at Deax, then laid it back down.
"I think they want us back in." He muttered. Then he started feeling something other than rain. Looking up, he felt one hit his forehead.
"I think we should go back in too." He aid alarmingly, standing up.

"Yeeeaaah... Thinking that'd probably be a good idea." Zora muttered as she stood up. She shivered again, shook herself off and then went inside, holding the door open for him.
"I didn't think you'd last more than thirty seconds out there." Darkness mumbled as they came inside.
"You didn't think that of Rhythm either but he did."
"...Good point."

Rhythm stepped in, then shook himself off before morphing back into a human. As soon as he did, he emitted a slight shiver.
"Phew...Still cold."
"What possessed you to go out there?" Raith asked.
"I needed to think about some things."
"And you couldn't have done that in here?"
"No. The cold suits me."

Zora sighed.
"Have it your way..." she hung up her coat and shivered again, "It was starting to snow out there... Good God it's cold..."
"Looks like it." Darkness muttered.
Windfall glanced at Deax.
"Well Zora's friend Skye said she and her sisters would be coming later tonight... Amethyst will be coming in the morning, and Frost is gonna hitch a ride with her... The rest of the people I gave invitations to didn't say-" aaand she sneezed again.

Rhythm sidled over to Zora, and hugged her from behind in an attempt to warm both of them up.
"So basically you can't think deeply unless it's raining." Raith stated.
"Or if it's cold. Cold works also." Rhythm said.
"We could have just put a fan on you or something instead of you risking hypothermia."
"It wouldn't be the same. I prefer natural."
