Closed X: The step into other worlds

After shaking some snow out of his pelt, Rhythm curled up in a chair next to her. He had an urge to just jump into the room and attack Rayne, but he suppressed it. The challenge of facing her when she was fully ready was enough.
----------
Adaye sat silently, listening. Raiquen had not said enough for her to just jump up and thank him. He seemed to realize this, and continued.
"The prospect of revenge overtook me...I guess our parents were more valuable then I came to realize...So, Adaye, will you forgive me?"

Sephii yawned and collapsed into a bed.

(Her sister won't come in until after Raiquen and Kirita are accused of murder and Sephii, Maya, and Nick (Phoenix) prove them innocent.)

Zora looked over as she heard something get into the chair next to him. Sighing as she saw the familiar white pelt, she looked toward the wall. She really wanted to go over there and cuddle that right now. It would be nice, considering she was freezing and it might help to get her mind off the mixed feelings she was feeling about the one being healed in the other room for a bit, but she didn't want to disturb him either.
"Hm..."
----------------
Skye crouched down next to the bed as Spirit finished cleaning away the blood. A flick of her wrist, and it was glowing green and she began to heal the wounds.
"Even after I heal her, she might be out for a while... Ah, but I'll bring it up then... what to do with her..."
------------------
Now, Starlight was only halfway listening. The other half of her was wondering why Spirit would bring that story up.
It hurts her as much as it does me... so why...?

"Something wrong?" Rhythm asked. He guessed it was about Rayne, but he thought that he was probably wrong. Without waiting for any answer, he brushed his head against Zora's arm affectionately, in hopes it would take her mind off of whatever she was thinking.
----------
Adaye sighed in relief. She had been waiting for the day that they would no longer be enemies.
"Alright, I forgive you. Now I ask, will you forgive me?" She asked. With no thought in his head, Raiquen nodded.
"Yes. I know you regret doing that. I forgive you entirely."

"Mmm, just thinking..." Zora sighed, patting his head with her other hand when he brushed up against her arm. That was one of the things she loved about this form of his, the fact that it was so soft and huggable, and she smiled. It had helped.
-------------
Starlight looked over at them and nodded, before going on her way into her room. But she might as well tell spirit, so that's what she did. She went into the room where she was, and stood in the doorframe until Spirit noticed her.
"Oh...?"
"They made up. We don't have to worry about that anymore."
"Mmm, that's good..."

"Alright then. I won't bother you." Rhythm said, laying his head back down. He would wait until he was no longer cold, then switch back to normal and wander around. Wandering would get his mind off things.
----------
Adaye smiled, and hugged her brother. Finally, she would not have to worry about any violent fights between them. It was a relief. After the delightful embrace, Raiquen left the room and Adaye sat, mirthful and enjoying the bliss of the snow.

"Nono, you weren't bothering me at all. It was actually kinda nice." Zora mumbled, shivering involuntarily, "Y'know, warmed me up. I'm still freezing, so yeah..." she wouldn't tell him about wanting to pick him up and cuddle him. He was better off not knowing that.
----------------
Starlight sat next to Spirit and watched her. It was now that she finally understood why Spirit had told the story. Even if she didn't like to think about it.
"You going to need any help there?"
"No, I think I've got it for now. I'll let you know if I do."

"Mmm, well, let me help with that." Rhythm muttered. He brushed against her arm again, then hopped off the chair and into her lap. He then brushed against her neck, before hopping back into his chair.
"Bit better? Or not much?"
----------
Raiquen walked down the hallway, looking into the rooms boredly when he saw Spirit, Starlight, and another girl in one room. On the bed was a nearly unrecognizable Rayne.
"What happened to her?"

"Yes, that is a bit better..." Zora mumbled pleasantly. She had turned almost scarlet red, so much so that it was almost hard to see the little bit of hair that fell into her face.
"Thanks..."
-----------
Spirit looked up and saw Raiquen.
"We... aren't really sure. They just sorta found her like this." she answered as she continued running her glowing hand over the wounds Rayne had sustained, "You know what? Starlight, get over on the other side and help."

Rhythm looked up at her face, then made a noise that sounded like a laugh.
"Quite the blusher, aren't we?" He said, brushing against her arm once again. "No matter. It looks cute."
----------
Raiquen slowly walked into the room, staring at Rayne as if she was going to jump up and attack. As soon as his gaze turned to her wounds, Rayne lifted a hand desperately, then let it fall back down.
"Damn, she's taken a beating. Who could have done this?"

"I wha...?" Zora asked bewilderedly. She glanced over at a mirror at that moment, and if she could've gone any more red she would have.
"I um... guess I am..."
-----------
"I don't know. But she certainly has." Spirit mumbled, "At least they got her here in time." She watched Rayne's arm go up, then fall back, and she sighed as she continued to try to heal her.

Rhythm again laughed, and reached over and brushed her neck again before laying his head down on her arm.
"Are you warm? Or am I going to have to start brushing you even more?"
----------
Raiquen stood over Rayne, deep in thought. Eventually he got tired of standing, so he pulled up a chair next to the bed.
"I hope she gets out of this alive..."

The feeling of him brushing against her neck made Zora shiver.
"Yes, I'm warm... but by all means, if you want to keep doing it go ahead..." she muttered blissfully.
-----------------
"I do too..." Spirit mumbled. Just the sight was depressing. The poor girl, battered and beaten, probably alone.
"That's what I'm trying to do. Make sure she gets out of this alive."

Rhythm glanced up at her. Considering her tone of voice, Zora seemed to be enjoying it. So he continued brushing against her, starting with her arm then back up to her neck.
----------
As Raiquen stared at Rayne, her hand went up again. This time, Rai caught it before it fell, for he had glimpsed something on the palm of her hand. As he stared at her palm, he grimaced and put her hand back on the bed.
"I think I know who did it."

Zora giggled pleasuredly.
"Mmm... Yes, I like thissss..." she quietly mused. She didn't have to say anything. The look on her face was enough to tell you what she felt.
---------------
"You... do...?" Spirit asked confusedly. She removed her glowing hand for a moment as he said it, but soon was back to healing her, and moved on to the wounds near her head.

Rhythm snickered, then moved up from Zora's neck to her face, then back down to her shoulder, then finally her arm before hopping back into her lap and continuing to brush.
----------
"Yeah..." Raiquen muttered, "It's sorta written on her hand. Scratched, I should say. Barely legible, but it spells out...Opal." He stared at Rayne for a moment, then turned to Spirit.
"I've heard that name before. Zora doesn't like her too much, does she?"

"Uwaaah...?" Zora mumbled blissfully. It was clear that she very much enjoyed this. When she felt him jump over into her lap, she began to purr softly. After that she just closed her eyes and let him do what he was doing.
------------
"Opal..." Spirit repeated, before hearing what he had asked.
"Doesn't like her too much is an understatement. a HUGE understatement." Starlight muttered solemnly.
"She's right. Those two despise each other. Except... the last time they met, I saw a bit of a collapse in both of their hatred, and Zora kinda broke down after the fight..." Spirit sighed, "I'm sure she's long over that though, but we still shouldn't bother her with it for a while."
