Closed X: The step into other worlds

Rhythm brushed along Zora's body one last time, before jumping back to his seat.
"Aye, my neck is starting to burn...Sorry." He muttered, hanging his head over the chair.
----------
"Hm...Well, even with that taken care of, why would Opal attack poor Rayne? I thought they were coordinating with one another. What reason would she have...?" Raiquen muttered. All these questions were mostly to himself, to take his mind off of Rayne.

"It's fine, really. I understand." Zora sighed, leaning back in her chair. She was still purring unknowingly, and still had her eyes closed. Still trying to relish the lingering feeling of his fur on her skin.
-----------
Spirit sighed, glancing at Raiquen. She didn't want to answer his questions, mostly because she didn't know the answers herself.
"I... really don't know..." she sighed, removing her glowing hand a moment.
"She is starting to look better..." Starlight mumbled.
"Yes, I see that... I need to give my hand a rest. Take over for me for a while..."
"You got it." With that, Starlight flicked her wrist and created a silvery glow around her own hand, and started to do what Spirit had been doing.

Rhythm morphed back to human, and was massaging his neck when he heard Zora purring. He was barely able to stifle a giggle, but he did. Eventually, he was able to stop, and continued massaging his neck.
----------
Raiquen rested his head on his fist, deep in thought. Soon, he came up with an idea, but he needed confirmation.
"Maybe...Did anything happen with Opal at the last fight those two had?"

Zora glanced over at Deax. She had half a mind to come over there and rub his neck for him and give him a bit of a break, but she surpressed it and answered the question.
"Yeah, I'll have some..."
-----------------
Spirit glanced up at Raiquen as she massaged the hand she'd been using to heal.
"Well, yes... It was right after Zora had started to go Berserk. As they finally started to fight... I swear I saw a flicker of sadness on Opal's face. I'm not all too good at reading lips, but she said something to her to the effect of 'If this is what you really want...'. I guess Zora saw it too, and I know she definitely heard it, and she fell apart slowly and the fight ended as Opal ran. But... why do you ask?"

Rhythm stood up and stretched, wings included. Although he couldn't divert from Rayne, he hoped he had helped Zora to do so. With that, he sighed, and went for the door.
"I'll be gone for a bit again."
----------
"If that's it, then never mind..." Raiquen muttered. He was hoping for an answer that fit what he was thinking, but he'd wait until he had absolute facts before he figured out who had attacked Rayne. Someone else could have easily framed Opal, but then again...

Zora nodded slowly.
"Promise me you'll come back soon..." she sighed, taking a small bite out of the sandwich.
------------
"I just don't know what could've happened..." Spirit muttered, "I mean, she could've snapped, she could've been framed, just... I don't know." she looked down at Rayne, "At least the healing seems to be working..."

Rhythm nodded back at her.
"I will be. See you later." He muttered, closing the door as he left. Making sure his sword was still on his belt, he launched up into the air.
----------
"Hmph...Well, we'll figure it out later." Raiquen muttered, not taking his eyes off Rayne. "We can ask her when she wakes up. Hopefully she won't be too P.O'd."

"Alright... See you later..." Zora mumbled sadly. She then sat there, watching the window and eating the sandwich slowly.
Darkness had fallen asleep after getting inside, and she stirred to see Zora sitting there.
"Oh... Hm.."
"Is that all you have to say?"
---------------
"Aye, I also hope she isn't." Spirit muttered.
"We saved her life. If anything she damn well better be grateful." Starlight sighed.
"She was heavy." Skye said, seemingly out of the blue. Obviously commenting on having had to fly Rayne here.

"Probably not." Aidan muttered, walking out of his room. He had overheard the conversation as he walked down the hallway.
"Knowing him, he's just probably gone out for a fly, which means trouble."
----------
Raiquen blinked, then touched Rayne's arm. He almost immediately pulled his hand back, shaking it.
"Did you make her that hot? Because that's unnaturally burning hot skin."

"I know thaaat... Why do you think I"m so worried, Aidan?" Zora whined as she continued to stare out the window, " I should've gone with hiiim..."
"Quit whining..." Darkness groaned, clutching her head.
"No... Damn it, I want to follow him but it's probably too late now..."
-----------
"That's... not good." Spirit muttered.
"It's beginning to hurt." Starlight commented, removing her hand worriedly.
"We need to cool her down! Rai, I need you to find a tub and fill it with water!" Spirit commanded, "Skye, you're pretty heat resistant, right?!"
"Yeah..." the skeptic demon replied.
"Carry her!"
"Not again..."

"Right. Sorry." Aidan muttered, falling into a seat. At that moment, Raith came floating out of his room.
"Where's Rhythm? I need to speak with him urgently."
"He's out right now." Aidan replied, "Can I take a message?"
"I need to speak with him urgently and privately." Raith grumbled, floating back into his room.
----------
At Spirit's command, Raiquen ran to the nearest bathroom. He looked inside, but saw no tub. Going to the next one, he found that this one did have a tub. So he quickly ran in and began filling it with cold water.

Zora whimpered quietly, much to the dismay of Darkness.
"Stop whining! If you really want to find him, I'll take you. But ONLY if you really think he's in danger." Darkness snapped. This sobered Zora, but the worry still floated around in her head.
Whatever did that to Rayne is still out there... I don't want him to get hurt, especially not now...
--------------
Spirit raced out after Raiquen, Starlight following close behind. Skye came after that, carrying Rayne in her arms.
"OK, get that jacket and those shoes off of her! I'm pretty sure we can wash those seperate and the rest of her clothes won't matter!" Spirit commanded, "Then put her in!"
Skye nodded and did as she was told, then carefully placed her into the cold water.

Aidan blinked.
"Darkness, calm down. She has reason to be worried..." He muttered. Hopefully the response wouldn't be as violent as he pictured it would be. Then again, he loved Darkness, and she knew that, and hopefully that might influence tranquility.
----------
Steam rose up from the water as Rayne was put in. Raiquen waved it away, worried. If Rayne was hot enough to cause steam, that didn't indicate anything good. But soon the steam ebbed away, and Rayne was able to be seen again.
"We've got to wake her up immediately after the wounds are healed. Who knows what could happen if she stays like this for long enough?"

Darkness had been about to turn around and yell at whoever said that, but when she saw the familiar blue hair and as she recognized his voice, she stayed mostly quiet. Enough to think before she spoke, anyway. She was never able to bring herself to yell at him, no matter how mad she was. Anyone else maybe, but never him.
"...You're right. I guess she does have reason."
-----------
Spirit waved away the steam and opened a window to let it out further. The cold air would hopefully cool her down further as well.
"You're right, we can't leave her unconscious like this. Judging by the amount of steam we're going to need some more cold water in here though, and something to keep it cold. Starlight, keep healing her. My hand still hurts a bit but I'll be able to help in a bit."
Starlight nodded, then crouched down and started to heal her again.
"I'll get Raven then!" Skye cried, trotting out to where her sister, the blue-winged demon, had fallen asleep. It was an empty room, and she'd curled up on the bed with her long brown hair laying askew behind her.
"Wake up!!" she cried.
"Uhh... What IS it...?"
"We need you. Now!"
"Uhhh...?"
It was too late for Raven to object, as Skye had already managed to get her halfway to the bathroom by the time she could.

Aidan breathed a sigh of relief. So it had worked.
"Yes, now come sit down and be calm." He muttered, turning away and staring out of the nearest window. His thoughts drifted away for a bit, until Rhythm came through the door, shivering. The only thing different about him was that his white clothes had been bloodstained.
"It's too freaking cold out there..."
----------
Raiquen kneeled down next to the tub, still quite worried. Why he felt so worried for her, he didn't know. Maybe it was because she stayed with him when he fell through that phase. Then again, she had basically forced him to get away. He just didn't know.

"Yes dear..." Darkness mumbled, proceeding to sit in the chair next to him. That's when Rhythm came in and Zora rose from her seat.
"That was fast." the latter commented. She wasn't going to say anything about the blood on his clothes yet, at least not until someone else brought it up. It might annoy him, and she didn't want that.
----------------
"Let me go I can walk myself!" Raven cried as Skye continued to pull her into the bathroom. Her tail thrashed in objection, but was soon stopped by the sight of Rayne.
"Oh..."
"Yes! We need you to keep that water cooled while Starlight and Spirit here heal her! Don't freeze it, just keep it cold!"
"You got it then." With that, Raven simply sat on the toilet and stuck the tip of her tail into the water. It seemed to freeze around it, but the rest of the water stayed liquid.
"Alright, my hand stopped hurting, so..." Spirit crouched down next to the tub and helped her sister.
