Closed X: The step into other worlds

Desaul stared at Spirit, then laughed slightly.
"You aren't going to let me leave until I say something, will you?" He muttered, shaking his head. Staring at the ground, he sighed and looked behind him.
"That Yvette girl persuaded me to attack. I don't know what it is, but she has some sort of charm..."
----------
Rhythm blinked. She was right. What if there was another explosion? Would it hit the house this time? All these questions floated around in his head, and he just held Zora, trying to focus his thoughts on her.

"Charm my ass." Spirit growled, "She is completely evil and insane. I mean, have you SEEN the place she works out of?! Come on, snap out of it!"
"Oh screw it I'm just going in." Starlight muttered. She flash-stepped once over to Raith, lifted him, and then made a mad dash for the door of the house, where Darkness intercepted her.
"Do you think Spirit will be alright out there?"
"She'll be fine. Now grab some clean bedsheets and follow me!"
-------------
"Oh, I didn't mean to worry you... Come on, we'll be fine..." Zora sighed, nuzzling him softly. It was true that even she herself was worried, but she hadn't meant to scare him or anything.

"Snap out of what?" Desaul asked, "Listen, I don't fall prey to anything easily. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm leaving." and with that, he turned on his heel and stormed off into the white forest.
----------
Rhythm smiled as Zora reassured him. The explosion had stopped, and he had reason to believe that whatever caused it was probably stopped by everyone else.
"You're right...Thanks, Zor." He said, nuzzling her back.

Spirit simply watched him go. It wasn't like she could change his mind.
"Fine. Just go. But when she tries to kill you too, you know where to find us if you're not already dead." and she turned back toward the house sadly.
"C'mon, we're gonna lose him!!" Starlight cried, laying Raith down onto a spare bed. Darkness was busy trying to get everything she'd asked for - ranging from towels to peroxide to bandages to a lime. Yes, a lime.
-------------
"You're welcome..." Zora purred, yawning as she did. Then she smiled and brought herself a little bit closer. The tire in her eyes was evident now, not to mention that she could feel it, but she didn't mind.

Mist blinked at the sad Spirit coming towards the house.
"So...who was the one who attacked Raith? It looked like you knew each other." He asked, when she was close enough.
Raith gasped, indicating he was awake and feeling the pain. Delusional, he reached a hand up and clutched his wound tightly.
----------
Rhythm nuzzled her once more, before going limp again. The last thing he saw before falling to his weariness was Zora's deep green eyes, then he finally fell asleep.

"We do. His name is Desaul, and until now I thought he was a friend." Spirit growled, "He said that... the person who convinced him to attack had some sort of charm. I just wish I knew how to bring him back to our side without killing him..." then she noticed Deax. She shook her head disappointedly.
"Girl don't even try it. He ain't worth it, and given who convinced him to attack he's probably going to end up killed anyway..."
--------------------
"He's alive!!" Starlight screamed. His sudden movement had scared her, and she was clinging to Darkness.
"Get the hell off me! Shouldn't you be healing him?!"
You're right... sorry." she got off of Darkness and crouched by the bedside. What mattered now was getting the bloodflow to stop, and that's exactly what she tried to do as she held Raith's hand down, cast the silver glow on her other one and placed it on the wound.
-----------------
Zora watched him fall asleep, then yawned again.
"Alright then..." she muttered sleepily, resting her head on his shoulder and closing her eyes. She was asleep only a few seconds after that.

Mist watched all this go on without emotion.
"So, Desaul's no longer a friend of ours...Ack, it would have helped if he was a friend. From what that black-haired girl told me during our fight, they're getting more numbers every second." He sighed, sitting down in a chair.
----------
Raith let Starlight heal him, sighing and swaying on the bed.
"There...was something...in that sword..." He muttered, falling back down onto the bed.

"No, I think we might just be able to bring him back." Spirit muttered, "I just need to figure out how. And don't listen to Opal. As far as I know she's full of it. Certainly acts like it, that's for certain."
"Well what do we do then?" Anseyu asked from behind her, making her jump, "I watched that, and he obviously joined them of his free will."
"If what he says is true and you're right then it'll be difficult. I still say they're going to turn around and try to kill him, and then he'll come crying back to us."
-----------------
"Ah, poison... I'd expect them to pull something that dirty and low. Darkness, get me my blood testing kit and antidotes." Starlight mumbled.
Darkness twitched.
"Eh... OK..." she groaned, running off to find the bag.

Mist sighed. What that Opal said was probably true, if a former friend had joined their ranks. He didn't want to bring this up again, though. It was obvious that they would find some way to avoid believing it. Mist stood up, and walked to Rayne's room to check on her.
----------
Raith stayed inanimate for a while, then his breaths became scratchy gasps, as if something was holding his throat. It only lasted for a minute the first time, then he began to breathe normally again.

Spirit sighed depressedly.
"Traitorous bastard..." she sobbed, letting a single tear fall. She eyed Darkness rushing past with the black bag, but she didn't want to interfere. Not when her mind was that full. Even when she knew she should've been helping with Raith, she didn't want to.
"Damn..."
---------------
Darkness ran back in, carrying the black bag and handing it to Starlight, who pulled out a thin black case.
"Thank you Darkness." she muttered, cracking the case open and pulling out a moderately sized hypodermic needle. She then glanced at Raith.
"Alright, this'll be over quick." she rolled up his sleeve and started feeling around for a spot to put the needle in, "Just relax, and don't move your arm. As soon as I do this I'll be able to get you the antidote and you'll be fine."

As soon as Mist walked into the room, he felt arms wrap around him quickly. As his vision returned to him, his saw Rayne clinging to him, whimpering.
"Mist, what were those explosions? They scared the living hell out of me!"
"Uh..." Mist began, not wanting to say anything about Yvette, "Well, they're gone now, and so is what caused them...Listen, you should be laying down."
"I'm fine as is."
----------
Raith desperately tried to relax. The delusion helped him to, but the swaying he couldn't seem to stop. Until he decided to grip onto the bed in order to stop. It had worked significantly, and Raith sighed, waiting for the needle.

Spirit snarled at Deax.
"Listen you little twat! We don't fucking KNOW if he fucking hates any of us! We don't know barely fucking anything about this! Now put the goddamned axe down or... or... Oh, I can't say it!" she clutched her head and groaned. Had this really shaken her that much? She shook it to clear it and sighed again.
"OK, sorry... but seriously... I just can't help but feel that something will bring him back to us... It might be out of our control, but that's what I think... And I sincerely doubt he hates you... Come on, be rational..."
----------------
Starlight had found a place, and as soon as he gripped the bed she stuck him and started to draw out blood. Darkness nearly fainted at this sight, and turned her back to prevent it.
"Ugh, good God..." she groaned.
"Stuff it." Starlight muttered as she removed the needle, now full. She tapped her on the shoulder, and Darkness looked up.
"Huh...?"
"Go wrap up the spot where I did it. I'll get to identifying the poison."
"A-alright..." she did so, but not without swaying nauseously a few times.

"Well, as long as you feel better..." Mist muttered, before he heard Spirit yelling.
"What the hell...?" He muttered, walking out just in time to see Deax leave. He supposed someone had touched a nerve, and so he simply walked back into Rayne's room.
"Bit of a skirmish out there. Wouldn't want to get involved."
"Um, alright..." Rayne muttered, sitting back onto the bed.
----------
Raith glanced at the bandages before his vision started to blur.
"Ugh, what the...?" He muttered, shaking his head and blinking to try and restore it. It didn't work, so he lay back down and closed his eyes.

Spirit again snarled.
"Fine, fuck you too... See how attacking him will seal it, and make him hate you for real..." she growled, turning away.
I just wish I could fix this...
-----------
Starlight looked up at Raith, before pulling a few vials of liquid out of the bag.
"I suppose I'd better hurry then..." she muttered, taking the needle and injecting a bit of the blood sample into each. One began to fizzle, and she held up that vial.
"Darkness, I've identified the poison. I have most of the ingredients for the antidote, but I need you to bring me some plain table salt."
"You got it." and Darkness again jogged out of the room.

Deax turned into a wolf and sniffed the air, trying to get the scent of Desaul.

"You don't want here. Charm? Hah." Deax growled.

Mist closed the door, and sat on a chair. He stared at the ground, lost in thought. Apparently that man, Desaul, had been important to them. It must have been depressing to see him attack Raith, one of their own. As Mist tried to figure out why, Rayne blinked at him.
"Mist, what were those explosions...?" She asked, breaking his train of thought.
"That one girl, that Raith hates..."
----------
Raith lay there quietly, until his breathing became scratchy again. He sat up abruptly and cleared his throat, but it didn't do a single thing. Hoping that Starlight would hurry, he lay back down and tried not to worry.
