Closed X: The step into other worlds

Rayne stared at the picture intently. After a while, she leaned back and smiled again.
"I don't know how you got someone like that. That guy's beautiful." She said, laying back down.
----------
Aidan shrugged, jumping when she touched him.
"I'm jumpy, too...Must be all that wedding stuff..."

"I'm not quite sure either. But hey, he fell for me first." Spirit chuckled, "And to think we met on some old dirt road in the deep south. Mmm, and that accent he's got... love it." she put the picture back into her wallet, which went back into her pocket.
---------------
"Probably is..." Darkness muttered, "I don't blame you..." she continued to fiddle with his hair, sighing boredly.

"Anyone want ice cream?" Jax asked.

(Someone else ask what flavor it is...you probably don't get it...but you will)

"Mmm..." Rayne sighed, and stared up at the ceiling. She wasn't going to ask why Spirit had gone into the deep south anyhow, as that felt like an intrusion of privacy to her. Although it seemed strange. So she simply stared, waiting for something else to come up.
----------
Aidan sighed and stayed immobile for a minute, then moved towards Darkness a bit and rested his head on her shoulder.

"Yup..." Spirit muttered, yawning and stretching in her chair a bit with a smile on her face. Talking about him always made her do that. She however, was also trying to think of a different subject of discussion, since it seemed the one before had ended.
"So..."
-----------------
Darkness continued to play with his hair until he leaned his head on her shoulder. She then wrapped one arm around him and sighed.

Jax decided to finish the joke anyway.

"BOOT TO THE HEAD!!!" she screamed, throwing a boot at the nearest person.

Rayne stayed silent for a moment, stalling to find a topic. When she failed, she sighed and stared up at the ceiling.
"Mmph...I'm out of topics..."
----------
Aidan blinked, and the next thing he saw was a big object coming towards him. He threw his hands in front of his face, but he was a second too late as the boot hit him in the forehead.
"Damn it..." He muttered, holding his head in pain.

"Gah... me too." Spirit groaned, continuing to stare out the window at the snow. She sighed boredly and watched it, just watched it fall.
"Still coming down..."
-----------
Darkness squeaked in surprise, flinching herself as the boot came within half an inch of her face. She heard it hit Aidan and whipped around quickly to face him. She'd take care of the thrower of it later.
"Oh my... That looked like it hurt..."

Rayne followed her gaze out the window, and sighed. As she was just beginning to fall asleep again, Mist walked inside.
"Oh, there you are..." Rayne muttered, stretching as Mist shivered.
"It's gotten colder out there since last time. Not to my liking..." He said, taking a seat.
----------
"It did, quite a lot..." Aidan said, clutching his head in pain. Soon realizing his eyes were closed, he opened them and stood up. Suddenly, his vision went blurry, and a dull pain rose in his head, forcing him to sit down.
"Ow..."

"Mine either." Spirit muttered. Sure the snow was pretty, but it was the cold that came with it that was dismaying. She shivered involuntarily at the thought of the cold weather, and sighed.
-----------------
Darkness had watched interestedly, then when he seemed to have to sit back down she became increasingly concerned.
"Aidan..." she whispered, "Are you alright...?"

Mist rubbed his arms, trying to warm himself up. It helped slightly, but he was still cold. Giving up, he laid back in his chair lazily, and stared out the window.
----------
"I'm fine...Stood up too quickly, I suppose." Aidan replied, standing up again. And again, his vision blurred, and the pain formed in his head. Falling back down in his chair, he removed his hand and blinked as he saw blood.
"Damn..." He muttered, trying to figure out where the injury was.

Spirit stood up and stretched.
"Errh..." she moaned, "Been sitting for too long..." she visibly flinched as a small crack was heard, and sat back down. It didn't last long though, as she stood again a second later.
"I'm going to get something to eat. You guys want anything?"
--------------
Darkness gasped. Blood was not a good sign.
"Oh God, oh... Starlight!!"
"What?" Starlight muttered, poking her head out from the kitchen. A french fry was hanging out of her mouth, as if she had been in the middle of gorging herself when called. Darkness simply groaned and pointed at Aidan.
"I don't see anythi-" she cut off as she saw the blood, "Oh."

"Eh, I'm good." Mist said, sitting up in a tired manner.
"Nothing to eat, but would you mind getting me some water? I'm parched." Rayne said, continuing to stare at the ceiling.
----------
Aidan cursed, still feeling around for the injury. As he brushed his eye, he flinched in pain, then came to a horrible realization. The boot hadn't hit his forehead like he had thought, it had hit his eye. The blood was flowing out from a cut under his eye, but his eye had gotten the most of the impact.

"You got it." Spirit then walked out of the room and down the hallway toward the kitchen. She eyed the scene with Aidan, but didn't give it much thought as she went into the room and began searching around for the glasses.
Starlight reached up toward the cut, having already cast the silver glow. It was clear that his eye had gotten the brunt of the impact, since the area around it was already starting to turn bruised and purple.
"You can fix this, can't you...?" Darkness moaned. Starlight could see the tears coming down her face.
"I should be able to. He'll need to keep it protected until tomorrow though." she muttered, "Hopefully this'll numb it to my touch too so he won't feel me healing it." With that, she lightly placed her hand to his eye and the cut under it.

Mist stretched out across the chair, sighed, and soon fell asleep soundly. Rayne, however, was not feeling all that tired anymore. She was soon engulfed by the thought of Yvette coming here to try and take them out again. It was quite annoying, trying to get rid of the thought then having it just pop up in your mind again. Rayne sighed, and just stared at the ceiling, trying to clear her thoughts.
----------
Aidan flinched at Starlight's touch, but soon he could feel it no more. If only he had been a second quicker, and this wouldn't have happened. He worried that the injury could cause permanent damage to his eye, or even blindness, even with Starlight's healing. Sighing, he decided that he would wait until whatever would happen happened.

Spirit eventually found the glasses, then filled one with some water from the tap. Then a beeping noise sounded from behind her, and she opened the door to a toaster oven and pulled out a plate. With her hands now full, she jogged back to the room they had been in and set the glass of water on the table next to Rayne.
"There you are." she stated, sitting down in a nearby chair and beginning to eat what was on her plate.
----------
Starlight looked at Darkness once before turning back to her healing. Darkness was sobbing, and she had to be worried to be crying like that. Eventually, she took her hand off.
"It should be fixed now, but here..." she picked up a piece of fabric off of the nearby ground and tied it around his head so it protected his eye.
"You should wear that for at least a few hours so it'll be for sure that it heals completely. Other than that you should be fine now."
Darkness didn't even reply, just clung to his hand desperately.

"Ah, thanks." Rayne said, sitting up and taking a large drink of water. Saving the rest of the water for later, she laid back down. She stared at the ceiling, not rid of those thoughts, before finally falling asleep.
----------
"Alright, thanks." Aidan said to Starlight, before turning to Darkness.
"My hand's gone numb, can you loosen up? I'll be fine." he sighed, partially because he didn't know that, "Besides, it's not life-threate
