Closed X: The step into other worlds

"He just called me...pathetic..." the stammer had turned into a snarl. Perhaps she had forced herself a bit too hard, because the next time she looked up, her hair had changed into the white highlights and her eyes had gone blank. Rising out of the bed, she roared before gripping her sword so tight you could hear her knuckles crack and rocketing out of the room into the open door.
---------
Darkness's head snapped up.
"Say what?!" that's when she heard the crashes, "Oh God..." she turned to where Spirit had been, but she had already run off to the room just in time to see Zora slam into him with intense ferocity.
"Harm her and you die!! We'll just see who's the pathetic one!!!" Zora screamed, her voice also drastically different.
"No..." Spirit choked, as Starlight, Darkness, Kirita and Raven rounded the corner.
"We have to calm them down somehow! They'll kill each other, and the day before they're to be married!" Starlight yelled to her sister.
"I know all that!! The question is, how?!"

Rhythm fell forward, catching himself with his hands, and pushing himself back up to his feet. Opal had slipped out of the room, but he didn't mind. This one looked more entertaining. But there was a crowd growing, and he didn't want spectators. Backing up, he kicked the window and broke it, smiled, then jumped out and launched into the air. Aidan came around just in time to see this, and he groaned.
"Great...Perfect timing..."

Deax turned into a wolf and tried to pounce on Rhythm.

That is your soon-to-be-wife, genius.... Deax snarled.

Zora roared again, before darting out thew window and running straight up a nearby tree to catch him. When she reached his level, she dove from the tree while swinging her sword wildly.
Darkness blinked in realization as she pulled back Deax.
"He might not be such a genius for being so willing to fight her, but YOU are. You just trucked me an idea that might work! Don't attack, I'm gonna need you! Everyone! We should be able to monitor the fight from the front room! Follow me! And that means everyone!" with that, she darted away. Spirit and Starlight shrugged and followed, a confused Kirita behind them.

Rhythm turned around at the sound of rustling, barely blocking a large slash from Zora. She didn't look like she was going to go down easily. He landed cautiously, then waited for another attack. Rhythm could already feel that this was going to end badly.
----------
"What do you want us in here for?" Aidan asked, "We could be out there, disabling their chance to kill each other! Monitoring isn't going to help, in my opinion."

Zora landed in a cat-like poise, her blank eyes not leaving him. She knew it could possibly end badly, but what if he tried to kill her? She would NOT let that happen. She stood straight again, watching with her cold gaze for an attack. When one didn't come, she lunged.
-------------
"Aidan, don't get ahead of me." Darkness growled, "We need to split off into teams. That way, if one becomes unable to keep them from killing each other, we can bring them back in for a healing and send another group out at the same time. That's why we need to monitor it." she watched cautiously. She'd had an idea back there, but now she was beginning to doubt it would work.
"Yes, but what do we do about calming them down?!" Spirit asked furiously.
"I don't know..." Darkness muttered, "Until one of us thinks of something, you and Raven go out and try and keep them from killing each other!"
Spirit grunted indignantly, then jumped onto the demon's back while slamming her staff into the ground. Raven proceeded to fly out through the broken window just in time for them to get directly in front of Zora's lunge. with one swing of Spirit's massive sword, she was deflected and fell back.
"What the... What are you doing?!"

Rhythm stared in astonishment for a moment, before finally gaining some sense. This fight was pointless. He could at least try to tolerate Opal. He had done so when they were in love. These thoughts were in the back of his mind, the berserker still taking control of him. He then realized that he needed to get out of this state now, before it took him over completely. Rhythm groaned, trying to take in all this at once.
----------
Aidan sighed. He had been quite snappy these last few days, and he wasn't sure why. Right now, Rhythm and Zora were the main problem, but even then, he felt like he couldn't participate in the calming. He turned around and went down the hallway, passing up Raith as he made his way down. Raith took no notice, eventually floating into the large room.
"What's with all the yelling?"

As soon as she spoke, Raven's tail slammed into Zora as she tried to get to a safe distance quickly, sending her flying into the tree she had run up earlier.
"Oops..." Raven groaned as Zora screamed and her eyes faded back to their normal green.
"That... what...?" Spirit muttered cluelessly as she watched the redhead fall into a slump at the base of the tree.
"Uuhhh..." Zora could feel her sense returning somewhat. But, it was hard to breathe after hitting the tree so hard, hard to move. This was pointless. Why had she even changed? This in mind, she looked up with pleading eyes before finally falling limp and gasping desperately from the impact. Maybe he had thought the same thing.
------------
"That didn't look good..." Darkness groaned. She'd seen Aidan go down the hallway, but she wasn't going to bother him. No, that would be a bad idea. So instead she turned to Raith as he came out.
"There's um... been an incident."

Rhythm was still fighting the berserker. It was nearly overpowering him, but he didn't want to give in now. The berserker could seriously harm them. His berserker side raised his sword, wanting to attack, but he wouldn't let it. His side was losing power, but Rhythm had a last ditch attempt. Reluctantly, he let his berserker side win over, and he charged the small group. But right before he reached them, Rhythm pushed out his last amount of energy.
"Zora...Injured...No..." he muttered, before losing over to the berserker.
----------
"An incident?" Raith asked, gripping his halberd tightly. Although he was in no shape to fight, he was still concerned.
"What kind of incident?"

"He's fighting it..." Spirit whispered, "We need to help him get out of it! Seems like he's been fully taken over for now, but I can do this! We need to keep him away from her, and I can't break eye contact for this!" she lifted her sword into a defensive position, and Raven flew in front of the injured Zora, now unconscious and breathing faintly. As Spirit glanced over, she noted that she was now completely normal again, then turned to Rhythm and stared him straight in the eye as she passed her blade to Raven. She wouldn't be able to defend and do this at the same time herself anyway.
Come on Spirit... You can get through to his real side... Just keep staring him down...
---------
"Look outside and see for yourself..." Darkness gulped, pointing at the window. She then turned to watch it herself.
"What is she doing...?"

Raven glared at Deax. She doubted it would help him snap out of it, but anything was worth a shot. With that, her gaze shot up to Spirit, who appeared focused on keeping eye contact with Rhythm in order to subdue and hypnotize the berserker so he could break free. At least, that's what Raven assumed she was doing as she raised the huge sword into a defensive position and flew in front of the unconscious redhead.
---------
Starlight approached the door slowly. Darkness eyed her.
"What are you doing?!" she asked frantically.
"...Nothing." Starlight snorted. She had intended to get Zora and bring her in before she froze to death, but had decided against it and would wait instead.

Rhythm stared straight back at Spirit, growling. Soon, however, he stopped at seemed to be mesmerized by the stare. Moaning, Rhythm felt everything turning back to normal, his hair returning to it's normal length, the scars fading away, and his eyes turning to the normal blue. Rhythm fell to one knee, using his sword so he wouldn't fall over.
----------
Raith stared out the window, blinking. This was quite interesting to watch, seeing as he hadn't seen Rhythm like this before. Finally, he turned away and sat down in a chair, quiet.

Raven, staring in astonishment, handed the sword back to Spirit as she jumped off. Spirit retracted the sword and trotted over to Rhythm as she saw the door open a crack.
"You gonna be OK after all that?"
Meanwhile, Starlight had opened the door. Seeing Spirit succeed, she figured now would be a perfect time to go get Zora in before she froze to death or got sick. So she flash-stepped out and lifted her up, glancing over at her sister.
"I'm taking her in to see how bad she got hit."
"Alright..."

Deax turned human.

"I'll lead him in." she said, beads of sweat all over her, even though it was freezing, "Ick! All these nerves made me SWEAT!"

Spirit then glanced up at Deax as Starlight took Zora inside.
"Nono, if he needs help then I'll do it." she muttered, turning back to Rhythm and waiting for an answer.
-----------
Once inside, Starlight lay the redhead on a chair and sighed as she watched her inhale weakly.
"Looks like she got slammed into that tree pretty hard..." she muttered as Raven flew in the door. Starlight gave her a scathing look. She knew it was an accident, but it seemed appropriate.

Rhythm took a deep breath, then heaved himself up to his feet. Although he felt extremely exhausted, he thought he would be able to make it into the house.
"I think I'll be fine..." He muttered, starting to walk.
