Well I'm not that good at scratching either. Only small details and pixel art on occasion.
You're gonna want to start with the outline though, then erase any of the original sprite that's within the boundaries after you've got that.

Erm. I might look into joining the RSP, buuut I've had a bad experience with joining RPs late. My character could set a building on fire, or knock a wall down, and the others would just pass by and pretend it just destroyed itself. So. >_>
Yeah... I can ^ ^ See, Iris, Halan's mum, has a Raven, and Jystiia, Halan's sister (and Xhan's mum) has a Falcon... And the birds emerge faster in the women, so Xhan's would still be a baby~ And it adopts an emotion that makes it up, like Halan's is anger, Jystiia's is love, etc.
