• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • just you wait until I get facade back though......... assuming I stay alive that long, and also assuming you don't immediately lock it back up
it's probably the only reason I'm still hanging on with roughly equal health to you tbh
normally I have a shortcut to gpx saved as if it were an app in my phone, so I can just click it the same way I click facebook and stuff. but the server update made that not work and also made the main mobile landing page not work, so I would have to remember the URL to one of the other mobile pages and type it in my web browser, which I'm just not bothered enough to do, so I effectively just don't use the mobile site

ultimately I decided that even if having two sets of calcs done would make me feel like I was making progress, it would be better to tangibly make progress that others can see so I just finished up the tourney round and posted it
status update on trying to push out two reffings at once: done with tourney battle calcs, currently procrastinating on deciding whether to do the actual writing now or do the calcs for lotf vs lilycolo

on the one hand, woohoo, calcs are easy and fun and I would get to do more of them, instant gratification, etc. on the other hand, after that I would have two whole rounds' worth of writing to do in a row
oh yeah! will do asap :D

(I used to get 30+ levels from my commute, but my phone stopped being able to work with the mobile site when it moved to a new server last month. so no more mobile walker for me :(... and yeah, just priming is fine, you don't need to also activate it once)
Nah, not overwhelmed at all. Just feeling unreasonably guilty about a battle in which one of the participants hasn't even logged in in almost two weeks.

(Yeah, I know. Scavenger hunts seem like they're always either ridiculously hard or, like, "Get 1 Trinket today." :P)
... Oh, right, it was sleep. I don't remember that but that does sound ridiculous.
omg I just set aside some time today to get to the LotF/Lilycolo reffing I've been putting off for more than a week (whoops) (but Lilycolo hasn't been online since giving commands so it's not like putting it off has done any harm) and now suddenly my tournament battle is ready to be reffed again
Also I can't find the Speed conversation you're talking about, but I sort of remember talking about something like that?
... Oh wait why don't I just do some Git juggling and push just the one commit. That makes more sense.
Done! It'll be a day or two before I push the battles reffed thing though because I'm in the middle of cleaning up the entire CSS and I want to sit on these commits for a bit so I don't end up having to push a bunch of followup "unbreak this one thing" commits.
Various stupid reasons, but basically, my plan boiled down to squeezing a nice career out of it so I could use the money and freedom to get around to doing something I actually wanted to do. Didn't pan out so well as I started to run in to problems that had less to do with "I don't want to do this" and more to do with "I can't actually do this".
Whoops, I parsed that as (remind me (to reblog that a million times in ~5 hours)) when you meant it as (remind me (to reblog that a million times) in ~5 hours), I think?
Feels kind of bad considering all the people who don't have the luxury, but, hell yeah.
Nope. Quality public education at college level!

... Rapidly descending quality, but I can take it while it's still hot!
Yes, although, technically, staying in law would probably have required some extra years in order to weed out all the stuff I failed.
It's still not a done deal, but I'll try out psychology for starters.
I am attempting to switch, yes (not to literature studies, though; I mean, that was on the table before, but only because out here literature studies and linguistics are stuck in the same bag).
