• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Post if you can and please don't forget it :/

    Yeah just a reminder.
Probably better than cutting down a tree, but that's what Christmas tree farms are for, I guess.
Yes, a real tree. I like real trees much more than fake ones. They smell better, and look cool. :3
I am fine as always. I can never find anything interesting to reply with. I finally got around to putting ornaments on the tree.
I'm notorious for joining roleplays and then never posting, so I doubt I'll join. (Don't let me in.) Good luck.
Awesome, thank you; Im home from uni and am having much fun catching up with my family and friends. And I absolutely cannot wait till Christmas; how about you? Are you staying at home or going away for the holidays?
I'm fine! I was just at a boat parade- it was really fun. It was apparently the hundredth anniversary, so they're having fireworks later, but I'm not staying for that because it's late. :) Well, I was away from the computer for a while and left the screen on this- still no sounds of fireworks outside. Merry early Christmas, I guess. What have you been doing lately? I have spending lots of time on Diamond, and I mean LOTS. Creepy, really.
    Still pretty good... :)
Looks like there will be a bit of a storm where I live. Not a major one by any stretch of imagination, but it might rain and there's quite a lot of wind right now. While I was on a bike ride, I was afraid that it would start to rain abruptly and ruin the ride.
And now my dad is really angry at who won the football trophy. *rolls eyes*
He's really angry. God, be happy for the guy instead of yelling at the guy while he gives his "Thank you" speech. He's gotten me in a bad mood. I'm sick of it. It's just a stupid football match, I don't care! I don't care if he lost a game and you don't think it's fair, you aren't the judge and stop bitching to my mom.
    *eyeroll*
Gasp! You don't know Watership Down? Oh, you are missing out. It's a really sweet (horribly sexist, but I'll overlook it because I enjoyed it so much as a kid) and slightly dark book about a group of rabbits, one of whom has a preminition of the fields in which they live being covered in blood, so they journey to try and find a new place to live and encounter all kinds of aggressive wild animals and humans and it's really, really sad at the end ):
It's most famous for having Simon and Garfunkel's Bright Eyes plyed at the end of the movie adaption.

I knooow I shouldn't sleep in so late, but I absolutely hate my alarm clock )<
The worst bit's when I sleep through lectures. I need so stop doing that.
The Little Prince... was that the one that was originally in French and has the elephant that gets eaten by a boa constrictor, or am I thinking of something completely different?
I don't know anything about the Warriors books, except they have cats in. One day I'll read them, but at the moment I imagine them to be like Watership Down only with cats instead of rabbits.

I'm sleeping so much because I stay up stupidly late (right now it's gone 3:30am) and then compensate by oversleeping the next day (tday I woke up at about 4pm); except it doesn't work when I have an early start because of lectures and things. I'm just silly :)
College is... well, I'm sleeping a lot. More than I should. I've got essays, but I'm (mostly) keeping on top of them, so it's not too bad. And I get to go home soon, which should be great; I haven't seen my family since September and I miss them ):

I read The World Unseen by Shamim Sarif the other day and it was really great; it was set in South Africa during the apartheid, which was really interesting, and now I'm partway through The Married Man by Edmund White (I read too much gay literature), but making slow progress because I don't have much free time. Have you been reading recently?
