Plesiomon, by any chance?
My first exposure to Digimon was Digimon World Dusk. It's a cool game~ Just today I beat ExoGrimmon for the third time, though that isn't saying much considering I've had the game for a little over a year.
If you're able to, you should really watch some of the anime. The only two seasons I've watched in their entirety are 3 and 5, Tamers and Data Squad, and I love Tamers (3). I don't normally watch much, let alone any, anime, but this I have.
