  • Meh, I'm not big on doing stuff with my hair. We have a mutual hateful relationship.

Well, it keeps me entertained, anyway!
I know, I saw. It looks nice! Green is ever the color I would dye my hair if I were going to go for something non-natural.

I also love the perspective on that zebstrika.
Well, she was already dead. Uck, and Maggie "I hit a big vein." No shit! Holy crap, what did she think she was doing? Carving a turkey?

But Carl, oh geeez, and the flashback to the barn.
Well, all they did was trade in the black guy. Now they let the convict in.

Geez the sneak peak for next week looked completely undescribable. Was that Rick locked up and going crazy?

Carl is turning into a badass. A mini Rick, with a little Shane, and a bit of Glenn, all rolled up in a eleven year old.
Agreed on all. His acting was so amazing. Just seeing him fall to the ground.. Ack, soo much feels.

And T-Dog! They killed the black guy! T was so cool too. Clearing the prison with a shield and a spear... thingy. He was rocking it like Leonidas. Now he's... dammit.

I'm wanting to smack Andrea. Seriously. GET OUT.

I wonder how they're going to feed the baby? No milk... and I'm pretty sure prisons don't keep formula handy.

So much is different from the comics.

EDIT: Also that one inmate... with the mustache. Seriously, how can a guy with that amazing of a mustache be evil?
Hmm, it's sort of hard to describe. It has some journeyfic elements (a couple of badges in there, etc.), but it's not really about that at all. You'll see soon enough.
Yeah, neither dialga or magmortar was around at the time. The design isn't too exciting; it's really just this big, armored dragon with skarmory-like metal wings and a similar sort of beaky helmet. It's quadrupedal, with a fifth paw on the end of its tail, which is all mangled-like for story reasons.
Uh, sometimes I do. Less so since starting graduate school.

    "Skarmortar." It's a steel/dragon-type.

No, certainly not. In the context the story takes place in, it's just a reasonably good bet. If you had a ghost/dark friend, you would probably be pretty safe from polphades.

    no i refuse >:/
Yeah, sorry about that. I'm very reliable about everything but timing, really. And the series really just got increasingly silly from that point on; I didn't even mention the third 'fic in the little postscript there because its concept was just so dumb (space invaders!). But ah, well. Sometimes I toy with the idea of doing little vignettes featuring the characters from whatever 'fic at some point in the future, but at least for the moment I'm really just done with them. We'll see.

Polphades are pretty weird. I'm not even sure where they came from. But unfortunately, a ghost/dark wouldn't save you from them, seeing as they're half ghosts and therefore eeevil...

Well they could have the option to completely change url's if you wanted to, or just change your alias if you're feeling like you wanted a new and entertaining username instead, which is the primary reason most people seem to move around all the time. >>
Haha, yeah. I maintain that tumblr should have some perma-name url that remains constant no matter how much people change their display url. But I know they want everybody to sign up for their service so they can graciously keep track of that for them...

sry. I didn't know that, no! I didn't even know who made the movie. :P I'm not really a huge movie buff, can't even recognize most of the celebrities that star in them.

It will definitely be up tomorrow, no worries.
Heh, well, it should go up this weekend I think? We'll see.

Ah, guess I should have clarified that, then... I only like the first one. XD I've watched the other two, of course, but while they did add a lot of interesting depth to the setting and expand the universe quite a bit, I thought they were poorly overdone overall. The romance subplot especially more or less ruined everything. But of course I enjoy all the twistiness and weirdness.
Yeah, I haven't read my own story in so long that a lot of people no doubt know it better than me now. One of the serious disadvantages of writing a long, drawn-out WIP.

Haha, how do you feelings. Hitting stuff is easier.

Congrats on your surgery, by the way! Hope you have a fast recovery.
Heh, I don't honestly remember. You've read the story a lot more recently than I have, heh. As for Accemenla, I dunno, she can be pretty mean, but I don't know if I would call her nasty. She's pretty bitter about her situation and she's bought into Waytar's psychic privilege rather hard, but she is just trying to do what she thinks is right. I'm sure she would always be a bit vain and snappish even if she were around people and pokémon that she liked, but a lot of her acting out is just because she's suffering, in her own way, on Tobias's journey.

But I'm probably biased into liking her more than a reader might be because she's loads of fun to write. :)
It's true, I'd probably get along better with pokémon than I do with people. I still think they'd be a lot to handle, though. :P

Well, maybe it'll happen someday? (re: lighthouse challenge)

He sold all of his stuff when he was flipping the fuck out over going back to Waytar and needing all the supplies... not the smartest move, maybe, but Tobias is kind of a Bad Decisions Bear. Overheat would probably be useful, but most of the TM's he got from Johto gyms were... not. (Fury cutter much?) I admit that I wasn't even thinking of the attract TM from Whitney's gym, though, because if Tobias had taught that to Jinx it would have been the best thing ever.
Eh, I guess I wasn't clear--I wasn't expecting basic feeding/grooming/etc care to be the bulk of the commitment, but rather the amount of time you'd need to devote to actually working with the pokémon, whether training them or simply trying to teach them other skills, and generally interacting with them and building a relationship. I'm probably unusual in the low number of relationships I can devote a meaningful amount of attention to at any given time, but at least for many people, I think, it would be exhausting to maintain very close relationships with a half-dozen people, with you in the role of caretaker/moderator (although some trainer/team dynamics wouldn't necessarily fall out that way, which would be cool).

I mean, I think it would kind of be like having kids of a preeteen-teenage-ish sort of age. They can more or less take care of themselves (though getting them to do so may be difficult), but you still have a lot of responsibility to them and need to devote a lot of time to interacting with them in one way or another, if you aren't a bad parent. In some ways raising pokémon would be much less complicated, yes, but I still shudder at the thought of six kids, much less more! (Plus most trainers are pre-teens/teens themselves and probably not very used to the responsibility of caring for adorable little murdercreatures!)

But a lot of it does depend on your approach to the trainer/pokémon relationship; my characters tend to have fewer pokémon in a large part because they more or less relate to pokémon the way I would, with the exception of a few who behave differently because their world doesn't work like what I consider the "standard" pokémon world does.
Tch. I'm sure whatever "expert" said that had never taken a beating from more than three electrical attacks in a single round!
