I firmly believe that all life should be given a chance.

So the kid won't live until three. Let them live until three. Who knows what could happen.

So the kid lives in a crappy household. Loads of people grew up in crappy households and still managed to run regular lives.

If they are sent to an orphanage, they'll turn 18 someday.

Growing up with no love, knowing only loathing, can make a person snap, and then they do things that we later see on Forensic Files. Jeffery Dahmer was neglected as a child; he became a cannibal.
