More rattled than ever, the citizens of ASB Central shuffled back to their homes--or, those that were hiding out somewhere else in the night in hopes of evading the Mafia's attention set out to their lurking-points instead. As the sun went down, Kusarigamaitachi at last woke with an undignified sort of snort and, rather perplexed as to how it ended up passed out on a park bench, stumbled off into the dusk.
As ever with the threat of death looming over their heads, the trainers of the ASB league found the night interminably long, waiting anxiously for the sunrise and yet terrified of what ill news it might shed light upon.
When at last the blare of the alert system went off, calling all to another agonizing town meeting, the living trainers dragged themselves unhappily to the square, where they found that Byrus' body had been taken down and the statue cleaned. As ever, roll was taken, the innocents waiting with dread for that awful long silence after a name was called and it was discovered that one among them was gone.
The moderator reached the end of their list, however, without pronouncing a single person absent. Perplexed, they read it through again, with the same result. A shocked murmur ran through the crowd. All who had returned to their homes the previous night had returned alive today...
