ASB Mafia: Day III

More rattled than ever, the citizens of ASB Central shuffled back to their homes--or, those that were hiding out somewhere else in the night in hopes of evading the Mafia's attention set out to their lurking-points instead. As the sun went down, Kusarigamaitachi at last woke with an undignified sort of snort and, rather perplexed as to how it ended up passed out on a park bench, stumbled off into the dusk.

As ever with the threat of death looming over their heads, the trainers of the ASB league found the night interminably long, waiting anxiously for the sunrise and yet terrified of what ill news it might shed light upon.

When at last the blare of the alert system went off, calling all to another agonizing town meeting, the living trainers dragged themselves unhappily to the square, where they found that Byrus' body had been taken down and the statue cleaned. As ever, roll was taken, the innocents waiting with dread for that awful long silence after a name was called and it was discovered that one among them was gone.

The moderator reached the end of their list, however, without pronouncing a single person absent. Perplexed, they read it through again, with the same result. A shocked murmur ran through the crowd. All who had returned to their homes the previous night had returned alive today...

Wait... So this means Music Dragon (R) was targeted.... SO DON'T KILL THEM, WHOEVER THEY ARE! OTHERWISE THEY WILL UNLEASH OVER-9000 POWER AT US! (That sounds weird-ish. I don't know why.)
Anyways, I have no leads on anyone to nominate, though I do slightly suspect Icalasari... I might nominate him later.

Also ty if you used Wish on me because I might've needed it. It makes sense that the Mafia tried to silence me with Grasswhistle so they could kill off one or two other potential threats and then get to me. While simultaneously frustrating me with my inability to speak, the evil bastards.

That doesn't mean MD(r) isn't lurking somewhere, though it does mean I'm going to be less careful about it. 'sides, Wish might've blocked a kill on someone else too. I'm hardly the only person who talks.

So... about the previous day. I'm curious about why ECM was voted off. I found him more convincing than Icalasari. Yeah, there's a fairly large chance that ECM was wrong, but his logic was stronger. I invite anyone who voted for him to explain their reasoning (though I don't expect much to come from that). I suppose the argument that he's new and inexperienced would appeal to others who are also new and inexperienced, but that shouldn't have been that strong.

So it's pretty obvious that I suspect Icalasari over anyone else, because, well, there's anything at all to support the accusation at all.

And the reasons for this have been stated in Day II's thread; I'm not bothering to repeat it here since you can see for yourself. And that might encourage more people to read through all the posts in the thread, possibly picking up something new; surely that would be beneficial for discussion.

(Hmm? I was asleep and therefore could not have seen it? Well... you were in my dreams. Really.)

I don't suspect Icalasari... though I'm not sure who to suspect. Day three and it seems we haven't gotten anywhere farther.

Though I guess the death count has evened out to one a day.

Well, there's a chance that Music Dragon has been activated, or maybe a healer just got lucky. Either way, we have another day to speculate...

Maybe we should stop looking at whose doign the nominating, and instead start thinking like the Mafia would...It's just a thought, but that might help us prepare or find somethign suspicious.

Well let's think, the mafia obviously is trying to take down the members with the most experience. So it seems as if we're looking at an experienced mafia member who knows who has had experience at this game.

Alright. Kusari is back and not dead, hurrah.
Now...
Main suspicion is Icalasari, and to a (much) lesser extent, Chiropter. This round is probably gonna be Icalasari's death, unless he has a really good reason to not die, or something really stupid happens.

About MD... there's always the chance that MD is dead, on top of Wish. I doubt that MD has been activated, but I could be wrong.

I doubt it would be "experienced at the game" so much as "seems smart and willing to talk". Someone wouldn't need to have played a single Mafia game here before to know that Kratos might be the one to figure them out first, whether he ever played before or not. If they were familiar with him, they'd probably label him as "smart" and decide that he should die first, before he can say anything. Byrus, too (assuming he was killed by mafia; Kusari(r) is more likely to use slashing weapons, right, but it probably only matters that it's sufficiently bloody, and I think Byrus's was).

... of course they might also be going after everyone whose usernames match the Mafia roles (should I say goodbye?), but that could just be coincidence.

Also, you don't need to join a game to read it and figure out who's good at it and stuff. Someone might've just been glancing through the pre-crash games and seeing if it wanted to join. But even that's not needed imo.

Which basically brings us right back to where we started: no leads, except for stuff from the previous days.
