Mostly Ghostly
'K- Kupo pu kopu..' Sonja muttered to herself, shuffling about a bit. Her ears were stiff and ringing, and eyes clenched shut. The last thing she remembered was clinging to Thalia before a loud bang and-
'Thalia, Kupo?!' The Moogle screeched, opening her eyes and darting her vision about even before it had cleared. Before long, she looked up - the the sight of a towering Bangaa supporting her, apparently delegated her care, and Thalia's.
With a sigh, she picked herself up, tugging the Bangaa's armour slightly to pull herself with. She was left somewhat breathless, though - the cart was.. gone. A charred mess. She looked at her hands - they were covered in burns and splinters, as were her arms and sides. Her hearing was only just clearing, but she couldn't make out if anyone was saying anything yet - but it wasn't over. Hobbling over to Thalia, she put a hand on the Nu Mou's arm. Thalia herself was still out, and looking to be in just as bad shape.
'T- Thalia.. Kupo... I'm...... I should have done better, kupopo..'
Sonja felt awful - she should have known what happened in clans. Even still, her mission was to protect this girl, which she had already panicked and failed. Thalia wasn't meant for this type of thing.
Carefully, Sonja patted down her sides, checking for what was left - which is to say, not much. Besides her wounds, she had dropped her gun inside the cart before it exploded, by now it was just part of the heap. Her heart sunk and she pulled a pair of knives she still had on her from her pockets. One of them had blood on it, probably cutting through the pockets during the explosion and making her cringe a bit. Still, they were nothing substantial, and she could start to hear continued gunshots and screaming from the woods. She took a look around - the ground was littered with corpses, but by now that was the least of her worries. More important was their gear - yet, none had been carrying Fusilier arms, and at this range it was mostly axes and swords, various Melee implements.
She wasn't too picky - but most of these hunks of metal she couldn't even lift. Seeq preferred solid chunks of smashing goodness, and Humes could just downright handle more weight - but at least one blade on the ground caught her eye. It was oddly separated from most viable users, and the hilt itself felt slightly damp with blood.. a bit disturbing, really - but even if it took a bit of effort to lift, it was better than some throwing daggers.
(Oh dear gods my posts are terribad ;-; and short compared to everyone elses argh)
