(Yes I know the name is really bad - feel free to suggest something else)
As a student of Joseph Fredrickson High School, in the city of Alorton, you never though something like this could happen to you. How could you suddenly transform yourself into this creature that you are. Why did this happen, and how are you going to keep this under wraps - after all do you really want the whole school to know you're a freak?
But there is a darker underside to all this. Suddenly more of these creatures are showing up, attacking for no reason, and it's down to you to prevent it. There are also strange men, who can keep these creatures in small orbs and use them at their command. This sounds a lot like that TV show, Pokémon, that used to be big a few years ago, but that wasn't real.
Was it?
OK, now down to the RP itself. You are one of 16 students who have been granted the ability to transform into a pokémon, each of a different type, and you must save the real world from the bad guys.
Simple, right.
Except you don't know anything about saving the world, only that you need to avoid looking like an utter freak. The guy who knows you need to save to world is looking for you, but you don't want him to find out about you - you don't want anyone to find out about you.
Rules:
1) The standard common sense things, like no Godmoding, Mary Sues, Powerplaying, character control ect. that you really shouldn't need repeating. If you do there are a couple of threads about this already, which go into far more detail than I can, so read those. Basically, if you'd be annoyed at what your character does if they weren't your character, don't do it. Also don't do anything to a character you didn't create without permission.
2) You may only have one of the 16 'Elemental Guardian' students, but you may create as many NPCs as you need to represent their friendship group/teachers and such. They don't need forms, just describe them in the text, but if you want to do a form for, say, their absolute best friend then feel free. Note that these characters are, however, secondary and as such shouldn't be doing too much in the story.
Please tell everyone whether or not others can control NPCs you create. It's your call, but let us know
3) This RP takes place in a generic English-speaking country. Characters from other places are allowed, although they shouldn't be the majority. When posting, use whatever nouns you feel most comfortable with, but expect variation. Currency is in non-specific dollars.
4) You are in the real world. Pokémon are characters in video games and a TV show, and so don't exist, although you may be aware of them. You're character's awareness/thoughts on pokémon will have no impact on what (if any) powers they get.
5) Due to the nature of the powers, there is only one representative of each type. Ideally there would be a full line of pokémon purely of that type, but this doesn't always apply so use the following guide:
6) No legendaries. Not every type has them, so to be fair to everyone no-one can be one.
7) Uniforms are a black or grey jacket and trousers/skirt (female students get a choice), a white shirt and the school tie, which can come in a number of sedate (so mid to dark blues/greens/reds ect. rather than garish pinks and such) colours. Outside of school there are no restrictions.
8) Skipping years doesn't happen. Full stop. Students occasionally may skip a year or two of a single subject, but this is unlikely to be the case for more than 1-2 students a year. Conversely, it would take someone who makes Ralph Wiggum look intelligent to be held back a year.
9) Because of the limits, I will allow reservations, but all reservations last 24 hours before expiry, unless otherwise agreed with me. However it would be considerate not to take a type that someone else has a recently expired reservation on if you'd be just as happy with another.
10) Classes of enemy (pokémon, Aurora Grunt ect.) will be introduced by me, after which new opponents in that class may be created by anyone.
11) Genderless pokémon are permitted, but your choice of pokémon cannot cause your gender to change from male to female or vice versa (again, if you can come up with a very good reason then I may make an exception)
12) Years are counted from 1st year (11-12), to 7th year (17-18). If in doubt, think of Hogwarts.
Character Form (Clean version below):
Name: (You will need a last name for this, as you're in a school, so other players may need to refer to it. If you're stuck, trades (e.g baker) and adding s/son to male names can help)
Age: (11-18, exceptions by request.)
Year: (1-7, with 11-12 year olds in first year, 12-13 in second year, 13-14 in third year and so on. I intend to set the opening of the RP in November (subject to change), in case you want to be specific about birthdays or something.)
Gender:
Type:
Pokémon: (Try to tie the evolution to the age of the character. An 18 year old as a Starly and an 11 year old Dragonite won't mix, so don't create one, unless you have a very good reason.)
Appearance: (In human form. Please give a written description. If you want to show me what his/her odd fashion or whatever looks like, then do that, but link, and if you say they look like a person in an image how are they different. Also any odd markings on the pokémon)
Personality: (Can play out, but some idea would be helpful to everyone, even if it changes a bit as the RP progresses)
Biography: (Even if they have lived in the town the RP is set in their entire lives something interesting must have happened to them)
Other:
And now a form without my notes on it:

They have found their way through. There is now no option left for you to save your world J, apart from the one we discussed. I know you didn't want to involve anyone else in this, but that time has passed. Team Aurora will not stop because you want to keep this undercover. There is no choice. We have to create the guardians.

a) Normal doesn't count as a type, so all Normal/Flying are treated as pure flying.
b) Aside from Normal/Flying pokémon, part-flying pokémon are trated as being of their other type.
c) All members of the evolutionary line must be, at least in part, of the type your character represents.
d) Where a pokémon is of two types, go with what seems to be that pokémon's 'main' type, the one they seem most like (this is usually the first type, but this may not always be the case) i.e Lucario is Fighting not Steel
