I'm going to Berlin tomorrow!

I'm going to Germany tomorrow 'til Friday with my parents. :D Woo! I've never been before, and I get to use German - or, well, attempt to sort through the tons of vocabulary I won't know and translate what I do know for my parents. Which should be loads of fun. And hopefully I'll learn more German and I'll eat awesome German food and see German things and visit German places and... ja.

Plus I get to fly. I love flying. :3

Du bist mit dein familien nach Deutschland? Das ist sehr gut! Viel spass!
You're going to Germany with your family? That's great! Have fun!

Kai I do believe that should be

Du wirst mit deine Familien nach Deutschland gehen?

Also German food is pretty horrible, I'm sorry to say. :(

Hmm... I'm not completely sure about this - correct me if I'm wrong - but I think it's "mit deiner Familie", because mit makes it take the dative case. And the last verb might be better off being fahren, but gehen is probably also perfectly correct - I'm not totally sure.

Hehe, hopefully I'll find something to like about the food, even if most of it's awful. And aww, ..., I hope you get to go sometime.

Thanks, guys - I will have fun. :D

Congratulations! Have lots of fun :D

Edit: You better have fun, or else... >>

Thanks, Flazeah. :]

Only thing I remember that my dad told me was that the airports say "niner" instead of "nine" since nine and nein are pronounced the same and stuff. Yeah, nothing interesting. Hopefully you'll find some good food there~

but I think it's "mit deiner Familie", because mit makes it take the dative case.

shit, mit is dativ? I am terrible at remembering which prepositions go with which cases.

then, yes, it is deiner.

Aww, you're going to Berlin? Shame you aren't coming closer to where I am in Germany right now. XD

It's much lovelier over here, with all its ruralness. >3 But still, never been to Berlin so I actually have no idea.

Have fun! =D Will you be staying in Germany for Halloween? Not sure about the part you're going to, but they do some festivals around where my dad lives in the south-west.

Thanks, guys. :3 Aww, I'd like to see rural Germany, too. You're lucky, Cirrus. Your dad lives in the southwest, huh? Would you be anywhere near Stuttgart, if that counts as the southwest? I've heard that it's nice.

I'm going back on Halloween, I think. But maybe there'll be festivals before that? I hope I see some, if so.

Ah! I too speak German, for I am - I mean...

Ich bin Schnappi, das kleine krokodil! Guten abend.

Luftwaffe gekraschen gewesen in der wasser wisse!

Was ist das? Das ist "vass"!

DAS... AUTO.

Ich liebe die kleine nachtmusik!

Right on, MD! I couldn't have said it better myself.

But yeah, from what I've heard, I would be lead to believe that opal's telling the truth about German cooking. Enjoy yourself, anyway.

Ah... Uh...
Eins, zwei, drei, vier, fünf, sechs, sieben,
Wo ist den mein schotz geblieben?
Ich finde Deutschland prima! Viel spass! Essen kuchen für mich!

I'm bad at German.
Achto Liebe...

Thanks for the good wishes, guys, but a really strange thing happened. Basically, my flight got cancelled because it snowed. In England. It didn't affect all the airports, but I was meant to be going from Luton and it did affect Luton. They didn't seem to be that prepared and they were trying to de-ice the runway and the wings of planes that were meant to be taking off. Thing is, it kept snowing and they just couldn't efficiently de-ice the runway or something because of that. So we sat on the plane for three hours waiting, and then we were told the flight was cancelled. And back at the airport check-in bit, we had to ask people if we could get another flight, and the next available one was on Thursday, so we figured there wasn't any point in going there for less than a full day - we'd have to go back on Friday.

The really strange, but good part of all this was that on the plane next to me was a German girl - or, well, girl/woman - she's twenty-one - who speaks English well - who was meant to be flying to where she lives in Berlin, and we talked a bit, and eventually, after her trying to reach her friends who she'd been staying with and not being able to, we offered that she stay with us, and she accepted. She's going back on Thursday.

So yeah. Yesterday was really, really weird. But I got to listen to people speak German, and speak a bit myself. :3 And there's an actual German girl at my house.

British weather scares me sometimes.

Wow. That's like a plot twist, except in real life.

Well, I'm sorry you didn't get to go to Germany, but now you can add a German girl to your friends roster!
