Open Legend of the Stone Tablet

Tala slowed down as the boy in the wheelchair rolled beside her, waiting until he was in front of her before resuming her quick pace. Her Dratini stopped behind the wheelchair, and as she approached, she saw why. Some - some adult, standing there and effectively blocking the pathway... "Who are you?" she demanded. "We need to get to our dorms. I don't care about birdsong or romance - the quicker I get to my room, the better." She shifted her weight from one foot to the other, glowering at the boy, the adult and the wheelchair as if everything was their fault.

Why is he doing this anyway? And smiling like that? I bet he's making fun of me, or my mom told him about how I need to 'open up'. She doesn't know anything about me, but she wants me to make friends! Scowling openly now, she crossed her arms. You could practically feel anger radiating from her. Pretty soon there would be more people stopping - something she did not want.

Up ahead she could see some of the others heading to wherever it was she was going as well, with their Pokémon.

They seemed to have stopped, as if something was blocking the path.

When they finally reached the odd commotion, Arkra halted and blinked, looking up at the odd man in curiosity. Her trainer did the same. Hmm... so there was some man... probably a teacher maybe? Standing in the way along with a kid in a wheelchair. Hmm. She gazed at them with numb curiosity, not thinking much of them. They would move... eventually. Arylett was in no rush.

And then she saw that girl... the Weird Girl... the one who always gave her the evil looks, ranting angrily about how they needed to get out of the way. Arylett glared at her, irritated. Bah, didn't she have any patience? Ungrateful little bitch, why did most people lack patience? She hated it when people complained about stupid pointless things. They would move eventually, just wait damn you!

The bitter edges of fury were stabbing at her.

"Who are you?" she demanded. "We need to get to our dorms. I don't care about birdsong or romance - the quicker I get to my room, the better."

At Tala's response, the man pointed to her. "Professor Ecnamor at your service." he spoke with a thick accent, before pointing towards Arylett. "Would you not grace this young lady with you pesence, kind sir?" he inquired of Tala. Jason stared, his face twistimg in laughter. The man was obviously confused, as anyone could see Tala was a girl.

Tala twitched. Just... what? "I'm a girl." she said flatly. She would have tried to push past him, but it looked impossible, especially factoring in the wheelchair. Well, there were other people waiting now too - too many, actually. Feeling crowded, she scooped up her Dratini, turned her back on the group and found a convenient spot on the wall to lean on. Probably proving that she was ungrateful and very rude, but she couldn't stand so many people, and their attention on her...

Her Dratini looked up at her, obviously confused, and just muttered a "It doesn't matter." and kept her eyes fixed on empty space. The boy in the wheelchair was laughing, as if it was the funniest thing ever, and she stopped meditating to shoot a glare of Doom at him before returning to her ever-so interesting examination of nothingness.

She looked at the man, completely thrown off and flustered. All her anger had faded away. This was very unexpected, it had just come out of practically nowhere!

In her mind, she found it hilarious and strange. It was such a horrible pairing. That and the guy thought she was a man. She giggled a bit, finding it both funny and at the same time, very strange and awkward. "Oh no... no..." The girl restrained her nervous laughs, looking from Tala to the professor.

Professor Ecnamor smiled at Tala. "My apologies. That makes the pairing all the more beter, don't you think?" he asked, showing white teeth. Jason stopped laughing, watching in interest. "Oh yes, girl-on-girl is wonderful, wouldn't you agree?" Ecnamor asked Jason this time. A look remisent of a confused smiley came to Jason's face as he wheeled back slowly.

((Oh, we're in a building? Sorry.))
Aria sighed and stepped out. She had Pokemon with her; this crazy man didn't. She facepalmed when she heard what the man had said. Onestar put his shield down and laughed. "You're crazy!" he chuckled.

"Umm... wha.. wha?" Stammered the still flustered Arylett. She felt even more nervous and odd and giggly. It didn't make any sense at all. She edged away from the strange professor, twisting around her shirt and fidgeting.

Arylett wished he would take this sort of attention off of her. She didn't like it.

Tala wasn't listening, it seemed, face set in a scowl. If looks could kill, the room would have been dead and rotting - and with every word, the scowl seemed even darker, as if promising someone's murder very soon. This wasn't going to end well, so she finally called out, "Shut up! I'm not going to accompany anyone to this stupid dance!" Why is everyone making fun of me? I hate them. I wish they'd leave me alone... She looked at her new Pokemon and sighed. "I don't suppose you know Dragonrage? Twister?" she asked plaintively. The Dratini shook its head, bewildered.

The girl sighed and shifted so that her back was to the professor. "I can't wait to leave this damn place. I can't believe my mom thought I'd get better if I tried to talk and make friends. She's convinced I've been sick since the Absol attacked me..." She was talking to the Dratini, but someone stealthy or stubborn enough might listen in - she didn't care at the moment.

She watched in bewilderment and some slight fear as the Weird Girl reacted rather furiously.

Why was she so angry all the time? Gah!

Arylett edged away from both the professor and her, this wasn't fun anymore. At first, it was. But now the Weird Girl was angry... and angry people made her very nervous. She hoped she wasn't angry because of her and her odd giggles.

At that moment, there was only one thing she wanted to do.

Get as far away as she could from either the professor or the Odd Girl.

The Profssor sighed. "You don't know what you'll be missing." he tutted, waving his finger. The man nodded in Aylett's direction before stalking over to Jason. Bending over, he whispered a few words in Jason's ear befre lumbering off towards back where the students had come from. A red blush sneaked its way up Jason's face as the Charmander vigourously indicated the free hallway. Holding onto the Charmander, Jason wheeled over to Arylett.

"..." A blank stare followed. Palms sweated as he stared. "Er...Hi?"

"Finally," Aria sighed, "He's gone." She stepped forward and brought Onestar with her, examining various places in the room. "I think we should get out of here before he comes back, so we don't get stuck in any awkward situations."

Onestar nodded in agreement. "Abra!"

[[Tree? There are tress inside buildings?]]

[George Mac High School here in the city I live in (I go to a different high school, btw) has a tree growing indoors. It is two stories tall :D]

Eric grinned. "Sure, why not!" he responded, "it may be fun! Besides, you are the only person I really know anyways."

Tsunami could only facepalm as he looked at his owner. What a dumbass... How can he not see that this guy is HITTING on him!? Heck, even that Aipom using ATTRACT on me would be less blatant than this!

Stefan smiled wide from Eric's answer.
"Thanks Eric." he said to the boy.
Walking away Stefan stopped and ran back to the boy.
"May I hold your hand?" he asked blushing.

Oh crap.

...Why was he looking at her like that? She didn't like it!

And yet... she did at the same time. It was that weird awkward giggly feeling that had come over her again. Arylett liked attention, but hated it at the same time. Rather paradoxically.

She avoided his eyes carefully, removing her glasses and putting them on her head so that his face would have less detail.

"Um... hey?"

Jason nodded, holding out his hand. "Names Jason, and you?" he asked. The Charmander frowned at the girl, a breath of small flames escaping from his lips. The teen patted the head of the Pokemon, waiting slowly. "What're your interest?"

Her Horsea watched the two of them with increasing interest and curiosity. Hmm...

Argh, she hated that question. She always answered it wrong or stupidly. Arylett hesitated several seconds, around 30. Much more than a normal person would... she was trying to think an appropriate response. Her slow mind worked even slower under pressure. She just stared at his hand stupidly.

"I'm Arylett..." Her voice came out plainly, rather monotone-ish. It sounded very dry. "And uhhh... I like stuff..."

She was such an idiot.

When he recieved a reply, he nodded. "Kaykers. Is that your first Pokemon? This little guy is mine." he muttered. The Charmader scratched him after hearing the word 'guy' come from his mouth. "...or is it a girl? I dunno."

...Kaykers?

What?

She let that slide for the moment. It was irrelevant. All she did was nod and let him do the talking. All this socializing stuff made her rather uneasy, especially with the Weird Girl looming about.

"I guess mine's a... girl... maybe..."

The Horsea nodded in confirmation, still watching the two humans with increasing interest.

Jason nodded. "That's nice, although I was talking about mine. What's your favorite type of Pokemon to hang around? Like water, dark, etc.? I like Water and Ice types but that's okay. How are you adjusting thus far?" he asked from his wheelchair.
